"Ohhh. Now you're feeling cold?" I teased him. When I say it's cold, he won't listen to me. But he expects me to listen to him when he says the same. To be honest, I no longer felt cold. I just felt warm in his embrace. And the gentle rays of the sun did indeed warmed up the air, though minutely.
"Yeah. Your nose will be runny if you stay here." Black held my shoulders and pushed me back from his embrace. I didn't want to let him go but I couldn't resist him. Then his hand went under my waist and he stood up while scooping me up in his arms.
It was still scary but this time, I didn't try to hold him up like before. I just wrapped my arms around his neck and enjoyed being carried like a princess.
I looked at his charming handsome face and he looked at me back. He didn't fear he would stumble upon something and we both might fall.
"I love you," I said again. I felt bashfulness and shyness when I said it while looking at him in his eyes. It was different from whispering it into his ears. I felt happy from inside as I let him know my feelings.
"I love you too my dear wifey." His voice was music to my ears. No matter what, I'll never get tired of listening to those words from his mouth.
"Wifey? But we aren't married yet."
"What are you saying? Didn't we confess."
"Yes but..." I didn't know what to speak anymore. He was totally oblivious to the matrimonial stuff. His common sense was lacking in this department too.
"At Eden, you just confess and you start living together like husband and wife after that. Is it different here?"
Black asked with an innocent smile. I was almost sure that he didn't even know that acceptance of the ring is the mark of engagement. He might have come up with the ring randomly.
But would marriage be different? Except for the ceremonies, nothing will be different in our life. I had accepted my Black as the only one in my heart. And he had already made so many heartfelt vows. Would it make a difference if we do the same thing in another place? Unlike other girls, I've never dreamt about my own wedding ceremony or my wedding gown. h.e.l.l, I never even dreamt I'd find someone I loved this much. But I did find him and I didn't want to disappoint him. So I didn't mind it...
"Uhm... It's a bit different here."
"I didn't know," Black replied and pouted.
"But we will go by the rules of Eden. My... Dear... Hubby..." My heart thumped every time I opened my mouth to say a word. I felt so shy at that moment that I wanted to dig a pit and jump in. My marriage was way too quick. A few moments ago he hadn't even confessed and a few moments later we were married! The world of angels was really strange.
"What are you getting all embarra.s.sed for?"
But when I saw his face bright with happiness, I knew I wouldn't ever regret it. Even though they were very minute but I felt subtle changes in his mood and behaviour. He appeared more free, more otherworldly. As if some weight had been lifted off his shoulder. His eyes shone brighter than ever before. That wide grin on his face was intoxicating. I felt being poisoned with happiness as I looked at his smile.
Before, he felt too closed up and drowned in perfection. His every word, his every action was pre-planned and perfect. But today, he felt more real, more alive.
I didn't know when but we had reached the bedroom. He gently placed me on the bed and stood there for a moment before crawling on the bed. He was above me, just like before. One of his legs was between my legs and his arms on either side of me. But this time, he was looking in my eyes, instead of somewhere else.
He leaned down and planted kisses on my left cheek one after another, continuously. With every kiss, he slowly closed the distance between his lips and mine. My heart fluttered madly thinking about how it might be the consummation after marriage. Sometimes, I feel like I don't have a heart but a beast caged inside my ribs.
My Black held my face in his right hand. Our lips met and we kissed pa.s.sionately. I closed my eyes and relished the taste of his soft lips. I could smell his breath and it like some sweet candy. It was at that time a thought hit me that I hadn't brushed my teeth in the morning and my breath must be stinky. But soon I threw that thought to the back of my mind. I'll ask for forgiveness later.
He continued kissing me. Every time he kissed, he became more ferocious as if he wanted to eat me up. Sometimes, he would suck on my upper lip and sometimes, he would even bite my lips. In reply, I did my best to return his affection the same way. I wrapped my arms around his neck and tried to pull him towards me more. We continued and I knew I was never gonna have enough of his kisses. I remember how inexperienced we both were when we kissed for the first time. My Black matured too quick. He became a pro from noob in a matter of months.
It didn't take him long to go further. He pushed out his tongue and licked my lips as if he was asking me permission. I parted my lips, giving him entry inside. And there his tongue met mine and both were soon engaged in a war. Our tongues entangled with each other, like snakes coiling against each other, sometimes pus.h.i.+ng sometimes gently messing with each other. I have to say, he tasted sweet. Really sweet. As if his tongue was coated in honey.
It was such a pa.s.sionate kiss that I felt breathless. But he saw through me and withdrew, trying to give me air to breathe. I sucked in air as soon as I could and a.s.saulted him this time. I didn't want to be separated from him for even a second...
His other hand soon made its way inside my clothes and gently rubbed my waist. I felt a tinge of embarra.s.sment thinking of the things that will follow but I was ready in my heart. I guess I've always been ready and never once I've said no to him. I'd give him everything he wants.
But then, someone did knock on the door. "Can I come in?" I heard a girl's voice. It was Jeanne. And we both instantly froze, never expecting someone to come at that moment.
I was annoyed. Very infuriated. It kinda happened every time he showed me some affection.
"Give us a moment," Black replied loudly. And fell down on the bed, to my right side.
He snuggled me in his arms and I kept my head on his shoulder. He panted and tried to calm his breathing. Like me, he too was breathless.
