Cade desperately clicking the slime language skill to delete it but the system kept sending notification that it was permanent. After trying for 15 minutes, Cade stopped.

He blankly stared at the slime language skill and Cade felt like crying. He did not know what he should do now. Cade fell on his knees and just staring blankly somewhere.

"I mess up… again. First, the cardboard… luckily my link growth skill saves me. Now, I have the slime bloodline running through my body and unable to learn the skill of another monster," said Cade.

"I got careless again… no, maybe I am just dumb. I should have gathered more information about the bloodline skill. I can ask Jonathan, who had the armored bear bloodline running through his body about this…" said Cade again.

He found it weird that he can learn a skill of another monster like usual when he had the blood of the Blue Phoenix Family running through his body.

"Is it because I don't have the bloodline skill and thus, I don't have the blue phoenix gene in my body?" Cade wondered.

After he finished thinking all of that, Cade decided to accept everything that had happened. It already happened and there was nothing he can do.

"If I can make my cardboard stronger, the slime bloodline can be stronger too. They did not have much skill but they are not totally useless… I think," said Cade.

He looked at his list of skills and saw the link growth was there and he sighed in relief. Luckily, the skill he had before learning the bloodline skill was not deleted automatically.

The link growth skill had been his most powerful and useful skill and it had created a lot of miracles for Cade.

The skill turned Cade's useless cardboard to a really strong equipment. It also let Cade's luck with one stat points increased to maximum. Other than that, it can also be used to increase his growth potential, his lifespan and many more.

Cade looked at the slime language bloodline skill and it was a grade E level 1 skill. When Cade properly checked it, he found out something new.

He can increase the skill mastery normally as well as using the new magic crystal, slime crystal to increase it.

"So, I guess the slime crystal is used to increase the bloodline skill's mastery… or is it because of my link growth? I wonder if the toad crystal can be used like this too?" said Cade as he was looking at the language skill.

As Cade had made peace with what happened, he started a.n.a.lyzing everything. While he was thinking about the skill, he suddenly came to another realization.

Cade stared at the system with suspicious gazed. He remembered the words used by the system. Not once but twice. It said something humanlike.

First was during the time when Cade was asked if he wanted to learn the bloodline skill. The first confirmation was normal but the second and third confirmation was weird.

The second confirmation was like the system did not believe his choice and the third confirmation was like the system really cannot believe his choice and it was shocked. That was really weird.

Lastly was when it left the reminder that Cade cannot learn any other monster skill and the last of the sentence sound so humanlike.

"System… are you alive?" asked Cade to the system but not to his surprise, there was no response from the system. Cade decided to let it go but that humanlike sentence can somehow hinted at him that maybe the system was created by a human or it was actually controlled by someone.

Cade did not mind that much as he knew the system did not mean anything bad. It had been helping human becoming stronger for the past 10 000 years and it never tried to ruin someone else.

It even asked Cade three times for confirmation in learning the weakest monster bloodline skill… or maybe it was programmed like that and Cade was thinking too much into it.

When Cade was thinking about the system, he came to realize more and he scratched his head while saying to himself, "I am trying to know what the system is but too dumb to realize about what the bloodline skill can do. Stupid Cade. Idiot."

Cade needed to be harsh on himself because he did not want to repeat these kinds of mistakes ever again. He always got too careless and that happened a lot too since he awakened.

Thinking about all the stupid choices he had been making all the time, he sighed. He needed to be more careful not only to the monster but everything else.

After he was done reflecting on his mistakes, he continued his explorations on the first floor. Since he won't be able to learn other monsters' skill, it was not a bad choice to get himself all the slime skills he can get including the bloodline skill.

At the moment, Cade only had three skills. The first being the link growth, the second skill was the physical resistance and third was the slime language bloodline skill.

Cade thought that he wanted to delete the physical resistance skill and learn the bloodline one. Since he can easily get the bloodline skill, it was better to learn that.

Not only that, he had more objectives now in the dungeon and that was to get whatever he can get from the slime. He will get all of them and that include the undetermined uses of the essence, key and core.

With a new and bigger objective, it was time to start hunting for more slime. Cade opened his map and searched for a slime.

He found one and went straight to the slime. While he got closer to the slime, he heard the slime talking but he cannot understand it.

"I thought I learned the slime language but why can't I understand this slime?" thought Cade and he realized that his mastery was zero percent and that meant he needed to increase his mastery first before he can converse casually with the slime.

"That mean, slime crystal," said Cade as he now needed to collect the slime crystal too to increase his skill mastery. Luckily, the slime dungeon was near his apartment and it won't be hard for him to come and go to collect the slime crystal.

Cade killed the slime easily and instead of getting the physical resistance bloodline skill puzzle pieces, he got himself the slime crystal as the drop.

Cade immediately used the crystal on his slime language skill and the mastery increased by 1 percent. Cade stared at it and he changed his plan.

"It is better to collect the puzzle pieces first as I need to get them once and then, I am done with them. I need to collect lots of slime crystal to increase the bloodline skill and that can wait later," said Cade.

And then, Cade continued hunting the slime, if he found iron ore lying around, he will collect them and he also found out that after his mastery of slime language increased to 1, he can understand some letters of the words the slime was saying.

He was elated that the skill worked but he still did not want to increase the mastery with the crystal at the moment because he wanted to collect the puzzle pieces first.

After about 15 minutes of hunting the slime, Cade completed the physical resistance bloodline skill. Cade learned the skill and to his surprise, the bloodline skill combined with the normal skill he had learned before.

Due to that combination, the skill retained the previous level of the normal skill and the only thing that changed were the skill name with slime bloodline in front of the skill name and the used of slime crystal needed to increase the mastery.

During the hunt, he had heard the slime talking and the more Cade heard the slime talking, the more his mastery of the slime language increase. He was happy that it increased. He knew he can increase the skill mastery naturally by using it over and over but using the crystal was actually easier.

Nonetheless, Cade can understand more and more of what the slime was saying and he can guess what the slime were talking all this time.
