“Workers in our manor brought some mountain products today .  Our Marquess told me to send some to Marquess Yuan and Princess Mu this morning . ”

Marquess Yuan’s house was nearby too and it was just two blocks away from Marquess Ning’s mansion .  But it was not the same direction of Princess Heshuo’s Mansion .  “It’s so considerate of Marquess Ning,” said Jixiang .  She bowed to Song Fu saying, “Please send our princess’ sincere regards to marquess . ”

Song Fu paused for a while and questioned, curious, “Why isn’t princess at home now?”

Hearing his words, Jixiang whispered in a low voice, “Empress got ill so princess entered the palace to take care of her this morning .  She seemed so tired that she went to bed as soon as she came back . ”

Jixiang was called into the room when Song Fu left . No candle had been lightened so it was a bit gloomy . Jixiang couldn’t see her master’s face clearly but she could hear that her master’s voice had got husky . “Did someone of Marquess Mansion come here just now?” asked Mu Nanzhi .

“Yes, princess, Butler Song came here just now .  He said that workers in their manor sent some mountain products here so marquess wanted to share some with you to have a taste,” Jixiang quickly responded .

Mu Nanzhi sniffed and tears were going to shed again though she controlled them well just now .  Mu Nanzhi twitched her mouth and uttered, “What kind of food are they? Tell me . ”

Jixiang didn’t expect that Mu Nanzhi would ask such a question but she still replied quickly , “There are a box of rose shortcake, a box of water-chestnut cake, a box of puff pastry, and a box of donkey-hide gelatin . Besides, there are also sixty cups of bird's-nest soup, one kilogram of snow toad, one and half kilograms of fish maw, two and half kilograms of crevice honey, a bag of bamboo shoots, a bag of mushrooms, a bag of hazel seeds, three preserved chickens and two beer legs . ”

Mu Nanzhi’s voice got much more husky .  “Go . . .  Go to take those snacks for me . I want to eat some .

“Okay, wait a minute, princess . ”

Jixiang walked into the sleeping chamber again with four plates of snacks on her hands .  After that Mu Nanzhi waved her hand to let Jixiang retreat herself .  Facing with those delicate snacks on the table, she wiped tears off her eyes and began eating, taking one water-chestnut cake with her left hand and using the other to take a piece of puff pastry .  She kept stuffing the snacks into her mouth and totally ignored the strict table manners . . .
