That night, I drove a critically wounded guy at the doorstep of death, two extraterrestrial siblings, one of which was pa.s.sed out for some unknown reason and three white devils that were half-dead because of cold back to home. My ordinary life has been changed to an extraordinary one before I even realized it.

I was glad that little girl Jeanne was conscious and with me, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do next. Though she appeared somewhat reluctant to be near Black, she still helped me.

There were four wounds on Black's body. Near his heart, in the abdomen, to the side of his waist and on his leg. I was afraid Black's injuries might worsen if I dragged him to the room like I did when he fell in my backyard. So we used a bed sheet as a temporary stretcher to move him to the room that once belonged to my parents. It was harder to get him out of the car than I imagined it to be but nonetheless, we got it done almost perfectly.

I helped by carrying Jean, Jeanne's brother, to the guest room upstairs. Surprisingly, his weight appeared to be the same as normal kid's, unlike my Black. Jeanne helped by bringing the three devils along with her to the same room and kept them near the heater. Jeanne didn't take long to fall in the embrace of sleep and looking at how things were looking normal with the kids, I went back near my Black.

I carefully took off his coat but I didn't dare to remove his blood-stained s.h.i.+rt. Whenever I saw his wound, b.l.o.o.d.y and messed up, I felt like the owing up. I had asked Jeanne before if it might lead to infection or something but she just told me not to worry. She knew those things related to angels more. I could only trust her.

That night, my anxious mind didn't let me sleep and I stayed awake, hoping a miracle would happen and my Black would get alright in an instant magically. But real life ain't a fantasy tale. No miracle happened.

But by the morning, Blacks breathing, that was once shallow, had stabilized. His pulse had increased. The gap between his torn muscles was gradually getting filled. Those wounds on his body were clearly showing signs of healing. His body temperature increased again and he showed no signs of waking up.

Next morning over the breakfast, Jeanne told me about the events that happened last night. It turned out that in order to help those kids, Black ended up in a fight. Black was careless and got himself hurt. Well, he exactly wasn't careless, just he got stabbed in back with a knife dipped in poison by little Jean. It appeared Jean's will couldn't overcome the charm of that demon.

I was worried about his impulsiveness but secretly I was proud of him. He was ready to fight without a second thought to help some stranger just because cause they were his kin. That was awe inspiring.

Everyone stayed asleep or unconscious the whole day except me. Jeanne kept waking up after every two to three hours. It appeared that she was worried about something that wouldn't let her sleep in peace.

By the evening, my Black's face appeared to be rosy as his body burned in fever. The thermometer read 120 degrees. Sweat would occasionally appear on his forehead and I would wipe it off to prevent him from getting uncomfortable.

I couldn't fall asleep again, afraid he might need my help. How can I fall asleep when he was not alright. Even though I wanted to do something about his fever. I couldn't do a thing. I was annoyed by my helplessness. It hurts more to see the one you love get hurt. If I could, I'd choose to suffer from those wounds in his place...

Black

My head hurt when I woke up but after a while that pain faded away. When I looked around, I saw my Eve, sitting on the floor, her head leaned against the bed as she slept. It appeared as if she was afraid of hurting me if she slept beside me.

I wanted to put my Eve on the bed first but I then realized my sweater was too dirty. It was soaked in dried up blood from my body and torn at few places. I first cleaned and repaired it before touching Eve.

When I went near her, I saw those dark circles under her eyes and my heart felt pain and... warmth. There was this wet cloth on my forehead and I knew that she looked after me the whole night.

I stood up, quietly. My right hand made its way below her legs and my right hand held her upper body. Even though I moved carefully, she almost woke up and her nose nestled around my neck. I moved slowly and placed her on the bed.

"... when will you... alright..." I heard her whispers. She was worried about me in her sleep too. I really didn't deserve someone as good as her in my life.

I myself laid down on the bed and looked at my Eve. She was too pleasing to eyes. She looked like a sleeping beauty. That worried expression was really too cute. My eyes couldn't help but wander on the contours of her beautiful face.

