Suddenly he could feel a horrible power arrive on the floor. The power felt like it could crush him with its very presence. He felt his body in pain from the presence of that person and felt that if his body was as weak as at the beginning of the year he would have begun bleeding just by being in the same area as that presence.
Alex looked at the marble walls and could see a hint of a reflection of the direction hidden from him. There were two people dressed in red robes and black hoods covered their heads. Alex realized that this was the Scarlet Tide outfit caught on cameras.
His heart was beating hard. Was Scarlet Tide planning an attack on the school so blatantly? The person from this organization was so powerful?
He immediately took our his smartphone from his pocket to call for help, but noticed that there was no network connectivity. Scarlet Tide had blocked the mobile network.
Then he heard a chilling whisper, which he attributed to that horrifying power. "Initiate, have you prepared the sacrifices?" The voice was a little like a snake's hiss and a man's low voice.
"Yes, my lord. These students are defenseless chicks." Another voice said. The voice was young and familiar to Alex. His eyes bulged.
"Luke?" Alex thought with shock in his head. "He is a member of scarlet tide!"
The terrifying individual whom Luke addressed as Lord, whispered again. "Capture them all first. Slaughter those who resist."
Alex saw through the reflection in the marble the arrival of five more people in red robs and black hoods, following the Lord and Luke towards the cla.s.ses. The six subordinates, including Luke, then entered the cla.s.ses each. Immediately shrieks amd curses echoed.
Alex felt powerless. He had to somehow ask for help. Alex saw the group disappear into the cla.s.ses, and made his way to the fire exit extremely quietly. Then he rushed to the lower floors, but saw that the cla.s.ses were all being handled by a member of scarlet tide.
Then Alex felt a powerful energy radiate through the school. A terrifying whisper spoke to each and every fearful person in the school. "Today the Scarlet Tide has made a move... those of you who are willing to submit will be let go, but those who revolt... slaughter is the only path that awaits you."
Alex ignored these redundant threats. He somehow sneaked into the holographic lab to try to use the ground network to connect and ask for help, but found that all contact with the outside world seemed to have been cut off.
Finally he thought of a desperate idea and sneaked into the art room. When he entered the art room he began searching the storage for paint and then discovered a girl from cla.s.s was actually hiding here. She was scared silly amd about to scream, but Alex quickly held her mouth, whispering her to shut up.
After calming her down, he ignored her and found the paint he was looking for. Then he made his way to the rooftop through the fire exit. There he found a member of scarlet tide on a lookout.
Alex knew this was a now or never moment and that if he didn't ask for help today, many of his cla.s.smates including himself would lose their lives. His inner fear constantly told him not to do something stupid, but he gulped.
There were moments when a person couldn't hide and this was one of them. Alex sneakily arrived behind the scarlet tide member and attacked him on the back of the head. Without giving him a chance, Alex smashed his head and punched his face forcing the scarlet tide member unconscious without a sound.
Alex's heart was throbbing like it was going to explode. This was the first time he had ever attacked someone. Alex took in deep breaths and then removed the hood to find the member was actually a girl from his school. This was the girl called Min who was hanging out with Lily.
His heart chilled, but he couldn't allow for the possibility for her to wake up and inform others, he removed the robe and tied up the girl as well as blocked her mouth.
Alex then took the paint and went to the wall on the rooftop facing the closest building to the campus on the backside. There he painted in large font with glowing red paint, 'HELP SCARLET TIDE ATTACK'.
Then he took out a heavy storage device he grabbed from the computer room and wrapped it with a paper with a distress call written on it. He then threw the object with all his might towards the window of the office building on the opposite end.
The object crashed into the gla.s.s and shattered it. Alex thanked himself for working on his physical strength at this moment. Shocked, a few people looked out of shattered gla.s.s to see a young boy waving his hands. Then they saw him pointing towards a wall and what they saw shocked them.
"Its a distress call. Scarlet Tide! Call the police!" Someone yelled and another person immediately got to it.
Alex sighed. He had managed to get the message through to the outside world, but he wasn't sure if the help do much. That Lord seemed extremely powerful.
Alex was thinking what to do, when he saw the red and black robe. He suddenly had a daring idea. However, when he thought about the risks, he gulped.
At this moment he suddenly felt a power surge through the air and Alex saw an invisible barrier around the school shattered. A voice suddenly sounded out loudly.
"Scarlet Tide, you have become to brazen this time! Prepare to die!" The voice blasted through the school.
Inside, the scarlet tide members had already killed about a dozen students in the initial panic and were now organizing the hostages. At this moment they heard the powerful scream of anger.
The Lord's face slightly paled, but he still sneered as his whisper vibrated through the skill reaching the outsides.
"Is it Will Mason? How... surprising. How did the special department discover our movements?"
"b.a.s.t.a.r.d, Scarlet Tide, if any children are harmed today, prepare your neck." Will roared as a card flew out from his body and a powerful electrical surge like barrier formed around the school. "Don't dream of escaping now!"
The Lord saw the barrier and rage flared in his eyes. "If you don't want the chickens to die, don't make any stupid moves!" A whisper vibrated.
