With some of her experiments done for the most part, Elizabeth glanced over at Sun, successfully sending the poor boy into existential fear. "Suuuuun! Fight me," She didn't even wait for his response as Death True Qi began to revolve at speeds her Death Magic of days past could never hope to match.

When Sun finally put on his armor and gauntlets, erupting with frighteningly hot Pure Yang Flames, Elizabeth made her move.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

To no one's surprise, Sun thoroughly outcla.s.sed Elizabeth when it came to close combat. When it came to physical strength and prowess, few if any cultivators could compete with Pure Yang Cultivators. The further a cultivator of the Extreme Path of Physicality made it with their cultivation, the bigger the gap there would be between them and regular cultivators. Even if Elizabeth wasn't a regular cultivator by any stretch of the imagination, as both she and Sun had just entered the Spirit Realm and didn't have any time to build up their cultivations, she was utterly outcla.s.sed.

Exchanging punches only wasted her strength, even with Battle Hysteria growing in intensity over time and her Limbs of Corrosion warding off Sun's Pure Yang Flames. Moreover, as she didn't have the benefit of her Time Blade Essentials while she fought barehanded, Sun's attacks rained down on her several times faster than she could move.

Even with a devastating increase of about 500% to her Strength and Defense, even with her Transcendent Strength Mystic Art adding on even more potential to her physical prowess, Elizabeth was still getting thrown around like a toy before Sun's horrifying physical strength. Still, to consolidate recently ascended cultivation bases, this had to be done and though she was being tossed around without a chance to retaliate, it wasn't like she was being hurt; not truly hurt, anyway.

Sun might have given her a couple bruises and scratches, but truly lasting damage or damage that could lower her combat prowess was nigh-impossible to deal. First and foremost, Sun didn't have it in him to go after Elizabeth with the intent to kill. That combined with the truly miserable state he put her in was enough to guarantee nothing too serious transpired. But even if he tried to kill Elizabeth as if they were hated enemies that couldn't coexist in the same world, Elizabeth's myriad of abilities were more than enough not only persist, but even reverse the situation.

Ignoring the spells she could use and her innate ability to damage his soul — a weakness that put Sun at her mercy given the difference in their Souls' strength — With just her Mystic Arts and Innate Abilities, Elizabeth could resist Sun's all-out physical a.s.sault. Even at this very moment when she was being manhandled so roughly, she was suppressing her skills — most prominently those that came from her s.p.a.ce and Time affinities — and was struggling for the sole purpose of getting control of her body as quickly as possible.

If Elizabeth made full use of her Timeworn Eyes and Kinesthetic Acuity instead of relying solely on her evolved Martial Art and Spiritual Sense, even if she couldn't beat Sun, at the very least, it would be possible for her to not be in such a miserable position. As a silver lining, however, after an hour or so of getting pummeled without a chance to fighting back, Elizabeth finally began showing signs of proficiency with her Spiritual Sense. Getting a skill literally beaten into you was, after all, one of the best ways to remember, and Elizabeth was no stranger to masochism in the name of efficiency…

Through the punches, kicks, knees and elbows Sun and Elizabeth communed. Their language was that of martial arts and though there were no words verbally exchanged, both of them understood more than had they spoken through rigorous debate. Everything from their opponent's expression to the moves they made provided for a surreal experience, wherein it almost felt like the other could understand their thoughts and emotions.

Then… as Elizabeth finished adapting; the rate with which her spiritual sense could improve no longer rose at blazing speeds. First, she added the full effect of her Innate Skills — excluding Ghastly Strike to not make a joke out of their fight. With Timeworn Eyes, Kinesthetic Acuity and Direct Manifestation, her reaction time and evasive capabilities rose to surpa.s.s Sun's. With Touch of Temp and Temp Drain, while she couldn't completely ward off Sun's Pure Yang Flames, she certainly suppressed their intensity.

"Go all-out," Elizabeth faintly said as s.p.a.ce True Qi began to form two identical images of a diagram on her thighs. The diagrams, though rough and mostly empty, s.h.i.+ned with golden light before blazing like the rays of the sun when it was completely activated.