"You're just too much for my little heart dear wifey," Black held my hand and put it on his sweater, above his heart. His heart was beating wildly. My heart had was beating fast too but his heart had like gone berserk and as if it didn't know how to beat normally. I felt proud of myself for being able to drive him crazy like this.
"Come in. The door's open." Black called her after a few moments.
She quietly entered. Jeanne was wearing a pink dress. Yesterday, I had tried to search for some small clothes for her and her brother. And luckily I found some of Lucy's old clothes. She looked so adorable in them.
"I heard some noise upstairs. Thought sir had was healed," Jeanne said while looking at me. For some reason, she was avoiding Black ever since I met her.
"He is awake now," I replied while pointing at Black.
Jeanne turned her eyes towards my Black and she was frightened. It was like she was a mouse and Black was a cat who might eat her up anytime.
"Sir... Can you... heal my... brother now?" I don't know why she was so afraid of Black. How can anyone be frightened of such a cute being!
I was very disappointed in that little angel. My Black saved both of their lives. He got hurt so badly while saving them and the first thing she says wasn't a thank you but a new request of healing her brother.
"He will heal after a while. He just woke up and he is a little weak now." I denied. Though the main reason for my denial was that Black was really weak. He wasn't even successful in making the surroundings warm when we were outside.
"It's ok. I'll try. I might have hit that little boy too hard," Black said. He got up and messed up my hair before saying "She's just a kid. Be more forgiving."
I was surprised at how mature he was behaving in front of that kid. When he stays with me alone, he's such a naughty crying kid. His behaviour changed wayyyy too fast.
Jeanne quickly walked upstairs. Black followed her. And I followed them both. I took his advice and let go of that meaningless grudge that was formed by that girl interrupting us.
Jean was still lying unconscious on the bed upstairs. Black sat on the bed. He held Jean's hand with his left hand and placed his right hand over his forehead as if he was checking his fever.
Jean's skin started glowing as Black healed him. The abilities of angels are really fascinating.
After the glow vanished, Jean tried his best to open his eyes. His eyelids opened for a second but then they fell down again as if he was sleepy.
"Where am I?" Jean asked after he successfully opened his eyes and looked around.
"Oh boy. Grow up. Getting unconscious for two days straight. I just flicked your forehead."
I didn't want to laugh but I couldn't hold myself back. Black too was unconscious for two days before this and he reprimanded a little kid.
Jean sat and looked around carefully again. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw his sister standing nearby.
"You ain't that strong yourself. I saw too fell for Asmodeus's charm... But thank you for your help, sir." Jean politely thanked. I was glad that Jean got more manners than his sister.
"Thank you... For your help... We both are very grateful... But we should be... going now." Jeanne spoke to Black, her words not coming properly. But Black wasn't too bothered by it.
"Why are you so scared Jeanne? Did something happen?" Jean asked.
"Everything's alright. But let's go." She spoke normally to her brother too. Only Black frightened her. Did she perhaps have fear of guys?
"But I'm so tired after running for so long. Can't we stay here for a few days? I'm sure this cool air won't mind." Jean laid down on the bed again and rested.
"No!" Jeanne replied loudly.
"I'm curious. Where will you go?" Black asked the little angel with a little smile and she went numb as if she had seen a ghost. I was dumbstruck. My Black just smiled sweetly. Where was the scary part!?
"We... We will... Manage somewhere." She even took a step back when she said it. Afraid her answer might be wrong. Black then checked his pockets.
"Don's card downstairs. Wait a bit." Black said and walked downstairs. As soon as he went downstairs, Jeanne walked towards Jean.
"Can you walk?" Jeanne asked.
"I think so."
"I'll carry you if you can't. We need to go away from here." Jeanne looked at me and continued. "Miss... You... You too should escape sometime."
"Why are you so scared sis?"
"Because he's not someone who returned back from Gehenna. He's a bloodthirsty." Jeanne told her brother. Hearings that word, Jean too was scared. Jeanne had spoken that word when we were in the car too.
"Then why did you not tell me about it before!?" Jean sprang out of the bed, all ready to go away.
"Because he's a Seraph too! And I didn't know of anyone else who could heal your severe injuries!" Jeanne hurriedly explained.
By that time my Black was back. And the siblings stopped talking.
"Go to this old man. He's the head of Gaia core. You should be able to meet him if you show them this card."
Black pa.s.sed a white coloured card which had some words transcribed, probably the address. Jeanne took it, reluctantly. She held her brother's hand and they both started walking towards the door.
Black went ahead and sat down on the bed.
"But are you sure you want to go?" Black said with a sweet smile. But they didn't stop walking away as if they never heard him or they didn't want to hear him.
"I think I can cure your stigma. I can stop the degradation." Black spoke leisurely.
I didn't understand anything at all. But hearing those words, both the kids froze. Neither of them took a step ahead. Slowly they turned their body.
"You... How do you know it!?" Jean asked.
"Let me introduce myself first. My name is Ablackwing," Black proudly introduced himself with his chin up. His posture was so heroic and arrogant at that moment as if hearing his name would bring the kids to knees and they will soon start wors.h.i.+pping him. I again got embarra.s.sed over my choice of name. What the h.e.l.l was I thinking back then?
"Ablackwing who?"
The siblings looked confused. And I was sure they have never heard about such a person ever. Obviously. How could they? It was given by me a few months ago. Black slumped back on the bed.
"Well... This is awkward..."
