He blinked his eyes then found out the next moment nothing placed on the wall. He was ashamed of being subjected to such vain paranoia. There were some other emotions that he had experienced before, now troubled his heart.
After that dancing party, there was a grand feast held for the guests, but Abium didn't fancy those foods. He was tired and exhausted due to the journey. Also sensed his mind was troubled a little and thought he needed some rest to calm down.
But Nicolaus, who stood by his side bragged about who were those guests. He informed him about their achievements in the wars. For a moment, Abium thought if Nicolaus would become a merchant, then he would have a great future ahead.
Except for Margrave Eliot and Baron Tibbott, Abium also recognized Viscount Raoul, Count Arthur, and Baron Wariner, and several other special guests arrived there. These folks were not some random peoples. He acknowledged it was hard to meet a single prominent person here in this remote town.
Seemingly, everyone who appeared on this Banquet was ruling the majority of the territories on the west.
He knew they were called some faction in the past. But after the death of Margrave, every member moved in separate ways, and some died in the Grand Banquet. Abium should be pleased about meeting all of those esteemed guests. But there was no comfort in his heart.
'Why there are so many of them rallied here?' The same thought often appeared in his mind several times. He felt suspicions about this Banquet in his heart.
With those confusions running inside his mind, Abium moved to the room where Nicolaus had allotted him for the night stay. Since many of the guests had arrived, he barely qualified to receive a place near the s.p.a.cious corner of that great hall.
"Bro, you seemed so exhausted! You can go and rest in that allotted room. I will come and pick you in the morning," replied Nicolaus, then fled from the place hurriedly. Abium moved to that room direction and finally entered inside that small room.
Drowsiness arose out of nowhere as he lazed on the bed. Very soon, he fell into a deep sleep. Still, he couldn't; even in the rest, he felt uncomfortable due to the thoughts of what he observed in that Banquet.
Once again, he overheard the sound of a wolf howling from somewhere. But he couldn't move his eyes or his body. Repeatedly he heard multiple wolves howling and that sound moving towards his direction. He suddenly discovered himself inside a dark jungle where those wolves were chasing after him, and their eyes glowed with gleaming fire.
He thought of escaping to the opposite side. But within a few moments, he found encircled by the packs of wolves. He quivered at the thought of being ripped by these countless wolves. Suddenly he saw a deserted church appeared on his sight. He quickly unlocked the door and went inside the church.
A priest appeared from behind the figure of a lone girl statue. He never saw any statue like this before and also didn't grasp who this girl might be. But it looked so real, and something made him felt crept out was that girl statue looked at him with a wicked smile on her face while holding a beheaded body on her hand.
Meanwhile, the priest came towards him closer step by step while clutching a knife in his palm and calling.
"Child! Come here!"
Suddenly, he discovered that the statue of that strange girl vanished, and instead, he found Mother G.o.ddess. He further saw two elven girls appeared out of nowhere and began dancing in front of Mother G.o.ddess statue and humming. While he was fascinated by this display, another humming voice resounded from behind. Abium abruptly tilted back and saw who was singing that song.
It was Hemarc. No, the one who vocalized that verse was the head of Hemarc. He stared at Hemarc's severed head placed on the plate near that statue. He was scared s.h.i.+tless at that moment. The next moment, Abium quickly attempted to run away.
The post near to him in the material world b.u.mped him hard. That dream dissolved, and he gradually opened his eyes. He witnessed a scene where his dream and reality intertwined.
He saw a face noticeably above the wall of that fortress opposite to the rear, where Abium was resting. It was the same Hemarc's head.
This time he was a.s.sured it was not a dream or a hallucination. Because no matter how long he stared at it, the head stayed there on that wall.
He shortly noticed the entire body of Hemarc on the other side. Hemarc was gripping the edge of that wall utilizing his both hands, and he was particularly observing inside the wall.
Abium noticed this and a.s.sumed Hemarc arrived here to see that girl. There could not have been any better purpose for him to come here of all places. He felt Hemarc appearing here must have to do with what he said earlier.
Abium jumped up from his couch and took his sword from the spatial ring, then held on his waist. Slowly, he stepped towards the place where Hemarc was hanging.
Abium place held on the edge of the great hall. From there, he advanced towards the wall and noticed the paintings on the ceilings. While he hurried past over the platforms and pillars, he heard some voices from nearby.
Immediately, Abium stopped his track and peered towards the area where those voices arose from while ducking near the post. In that narrow courtyard, twelve members a.s.sembled on the sides of the walls. Walls surroundings that area obstructed that moonlight, but lamps burned near that crowd illuminate a little.
All the guests arrived on that night banquet was gathering there. Abium a.s.sumed that they were meeting here indicates they were talking something important. He also figured Hemarc was attempting to listen to what they were discussing.

With the aid of his map function, he was capable of finding a safe place and finally listen to their talking. Undoubtedly, the area where Hemarc stood was right above where they were arguing.
His only doubt was how Hemarc was able to fool those high-level warrior's senses. He quickly glanced at the map and noticed the difference of spiritual power emitting from Hemarc and others.
Abium and others continued radiating a large amount of spiritual power from their bodies, but Hemarc's body only emitting much less amount of spiritual power everywhere. He knew nothing about spiritual power in the past. All he knew was it was a power that used to build spells in their minds.
Every warrior who was above tier four could feel those spiritual power barely. Only above the seventh tier could able to feel spiritual power freely.
Abium stayed away from the other warriors' senses and quietly comprehended what they were discussing. Because of his half-elf racial traits, he was able to hear and see more clearly than normal humans.
At that point, Abium noticed a red carriage remained following that area where the gathering held.
