Leo could understand why his soul beast looked this odd. But he had no way of explaining it to his master.

Aria entered the Star Tower to make her beast contract. As always, when it comes to strength, she was always eager to learn something new. She was transported to an empty room within the tower. Looking around, nothing seemed familiar to her. She kept on walking forward until she noticed a huge magic circle on the floor of the room she was in.

Hmm, that's a little strange, she thought. She looked around and found an altar at the centre of the magic circle. Moving closer to the altar, she notice a stone tablet with some instructions on it. It seemed to be talking about blood being a key of sort. Carefully a.n.a.lyzing the information she had gotten, she stood in front of the altar, cut herself a bit and allowed her blood drop on the altar. Instantly, she had felt a connection to something, the altar to be precise. A light shot from the altar to her chest. The light gave her a warm feeling then suddenly, a creature appeared on the altar. Huh? she thought. This is my soul beast?

Similar actions were happening with the other kids. Outside the Star Tower, Fredrick and the rest were waiting for their disciples to exit the Tower when there was a sudden burst of mana.

Fredrick: hmm. Looks like one of them actually succeeded in summoning rare soul beast.

Anderson: It must be Leo then, don't you think Fredrick?

Fredrick: with his potentials, I wouldn't be surprised.

Rose: True though ( Rose joined the conversation) but you can't be too sure. After all, some of the other students might be late bloomers.

They looked at each other, eager to know what the other had contracted and also,igniting a compet.i.tive spirit among themselves. Aria stepped forward and summoned her soul beast. Beside her, a brownish magic circle appeared and in the circle appeared a calf.

Dave walked towards the calf beside Aria and smiled. The calf had red firery hair running from it's head down to its tail. He patted her head and said to her, "you did well kid". You actually made a contract with an Earth Bull and it's actually a variant. Very good child.

Earth Bulls are stubborn creatures and are very difficult to tame. Few of them are usually dual elemental beasts, wielding fire, water or wind as any of their additional elements, But those are extremely rare.

Katherine, stepped forward and summoned her soul beast next. In a golden magic circle, a white horse calf with a horn and wings appeared.

Ava: I am impressed Katherine. You actually contracted a winged unicorn. Your future as a light elemental knight is marvelous, good one child.

Katherine was so happy to receive compliments from her master. She smiled proudly. Philip too, summoned his soul beast and in a yellow magic circle appeared a white tiger cub. Hayden also summoned his soul beast next and in a green magic circle appeared a falcon. Vincent summoned his soul beast and a black tortoise with a snake as it's tail, appeared beside him. Each of the teachers were stunned. Who would have thought that the person that summoned a great beast was actually the commoner child, Vincent, Fredrick thought to himself. What did Leo actually summon, he kept thinking. Then it dawned on him that his prized student had not yet come out of the Star Tower.

Aaron spoke up," Nicely done bro". You contracted a legendary creature.

Vincent: Thanks but you haven't revealed your soul beast to us yet, so it must be majestic. Right?

Aaron didn't reply, instead he stimulated his mana and summoned his soul beast, In a silver magic circle appeared a Silver feathered Phoenix.

Leo: Not bad. I am impressed.

Aaron: Wait a minute! did you just acknowledge me?

Everyone turned to see Leo standing outside the tower, resting on the walls.

Leo: hmmp. not only you. Every one successfully contracted at least a 5th level beast.

he walked up towards the crowd as he spoke.

Leo, Fredrick thought. when did he arrive that I didn't notice? Was I so engrossed in these kids that I didn't sense a presence approaching?

Fredrick: Finally, Leo. You arrive. Show us your soul beast.

****Back in the Star Tower****

Leo has successfully summoned his soul beast. What took him by surprise was the colour of his soul beast, black and gold. A soul beast's colour actually reveals a persons mana affinity as it is linked with the persons soul. How would he explain this to his teacher, he thought. As if reading his thoughts, the soul beast changed it colours to red and yellow. Huh! This is strange, Leo thought. You can read my thoughts? With a nod, his soul beast responded. Nice, Leo thought. These must be some hidden benefits of having a soul beast. What Leo did not know was that a beast can start to reason like a human child after it first evolution at rank 3 and then, it continues to grow. A beast capable of completely communicating and understanding his partner right from day one of it summon is a G.o.d level beast.

Leo rubbed the head of his soul beast, smiled and said, "good boy". What shall I name you? Olfydion or Silverion? The beast shaked it's head.

What? You don't like those names? How about Milios?

Both Leo and the beast took a few seconds to think, then they both nodded. Milios it is. From this moment, we are partners, even in death, you will remain my soul beast.

After Leo was done, a bright light enveloped him and he was instantly teleported out of the tower. When he got outside, he saw Aaron summoning his soul beast.

Leo made a remark that brought the attention of everyone to him. On his appearance, Fredrick had asked him to reveal his summoned beast.

He walked close to Aaron and his soul beast and said to him, "learn some style bro". Then he said,

"Come Forth, MILIOS". A red magic circle appeared close to him and in it appeared a red baby dragon with yellow scales running from the top of its head through its back to its tail.

The Teachers were stunned for a while.

Rose: Its actually a dragon! He managed to get a dragon!

Anderson: This kid. He keeps exceeding our expectations.

Ava, Emma, and Dave were short of words. The only thing that came to their minds when they looked at Leo was MONSTER.

Every disciple had left with the master they came with. Leo followed Fredrick back to his office. Fredrick gave Leo a card. On the card were numbers 10,465. In confusion, he asked;

Leo: What does this mean master?

Fredrick: It's your point card. With it, you can track your points acc.u.mulated. And also, pay for trades made using this card. Don't worry, if you register your mana to it, no one else will be able to use it. Just leave a drop of your blood on the card. That should be all.

Leo did as he was told and his mana was instantly registered on the the card. He looked at the card and saw his available points. From what he understood, acquiring points was a really difficult thing to do. So, seeing huge numbers on the card made him a little startled.

Leo: Master, how did I acc.u.mulate this large amount of points?

Fredrick: Well, for starters, when you arrived, you were already a n.o.ble knight lower realm expert. That alone is a huge achievement. Now, you have advanced and you are now at the mid stage. Although, it's kind of hard to accept your crazy advancement speed but, it is what it is.

After the brief discussion with his teacher, Leo was heading back to his room when he came across Aaron and Vincent. They were heading towards the cafeteria. As they got closer to each other, Vincent initiated a conversation with Leo.