"s.p.a.ce Art: Contraction!" Distance became irrelevant to Elizabeth as the degree with which she could control the shortening of s.p.a.ce around her nearly spanned the size of the room itself. Though the room was in essence Elizabeth's living Quarters, after putting aside the formations on the floor, there was close to a thousand square meters of empty s.p.a.ce. Thus, with Elizabeth and Sun flickering from clash to clash, the advantage Sun held started to draw closer and closer to non existence.

"Time Art: Temporal Acceleration!" By casting such a spell on herself, Elizabeth, though still unequal to Sun in raw speed, now rarely took a hit where she was unable to counter to some degree.

Sun's eyes narrowed dangerously as he saw Elizabeth slowly start to ramp up her strength, but since she told him to go all out, he didn't hesitate to join her in escalating the battle. Instantly, he both changed his Gauntlets to their Speed-form while the origin points for his Pure Yang Beams began to condense at his fingertips.

Smiling at Sun's compliance, Elizabeth muttered, "Manifest: s.p.a.ce, Time!" whilst her first three Chaos Seals activated with True Qi as their power source instead of Magic. The result completely caught Sun off guard as a sudden heavy pressure and suffocating gravity descended on him. For a long time now, Elizabeth's Grandmist Pressure had yet to prove useful in battle and was mostly reserved for tempering her body; the reason being, it just wouldn't do much against the Spirit Realm opponents she faced; even Saints were hardly affected. However, now that she had True Qi as a power source, the future was looking brighter for her first three Chaos Seals; doubly so, after she completed the set and worked on upgrading her seals with Base Grandmist.

Bang! Bang! Elizabeth pulled out Chaosbright in its base form and shot Sun twice. Alas the energy bullets were extinguished with "weak" beams of Pure Yang. After getting his bearings, Sun almost panicked as he saw Elizabeth teleport before him with saber in hand and right then and there, he pulled out his most powerful ability; his most recently unlocked ability…

From an impossible angle, Sun's chop-shaped hand cut through s.p.a.ce much like Elizabeth's spatial contraction method and blocked the saber that would have diced through his unguarded torso. This strike was unnaturally strong to the point where the residual strength carried after blocking Elizabeth, launched her across the room like a shooting star. The collision against the formations isolating her room from the rest of the palace almost collapsed and Elizabeth herself was left with blood streaming from the corners of her mouth.

"Tsk, you crazy kids… Either go outside to continue your little play fight or stop," Yrre muttered. Disbelief tainted her voice as she thought Elizabeth and Sun had gone stupid from the blood rus.h.i.+ng to their heads. To actually escalate their battle to this point, "You're going to break these formations…"

"Mhmm… Fine," Elizabeth snorted in mild satisfaction as she stood up unscathed from the devastating chop. She knew internally that Yrre was right in stopping the fight, but there was a restlessness in her heart to find the limits of her newly ascended cultivation base. With the limited moves she exchanged with Sun, couldn't even begin to estimate how strong she truly was.

As Elizabeth continued to ruminate, Sun was breathing heavier than usual as he approached. When he finally got within speaking distance, he sighed helplessly before praising, "I can't believe you got me to burn part of my blood essence, just now."

"Oh? No wonder you smacked me across the room with that unG.o.dly strength. So, it was because you burned your blood essence…" As she thought about it, she recalled that after a cultivator of the path of Extreme Physicality reached the Spirit Realm, they would unlock the ability to regenerate their blood essence. Sun's current state and previous supercharged attack now made sense to her.

"Sorry… I kind of burned a bit more than I wanted as it was the first time I was trying the technique out. But I still find it insane that even after burning a whole 0.5% of my blood essence, you were ready to jump back into the fight like it was nothing."

Though Sun was apologetic, Elizabeth squinted her eyes at him. She feigned being insulted as she sarcastically remarked, "Wow, a whole 0.5%. Sounds mighty impressive to me~"

For a moment, Sun's borderline idiotic trust in her believe her words through the blatant sarcasm as he quietly remarked, "Well, I'm only capable of burning up to 5% of my blood essence as burning any more than that could not be regenerated naturally…"

Shaking her head at Sun's lacking self confidence, Elizabeth slapped his shoulder and mumbled just loud enough for him to hear, "If not for my methods as a doctor and my experience and skills, even if I had 30 Spiritual Pillars cultivated in the Transcendent Foundation Stage, I might not have been able to walk away from that chop." These words came from an objective standpoint as her eyes shone dangerously upon recalling that earth-shattering chop.
