Abium identified those phantom killers and acknowledged their strength might rival ordinary 5th tier warriors. Abruptly he felt a presence emerged behind Fennelis in the scan. He attempts to move but noticed a shadow flew near her and barred the attack from the enemy.

"Don't panic! I will handle them myself." A deep-voice rea.s.sured them from the back. Abium s.h.i.+fted his gaze and saw Rit'zyk barred the attack. Then he instantly arrived near them and examined the surrounding. He perceived the enemy number was enormous, and there remained no hope to escape.

"What are we gonna do? Kid!" Fennelis also rapidly transformed into her beast form and muttered. Everyone barred the attacks from the ravens above, while vigilantly prepared for any potential ambush from the phantom killers. Rit'zyk soon dashed to kill the opponent but was also quickly overwhelmed by the amount and finally asked for help.

"Lord Vregon! We need your a.s.sistance."

"I can see that for myself, Rit'zyk. You should handle these pesky skeletons by yourself. I can try to hold that dragon for a few minutes. If it continued longer, I wouldn't be able to prevent its rampage."

Another shadow emerged from behind them and talked in a chilling tone. Everyone felt s.h.i.+ver down to spines for a moment. Abium noticed the skeleton looked like a common skeleton soldier, but he sensed the variation in strength in a single glance.

This time Abium studied that figure without any obstacle and shocked. Strength and agility reached above 10! What caught his attention most was the cla.s.s called skeleton lord.

"Kid! Move ahead to complete the mission. We will rejoin you later." The skeleton lord turned his skull towards Abium and spoke. Abium hastily bowed and motioned others to accompany him.

On the other hand, Dark knight spurred to face those phantom killers. Abium glimpsed at other skeletons and sighed. He knew from now onwards they were on their own. Suddenly a sense of crisis arose in his mind and saw that bone dragon running towards their direction while opening its enormous mouth.

'No! It's a dragon's breath!' He speedily grabbed Umi and raced towards his left side. Fennelis and Nicolaus accompanied him behind. He saw that skeleton lord moved to confront that bone dragon but was blasted off by its tail.

Next moment a purplish flame came from its mouth and shot towards the area where most of the skeletons stood. Instantly almost fifty skeleton warriors were burned to crisps by the purplish fire. The skeletons brought that Light crystal box also burned. Only a few skeletons accompanied them were able to withstand that attack while other skeletons were eliminated one by one slowly.

"That way!"

Grurdin, who followed him behind swiftly ordered Abium and others to march in the north direction. But Abium halted his step and quickly sped towards near the box. He didn't want this crystal to be in the enemy's hand and brought out the light crystal. He also saw Skeleton Lord rose up and darted towards the bone dragon's head.

When he brought out the crystal, tremendous light energy released and instantly purified nearby three skeletons who came behind him. Their bones began to burn and slowly turned into ashes. All the corrupted and non-corrupted undead skeletons and ravens immediately panicked and moved away from Abium due to the instinct. Shortly he saw enemy skeletons seemed confused and appeared to go on a berserk state. While Azolla spoke in a shocked tone,

'Oh? Where did you get this crystal?! Hmm, That's it! Kid, quickly store this crystal inside your spatial ring.' Abium quickly thought what Skaktak said before and shook his head.

'Other skeleton Lord told me I wouldn't be able to store this crystal inside the spatial ring due to elemental conflict.'

'Well! That's not a problem. I will be capable of maintaining the stability of that elemental clash.'

He sighed in relief after hearing that and directly stored that inside his spatial ring. Like what Skaktak told him before, he sensed elemental clash occurring between s.p.a.ce elements and light elements within. But once some spirit energy entered from him into the spatial ring, everything started to stabilize. The Light crystal floated inside his Spatial ring without any problem.

'Abi! Move faster towards somewhere. The enemy won't be able to find your location from now on. They traced your location using this light energy.' Azolla expressed in a severe tone inside his mind.

'What do you mean? Are you saying Skaktok used us as a bait?' Abium narrowed his eyes because he didn't believe in that Skeleton lord from the start.

'No! I don't think so. Once that case opened, the magic rune circles which able to prevent the light energy might crack a little. So I a.s.sume the enemy used that small energy to track your location. Be a careful kid! I don't know who the enemy is, but they seemed to be way smarter when compared to normal skeleton lords.'

Abium startled a little thought what to do next and noticed Grurdin and others stood waited a few meters away. He quickly shook those any ideas and followed them while other undead skeletons hold the enemy. There was only Abium's group, and a few undead warriors followed Grurdin now moved toward the Deadland pillar region.

After they moved a few kilometers away from the battle area, suddenly, another roar shook them from behind. Abium didn't know what that thundering roar means, but he soon urged others to fasten the pace and dashed towards that sacred Tree.

He didn't want to stay in this undead plane for any longer because he felt something was not right. Although there were no attacks came after them, but Rit'zyk and others didn't follow after them during the last two days of their continuous journey.

A sense of restlessness appeared inside everyone's mind. Abium thought Rit'zyk and others might have perished in the battle against that bone dragon. He also knew that no one in the group had the strength to fight against high tier enemies. If they meet any new enemy, they were doomed.

Slowly sun began to descend, the yellow ball of fire changed to hues of orange, and then almost tangerine. It merged with the sky, like juice-mix dissolving in a gla.s.s of water. The mauve of the dusky sky intensified, and in just a while, the biggest star had set, giving way to a thousand others, while darkness crept everywhere.

There Abium saw a red moon slowly appeared above them. He saw the surrounding was bloodied and transformed by the light of the scarlet moon, which, hung like a sizeable ominous gem on the tower of h.e.l.l. It gave off a creepy feeling. When Abium saw a lake seemed to be far away, he s.h.i.+vered. He saw the lake water appeared deep scarlet red. Next instant, he noticed everything appeared frozen in time.

