Bai Zhen Zhen didn't know how to introduce this "hospital friend".

However, Huo Xiang seemed to be very sociable. He smiled as he straightened his body and extended his hand towards Jiang Muyang.

"h.e.l.lo, Mr. Jiang. I am Director Bai's personal secretary." Huo Xiang completely transformed his casual appearance from just a moment ago and began to formally introduce himself to Jiang Muyang. "My surname is Huo, you can call me Secretary Huo."

Bai Zhen Zhen squinted at Huo Xiang. "To lie through one's teeth," this was exactly what this phrase meant.

"The CEO of a listed company?" Jiang Muyang gave a baffled laugh. "Listen to this older brother, apart from writing well, Zhen Zhen had no other strengths. I totally didn't expect that the high school student who used to like trifle poetry would now manage a listed company!"

Huo Xiang immediately replied: "Yes ah, isn't there a saying… gold will eventually s.h.i.+ne1? In fact, I think it's very appropriate to use this sentence to warn Miss Jiang."

Huo Xiang seemed to have entered the role, his words flew fluently, without hesitation.

Jiang Muyu glanced at him scornfully: "Of course I'm gold, is there any need for you to say it?"

Huo Xiang answered: "Miss Jiang has misunderstood me, I said this sentence served as a warning to you.  You just need to change a word, "gold will eventually be spent2." One can't just sit and eat3, Miss Jiang needs to work hard by herself ah!"

Jiang Muyu gritted her teeth at Huo Xiang's words, and scolded: "What private secretary, a dog's mouth can't spit ivory4! You're just telling one lie after another, where do you look like a person from a listed company! Are you not afraid your nose will grow long? What's more, if you really started a large company that makes big profits, would you still come to this kind of place to have a meal?!"

"Then, Miss Jiang, you're dressed so exquisitely, aren't you also debasing yourself coming to have a meal here?

"This is just the first time! Nothing more than a coincidence!" Jiang Muyu explained in a stern voice, "I usually only eat at restaurants that have more than three Michelin stars!"

Huo Xiang pointed at his clothes: "Coincidentally, it just happens that I was hospitalized here today, and Director Bai came to visit me, this employee, so I brought her here to experience the life of those at the bottom layer."

Jiang Muyu was not convinced and pointed at the packing box on the table and said, "So what's this? You can't bear to leave these leftovers, so you're packing them? Such a loss of face!"

"Alright, Muyu, don't be so noisy." Jiang Muyang couldn't stand it anymore and hurriedly tugged at the corner of her sister's clothes.

Huo Xiang was born with a gift: the gift of spouting bulls.h.i.+t xD

1: 是金子，总会发光的 -> A variation of 'not all that glitters is gold', meaning that anything that's 'gold' has potential to succeed even if it's not 's.h.i.+ning' yet.

2: 是金子, 总是会花光的 only differs in the '花光' from the earlier '是金子，总会发光的'; 花光means to spend all your money, while 发光 means to s.h.i.+ne, therefore instead of s.h.i.+ning, gold will eventually be all spent.

3: 坐吃山空 – lit. just sitting and eating, one can deplete even a mountain of wealth, idiom that means to spend one's money without generating any income.

4: 狗嘴里吐不出象牙 - lit. no ivory comes out from a dog's mouth, meaning no good words can be expected from a scoundrel.
