Watching this Scott knew that he was going to the side so he decided to block him an went towards him, as he was about to catch him, Max used the reverse end of the pole to balance and push himself to the right. Lydia didn't take it to her heart, she stared at Jackson thinking something. And then turned to Scott, as she was watching him easily score point after point. She turned to Allison and asked, "What do you think about this McCall kid?"

"I don't know. I think he must've been a good player last year. He must have improved in the holidays."Allison replied.

Other side of the field coach was talking to Max. "Want do you think? Think you can take them both, Argent? If you prove to be better than them, I might consider making you the captain."

"Coach, you and me both know that if I do that both of them will be p.i.s.sed off." Max calmly replied.

Coach turned to him and asked, "So what? You afraid, Argent? I've known your father from a long time, and by the looks of it, he doesn't seem to afraid of anything. Are you like your father, Argent?"

Max was thinking I'm his mind, (Not afraid of anything, my a.s.s. He'll be s.h.i.+vering in front of mom), but he still said, "When was the last time you've seen me afraid, coach?"#laughed#

After hearing this coach was ecstatic. He called, "McCall, Jackson, both of you on defense. Argent, go shoot."

Max was walking towards them and took the ball. He saw Scott was at the goal post while Jackson was in the middle of the field. Max slowly started charging towards them.

Watching this, Jackson knew that he shouldn't fall for this tricks. So he carefully observed only to see Max side step and jump the other side as slip past him.

Scott just watched as Max was closing in on him. He knew one slip up will cost a goal. as he was watching Max, Max held his hand like he was going to take a shot only to do a spin to build his momentum to throw the ball faster at him. Everyone were cheering at this. The coach was whistling as soon as the ball went in. There coach suddenly shouted, "Everyone say h.e.l.lo to your new Captain for lacrosse, Max Argent."

Almost everyone was happy but, Scott who is in Wolf mode went to coach an said, "Coach, I don't agree with this."

"Neither do I" Jackson suddenly voiced from the side.

Coach with a stern expression asked, "What is it now?"

Jackson said, "A Captain should be a all rounder. I don't see him guarding the goal."

Coach thought about it and it seemed fair, so he said "Is that it? Argent, on the defense. Now! you two take a ball and shoot one after the other--

"Let them come at the same time coach. It doesn't matter anyway." Max interrupted him.

Both of them didn't say anything to this they just took a ball each. Jackson suddenly said to Scott, "You on the right, I'm in the left, same time."

Max positioned himself in front of goal. He saw Scott and Jackson coming towards him. Jack threw the ball as fast as he could to Max's left, at the same time Scott did a huge spin to build the momentum of the ball just like what Max did previously and threw it at Max's right.

Max watching then knew that they planned this together. He knew if he tries to catch Scott's ball it'll rip through his mitts, so he ignored Scott's ball and caught Jackson's ball easily. And when Scott's ball was about to reach the goal, Max used the back end of the pole like a snooker stick and pushed Scott's ball out of the goal range.

Scott was staring wide eyed at this. Coach was laughing at this scene. Allison and Lydia were whispering something that n.o.body knows.

At the end of the day Max become the Lacrosse team captain. Lydia and Allison become good friends. Scott and Jackson were p.i.s.sed off.

When they were all ready to leave, Lydia came with Allison and invited everyone in the lacrosse team to her party. Scott agreed happily and forgot about everything as he was staring at Allison. Jason didn't say anything, she knew he'd come. Max said he'll come and went home with Allison.