Soon he found himself fell into darkness and suddenly stood in front of a giant black tree. Immediately he puzzled due to the unexpected event and panicked a little. Countless monsters appeared near to that giant Tree. But, soon, he rea.s.sured when no monsters able to sense him. He s.h.i.+fted towards the giant Tree and amazed. It looks more like bones everywhere instead of branches and leaves. He instantly knew this was the sacred Tree of bones, and learned it already corrupted.

The trunk resembled a colossal giant t.i.tan. What made Abium widen his eyes was, as he saw a figure like his appearance encircled by countless numbers of Phantom killers, Undead wyverns, Skeletons, Banshee, specter, etc. The mere sight made him trembled a little. Every monster gave a creepy feeling due to their outer appearance.

All of them were corrupted entirely and became evil monsters. Only then, Abium noticed three fallen figures on the ground. Nicolaus's body was split into two while both Fennelis and Umi's head beheaded from their bodies. He also quickly saw a large hole on Umi's chest. He then observed two silhouettes fighting ahead of him, but he couldn't pinpoint who they were.

He saw only a blur image of both of them. One appeared black, while others seemed to be white. Abium imagined light, and darkness seems to be battling against each other. He slowly moved a bit closer and soon recognized a figure.

'G.o.ddess Nyara! Did she arrive here to save us? But who is she fighting against?' He puzzled at first and quickly s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the black figure and observed a lady with black hair and wore a black dress. Her eyes resembled to be crimson red and wielding a black sword.

What made his frightened a little was she smiling devilishly towards Nyara while holding a heart on the other hand and stabbed her black sword's towards Nyara's chest.

A tear rolled from G.o.ddess Nyara's eyes along with a hateful cry. Soon G.o.ddess figure vanished from there, leaving a white spark behind. Slowly that lady picked up that spark and swallowed it into her mouth along with the heart. Then she flung her sword towards Abium's head, who was struggling against the skeletons and destroyed his head like a watermelon.

Following the second, real Abium observed surroundings were shattered into millions of pieces like gla.s.s and replaced with another scene. At this point, Abium saw multiple royal guards, and many soldiers surrounded Helena, Baron Auginare, and Dwarf friend. He shortly saw many n.o.bles and other knights ridiculing at three of them.

A tiny figure appeared on Helena's hand that caught Abium's attention. Immediately Abium identified that figure was Helena's sister Camellia. Abium noticed they were battling outside the Auction house. This time he couldn't saw any sight of him appeared in the surroundings.

'That means I failed to save that sacred tree and died there!' A sense of guilt arose inside his mind; then soon, he noticed the surroundings started to broken once again. Soon he discovered himself back in that frozen time in the present and gradually rose to the normal state. A few drops of cold sweats emerged on his forehead.

'What happens, Kid?! Why is your heart pounding faster?' Azolla's anxious tone woke him up from the trance.

'Azolla!! I saw countless undead skeletons surrounded us near the Tree of bones!! And, they killed everyone. A lady stabbed the G.o.ddess N-Nyara's chest. It appears so real.' Abium uttered in his mind in a stuttering tone.

'Kid calm down! Explain to me in detail.'

He soon quieted down and gradually revealed everything to her in detail. What he witnessed made him understand he saw too weak even to save himself and his friends.

'Did you notice a lady with a black outfit wearing a black sword?' Azolla's asked tensely.

'Yes! She also killed me in the end.' Abium returned.

Then Abium didn't hear any response for a few seconds.

'Kid! What you saw maybe a glimpse of a possible future due to the time divinity inside your body. From what you had told me earlier, I think she may be from the evil faction. Although the evil faction G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses are only involved in major destruction, I didn't expect one of them to reside here. So, now, you have a single option. From what you had informed me earlier, I a.s.sumed G.o.ddess Nyara herself didn't seem to know about this. Otherwise, she won't send all of you to this plane. Find a way to leave this world. It's already too late to save this undead plane.' Azolla's harsh reply made him lost his final hope.

'Why? Is there no other way?'

'No, kid! Don't try to do anything reckless. From the way G.o.ddess, Nyara's avatar killed, the enemy may be a lesser or an intermediate level G.o.ddess. So protecting this world is out of the option now. Kill these skeletons and escape from here.'

Abium slowly nodded his head and found they were moving closer towards the vast mountain range, blocking them from examining the other side. He quietly pondered, and all of them climbed up on the mountain range. He understood the dangerous situation.

He first imagined saving the undead plane might be the purpose Nyara a.s.signed to them. He still believes that was the reason. But what he observed in the vision made him disturbed a little. He realized he was a mere insect, so in front of higher-level beings, he stood no match.

Abium didn't wish to do this, but he didn't have any other choice. Instantly the mithril sword materialized in his hand, and next moment, he aimed at Grurdin's neck.

"Sorry, Grurdin!"

Grurdin's head rolled down from the hill. Other skeletons startled by his sudden attack and decided to take their weapons but were already too late.

Abium quickly dashed in a flash and killed two other skeletons. Nicolaus and Fennelis didn't understand what was happening in front of them at first but soon followed Abium. Within a few minutes, only bones scattered everywhere.

"What the h.e.l.l was that? Is this your way of greeting your allies in the back?"

Nicolaus asked in an angry tone. Although he didn't like these skeletons, what Abium has done made him despise.

"Nicolaus! I didn't have any time to listen to your bickering. We have more trouble to handle ahead of us."

Once he announced that he s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the front and soon arrived at the top of the mountain. A large black bone tree emerged on his sight. He also observed few undead skeletons wandering below on every side.

Others accompanied him from behind and gawked at the Tree with wide eyes.