'Is this the same carriage that followed after Margrave?'
Abium was even more amazed by the appearance of that red carriage. He thought perhaps Hemarc was arrived here for that girl to appear here. Abium found more unbelievable because Hemarc boldly climbed on the wall solely to see her.
Abium shook his head and chose to focus on what people were talking about? Suddenly, he caught his name stated in that meeting. No, it was Thallan name.
"What about the boy that your son invited to the fortress earlier? Where is he? Our speech shouldn't fall into his ears. He is one of the elven kingdom's citizens. I even heard he is working under the explorer squad. No one should know about this until our plan is firmly set. Suppose, if he learned a little about this, he should not be set out from this fortress."
Even after he heard those ominous words, Abium didn't move from that place; instead, he made sure to listen to their full conversation.
At that point, Nicolaus's voice fell on to his ears.
"Don't bother about him. He is dozing peacefully in his room upstairs. That fool is a reckless brother of my friend but not a bright one. He won't do something like eavesdropping on others' conversation."
"I'm glad that you have so much confidence in him. But we don't know him before. That is why I warned here. What we are going to discuss is the topic of the supremacy of the kingdom. Even a single word slipped out of your mouth may lead to disasters. All of you must remember this!" Margrave Eliot expressed in a grave tone.
Abium startled by them when they discussed the royal family business. n.o.bles have only allowed speaking about matters like marriages, administrative issues inside the kingdom, but talking about supremacy and royal house indicates betrayal in any nation.
The thought that there was going to be some rare event happens in this very town came to his mind. It's crown prince losing his left hand in this very town. That caused shame to the royal family. Everyone began to mock the crown prince for losing his arm in his very own kingdom. n.o.body knows how he lost his right arm, but that leads him to lose his precious life in that great Banquet.
While he was in thought, Margrave resumed his talk.
"I have come here to convey urgent news to all of you. It is the reason I hold this gathering. King Sewallus's health condition has worsened even more. I privately requested the bishop who examined that curse and about the King's condition. He stated, 'that curse was put on the King by some strange magic, and he will not live long.' So now we have to consider what needs to happen!"
When Abium heard about the curse, he quickly remembered his body also affected by a curse. He also needs to think of a way to get rid of that curse.
"What did diviner say regarding his health?" asked a guy from that crowd.
"Why should we ask a diviner? Didn't you notice the changes occurring inside and outside of our kingdom?" argued another guy.
Margrave solemnly said, "I requested some of the diviners. They appear to find it hard to foretell the fates of our King, no! The fate of the kingdom. They also stated something about the future is swapping in a strange direction. Anyways, we need to think about who deserves the next right to rule this kingdom."
"What is there to think? King already announced Huggin as a crown prince without considering anyone," stated Raoul with an annoyed tone.
"It is right that the royal family didn't hear about our ideas. But it is wrong to say they didn't consider this with no one, lord Raoul. They heard the opinions of Princess Ankerita and d.u.c.h.ess Margery. Can you say no?" a guy answers that in a mocking tone, followed by a few people in the crowd began laughing.
"Wow! You're laughing! I don't know how you laugh at this situation. I feel burning inside my stomach whenever I think about it; My blood is seething with rage."
Margrave gritted his teeth and returned in an offended tone.
There was a moment of silence. Only the sound of the west wind whispering and the music of the trees buzzing outside the fort wall in the wind heard.
After a long silence, the guy who ridiculed the speech apologized along with others.
"We apologize for speaking like that, Lord Eliot. You're our leader. Everyone here is ready to carry out your every command. We walk the way you showed us. So, please forgive us!"
"I have also lost some patience. For that, you have to excuse me. Consider one thing. In my opinion, Crown prince Huggin is not qualified to govern this kingdom. I know all of you think the same, but if we didn't do something, then he will be soon crowned as next King in a few months. One-third of the n.o.ble house from the west is attending this meeting, and other factions led by Duke Pawelinus are also experiencing the same frustration when the Royal family chose this conclusion only by themselves. Only those two princesses, d.u.c.h.ess Margery and Royal family mages, are backing the crown prince. If the King died before the coronation ceremony, we might able to alter the fate of our kingdom's downfall."
Margrave concluded his speech and lazed gently on the chair; meanwhile, others started debating furiously.
"I also concur with your words, Lord Eliot. We n.o.bles partic.i.p.ated in the battle against Wadel kingdom several times in the last century. But what did those royal family members do? That crown prince was wasting his time on building some long lost ten layer magic tower near that magic inst.i.tute. Also, prince Tybost is competing against the crown prince and building a ma.s.sive fortification near the southern dungeon. He still believes that bulls.h.i.+t bed stories and demons. If both waste those tax money and savings of royal family on unnecessary things, then, our kingdom will soon crumble. I additionally got wind of news that magic tower is almost over, and Crown prince already invited King Sewallus to stay in that tower."
Count Arthur replied in a solemn tone. The whole crowd of guests nodded their heads. Margrave Eliot abruptly opened his closed eyes and asked.
"Has that magic tower already completed?"
"Yes, I know through my private spies that it's over. The King also received letters from his lovely elder son. Crown prince invited him to come to the newly built Magic tower and to stay there for some time." Baron Tibbott returned in worry.
"Is king going to stay in that magic tower?" A muscular guy asked in a concerned tone. At the same time, Margrave Eliot chuckled and answered.
Recognized, "You don't have to bother about that. I also have my brother, who is serving as a royal captain in the castle. I already notified him about our plan. No one can enter the palace without his permission. He will not let King move from the royal capital to a magic tower. No one can be able to meet the King, can't give any scrolls without him knowing. So far, I have stopped the scrolls that came in two or three times."