But slowly, I felt like some strange force of attraction was governing my gaze, my eyes made their way to her slender neck. Then they travelled down again towards her collarbone. And finally all the way down to her two peaks.

And I was entranced by the way they moved as she breathed.

Eve

I felt something squirm on my body. When I opened my eyes, I saw my Black. His face was about a foot away from my face. He was lying above the pillow, supporting his head with his left hand. And like always he was staring at me.

His right hand was on the forbidden zone. He groped me and enjoyed the feeling while I was sleeping.

"What are you doing?" I asked him. Surprisingly, his behaviour didn't irk me. And it felt he was doing some normal thing.

"Um... Nothing..." He replied casually and smiled.

"You're such a pervert." But despite me saying it. His hand didn't sway. Instead, he started kneading me, softly. It sent a spark down my spine and my mind that was hazy with sleepiness before jolted awake.

"Hands off," I said and pushed his hand away.

And at that moment I remembered how seriously wounded Black was before. I instantly sprang up and sat down.

"Are you alright?" I asked as I observed him carefully.

He was wearing the same white sweater. But there was no blood on it. The blood on his sweater like magically disappeared. The ripped off places where the knife had stabbed him was repaired. His clothes appeared brand new. Black's face was as pale as it normally used to be. Though his fine long hair was still messed up a little. He must have woken up not too long ago. His appearance made me think that the Black was wounded but only in my dreams.

"I'm perfectly fine."

"Show me," I said. Inside my heart, I was afraid that my Black was hiding his wounds.

"What?"

"Take off your sweater and show me," I commanded.

He gave me a skeptical look as if he was looking at some insane person but I was perfectly sane. I knew he wouldn't obey me so I went ahead and tugged his sweater up his stomach.

He grunted a little but then he reluctantly raised his hands, letting me take off his sweater completely.

There really was no wound on his body. I remembered how ugly that gash near his heart looked but now not even a scar was present there. I couldn't help but touch his smooth skin and pinch him. My hand was caressing those apparently wounded places on his body when I heard him speak.

"Now it's my turn."

"Huh?"

"I want to see if you're alright." Black smiled in a mischievous way and his eyes looked as if they were planning something evil.

His hand went towards my s.h.i.+rt and I instantly clenched my s.h.i.+rt and held it down.

He grasped my hands and pinned me down on the bed. One of his hand held both of my hands above me and his other hand tugged my s.h.i.+rt upwards.

I was nervous but I couldn't resist him. My heart raced as he stared at my bunnies covered by underwear. I considered them as perfect but I was curious about what he might think. In his green eyes, there was a mixture of l.u.s.t and happiness. He looked at my body carefully, as if he was trying to remember every finest detail about me. He gazed upon me as if he was bewitched. There was such pa.s.sion in his fiery eyes as if he was mesmerized by a spell, as if I was the only person present in the world, as if he was a wolf and I was his prey.

And I loved the way he looked at me...

"Like what you see?" I teased him while trying to sound as normal as I could.

He let go of my hands but I couldn't muster enough strength to push him away or tug my s.h.i.+rt down. I felt embarra.s.sed but when I looked at him adoring me, I felt happy.

He looked at me in my eyes and replied.

"I love it!"

He came closer and closer. His eyes, there were clouded with l.u.s.t a few moments ago became clear again. He kissed my cheeks and whispered in my ears.

"You're so beautiful."

Then, he laid down beside me and lowered my s.h.i.+rt himself. I exhaled heavily. I didn't remember since when I had held my breath.

"I'm sorry. My evil nature acted up. Next time I see that demon, I'll really teach her a lesson." Black apologized. There was this embarra.s.sed look on his face.

Why the h.e.l.l are you acting so shyly?

It was I who was a.s.saulted!

Even though I thought like that, I couldn't get myself to scold that cute man. He was my weakness and I knew that I will never be able to resist him.
