Leo: Now kids, shall we dance?

*Katherine's POV*

Katherine had just left the library when she b.u.mped into her childhood friend, Aria.

Aria: hey!! Kate!!!

Katherine: hey Aria. What were you doing here?

Aria: I just left the library not long ago and I was heading to the training ground to test out the skill I chose.

Katherine: what a coincidence. So was I. Let's go check it out together.

Katherine and Aria both went towards one the training grounds available in the academy. Katherine was very confident in her abilities. She's just turned 10 some few months ago and had recently to the 7th stage of the squire realm. Very little of the newly admitted students in the academy would be of any challenge to her. Although, on the day of academy's entrance, she had displayed the strength of a 5th level stage expert, it was just to prove to the Heads of departments her ability at controlling mana and a way to show her abilities so she can get chosen by a powerhouse to be a direct disciple. Katherine: okay, we will be taking this training location.

They entered the training room and shut the doors behind them.

Aria was so eager to test her new skill. She immediately dashed to the centre of the training room and readier herself.

Aria: i will go first Kate. I wanna test myself.

With a nod, Kate willingly agreed. She had know Aria for so long to understand that Aria was always the energetic girl.

Katherine watched from the sidelines. Aria was the only girl with a dual element that got admitted into the academy recently. And aside from the strength benefits of being a dual elementalist, one had to train vigorously to advance a stage. Aria, who was already at the 6th stage, is a proof that the girl wasn't slacking off in her training.

Aria stood still for some few moments then she unleashed her skill at a practice dummy beside her. A magic insignia appeared around the practice dummy, the ground around the dummy reformed into a box made of stones. Katherine thought that was the end of Aria's display. This skill could be used to immobilize enemies and capture them, she thought. But then, she heard Aria say "Blow up" and instantly, the box became red hot and exploded.

Katherine, still shocked, gulped down saliva. If one wasn't too careful and shrouded in mana, they wouldn't be able to defend against that attack. It was so strong.

Aria, smiling, called out to Kate.

Aria: how was it?

Katherine: Hmmp. I won't let you leave me behind Aria. You are getting stronger.

Aria: haha, come on, i know you have something up your sleeve that's also powerful enough. Show me.

With a nod, Katherine walked to the centre of the training room and readied herself. Just like Aria, a magic insignia had appeared around the practice dummy Katherine was using and then, she muttered, Light Hazard, immediately, white light shone around the dummy and it melted on the spot. The effect of the light was so strong that Aria had to close her eyes for a few seconds.When Katherine was done, there was nothing left of the practice dummy anymore. She had practically melted the dummy by producing heat from the light element.

Aria: whoa!! So strong. I would hate to be your enemy Kate.

Katherine: haha. Same goes for you Aria.

After some more practice to hone their combat skills, the were famished and decided to head to the cafeteria, after taking a bath that is.

**Few moments later **

Both Aria and Katherine walked into the school cafeteria. On entering, the place became so quiet that you could hear a pin drop. They didn't mind at all and went to order something to eat. Some few moments after they entered, two boys came into the cafeteria. Katherine noticed Aria was looking towards a certain direction. Following her gaze, she saw two handsome boys bickering with a certain boy. Just then she sensed one of them release mana but instantly retracted it. What a great show of control over mana, she thought. Aria had also sensed it too. Suddenly, the certain boy walked out of the cafeteria and the two others followed.

Aria and Katherine decided to tail them. What was going to happen, they wondered. They followed them into an empty training ground. The certain boy was already at the centre of the room and the other two were facing him ready to fight.

One of them suddenly called out to the girls, do you mind closing the doors?

Out of shock, they couldn't react for some moments. They thought they had successfully tailed these guys without being noticed meanwhile, it was the other way around. These guys had just not said anything and let them tag along.

How strong were these guys? Those were the only thoughts in the head of the girls.

Aaron: uhm! Girls, do you mind closing the doors behind you?

Aria was the first to come out of her daze then Katherine. They nodded and closed the door.

Leo, still standing with his hands behind his back said to Aaron and Vincent.

Leo: hmm, maybe if you asked these girls to join you, you boys might have a chance at touching me.

What arrogance, thought Katherine.

Is he really that strong? Thought Aria

Vincent: you talk big. Show us what you have got.

Leo: on a second thought, I won't fight if the girls don't join in. I mean, what more could mere weaklings do to me?

Hearing these words, Aria and Katherine couldn't contain their anger and immediately jumped beside Aaron and Vincent.

Katherine: Hmmp, let's teach this guy a lesson.

Aaron:* with a sinister smile * finally, a good reason to spoil your pretty face.

Leo: i advise you all. Equip yourselves with a weapon.

Aaron was already holding a long sword, Vincent picked up a halberd, Aria picked up a battle axe while Katherine wielded a katana.

Leo:*with a smirk* Come at me when you are ready weaklings.

Vincent was the first to attack with his halberd in hand. He was fast but Leo dodged every single attack of his and landed a kick on his face. Argh! Vincent screamed. What are you all waiting for? Do you want this spoilt brat to keep mocking us? Those words jolted the others to attack Leo together. Their attack was scattered at first but little by little, they had formed a pattern and started attacking in a synchronized and more uniformed manner.

Aaron's sword came down with a vertical slash on Leo. Leo side stepped but that wasn't enough. Immediately, Aria came slas.h.i.+ng with her axe. Leo dodged and stood on the axe. Aria couldn't raise the axe as Leo was on it. Leo was about landing a kick on her when Vincent suddenly parried his attack with his halberd. With that sudden distraction, Aria was able to move her axe to attack Leo but he stepped far back from the duo.

Something was off, Leo thought. Where is the other girl? Suddenly, he felt a cold chill behind him. Interesting, he thought. Kate appeared behind Leo and was going to trap him to surrender but he vanished from the spot he was at. Before she could process what had happened, she had received a kick and was sent flying towards the others.

Leo: i haven't even broken a sweat. You all are to easy.

What is this guy? They thought. We can't even lay a finger on him.

This time, the four of them were mad with anger. Mana started surging from all four of them. Things were getting serious.

Vincent launched an attack at Leo. Leo kicked but Vincent's body was as st.u.r.dy as a rock. Every time Vincent attacked, his movements were as supple as water while his defence were like that of a rock.

Aaron: *Nicely done Vince. When did you manage to advance to the 7th stage, He thought* Lets go.

Adding wind attributes to his attacks, Aaron was moving and simultaneously attacking Leo along side Vincent. His movements were way faster than Vincents' but still, Leo could keep up with him. In the process of dodging both Vincent's and Aaron's attempts at him, Aria had activated her skill and Leo was already enclosed in a box made of the rocks around him.

Nicely done, Vincent took the opportunity to praise Aria and smiled. Seeing his handsome face, she blushed with her face down, but that was not all.

Boom!! Came a sound from within the stone cage.

How is he so strong? They all thought. Could he probably be at the peak of 8th stage?

Leo was already punching his way out of the rock cage when suddenly, a bright light engulfed him at the same time, the rock cage became red hot. Two voices screamed, "blow up", 'Light Hazard"

The rock cage, that was surrounded in a bright light was no more. Aaron and Vincent were worried. The girls were already scared.
