February 24th, early morning. Amara town.

Abium woke up by the sudden knock outside his room and slowly walked towards the entrance to open the door with lazy expression.

As he arrived in front of the door, he opened it and noticed it was a girl with long green hair and had round purple eyes. Camilla stood there in her transformed human form and wore a dazzling pink dress that almost covered her toes.

"What happened?" Abium asked while yawning.

"Helena asked me-." Before she could finish her sentence, she froze with a confused expression on her face and soon shrunken into her original form then flew back to the right side room.

'Did she forgot once again? d.a.m.n, is this some kind of disease or racial trait?' Abium suddenly thought of Camilla's behavior and silently shook his head.

'I don't have time to research her history and racial abilities. Ha, I should inform others that I will be busy for the next few days and start constructing the fire spell model.' He thought to himself and walked towards downstairs from his room.

Within an hour, he freshened up and had breakfast. Following that, he went to Helena's room and informed her about his plan and soon returned to his room. He also told others not to disturb him for the next few days.

'I don't know how long it will take to construct this first tier spell model.' He thought.

As for the adventurers guild officers, he didn't think much about it. He knew they would have already heard the news about Baron Harry's schemes and will do something about that. Baron may try to create problems for Abium, but he wouldn't do that to the guild members.

Once Abium arranged everything, he sat on the floor near to his bed and took out the spellbook. It was filled with many mysterious spell models. Soon, he started searching and quickly found out the fireball spell.

But his face began to stiffen up as he saw the number of rune letters.

'd.a.m.n! 200 runic letters? For real?' He almost shouted in shock. Soon, he realized it was a first-tier spell and started to construct the fireball spell model with an understanding nod.

He started to inscribe those letters one by one inside his mind and felt like time seems to be moving like a tortoise. On the outside, the sun went down and night came. But Abium stayed there like a statue and continue to construct the fireball spell model. One day, two days, three days, four days, and on the fifth night, his finger began to show some movement.

The next second, a surge of fire elements started to gather inside his room from nearby surroundings. No! The whole town felt a warm feeling from the mansion, and everyone in the Amara town woke up due to the unnatural phenomenon. Everyone saw a bright light from the three-storied house illuminating the whole town!

Inside Abium's room, a dense amount of fire-elemental energy rushed towards his body and started to surround like bees. In a few seconds, all those fire-elemental energies merged into his body while leaving the town to darkness.

Inside Abium's mind, he saw a large fireball spell model floating towards the small Red orb and instantly merged. No, it replaced that Red orb spell!

Slowly he opened his eyes, and soon he frowned as he felt chilling wind touched his body.

'Why am I standing naked? Did my dress got burned due to the fire elemental energy?' He was startled suddenly and soon breathed out a sigh of relief as he noticed there was no one nearby.

Following that, he snapped his finger, and soon a small red flame appeared at the tip of his fingertip while illuminating his room and soon vanished with a poof.

'Oh? I didn't expect my control over the fire element would increase to this level! Now I can feel the deeper connection between fire and my soul.' He nodded with a bright smile and quickly took out a dress from his spatial ring. After he changed his clothing, he walked out of his room and informed everyone that everything was okay.

Soon, he returned back to his room after eating charcoal steak along with some red wine from the kitchen. Quickly he activated seer's Intuition spell while thinking about the danger in Moondale town. He would never forgive those Baron's family members for what they did to his people.

'Those guys were under my protection. I need to teach others what will happen if someone messes with my people.' He muttered to himself in a cold tone.

But to his surprise, there was no danger appeared this time, which left him baffled a bit.

'Does that mean the one who protected Baron Harry already left? Or the possibility of success increased once I constructed this fire spell?' A cold glint appeared on his eyes. 'But I can't make any rash decisions. I know that Novak's family is hiding something.' He once again cast that seer's intuition but let with only puzzlement.

He quickly shook his head and felt his eyes were burning due to lack of sleep. Abium immediately casts those thoughts away and laid on the bed.

March 1st, Sunday morning.

Abium sat on the wooden chair in the discussion room with a serious expression on his face while hearing the reports from Kuran.

"Lad, Official guild members already arrived in our town a few days before without facing any problem. But if other peoples want to come to our territory, then we must solve the problem with Baron Harry as soon as possible." Kuran spoke with a serious tone while others seated at the sides of the rectangular wooden table also nodded their heads.

"Also, they gave this letter to us." Kuran quickly took out a letter with a royal seal on the outside cover and gave it to Abium. Abium promptly reached his hand out and took that letter then started to unseal it.

It was an official invitation letter to all the n.o.bles by Prince Huggin! Prince Huggin requested every n.o.ble to attend the upcoming grand n.o.ble gathering on March 28th!

Abium's expression stiffed up when reading the contents.

'As expected, that elven guy has the power even to manipulate the crown prince. Hmm, there is no mentioning of the coronation ceremony at all. Ha! I can't sit back and watch someone manipulating the whole incident.' His expression grew solemn and didn't even listen to Kuran's next words.

Soon, he calmed down while nodding and s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards Helena, who sat on his left side and started to speak while taking out a silver ring from his pocket. At the same time, Kuran also noticed his odd behavior and stopped his talking.

"Helena, take this ring. It's a low tier artifact I created a few days ago. With this ring, you would be able to cast 'mirage' spell."

"Why are you giving me this now?" Helena asked with a confused expression, while others also s.h.i.+fted their gaze towards him.

"I'm planning to secretly return to the Capital ahead of time before the grand n.o.ble gathering starts. This letter is an invitation from the crown prince to the upcoming grand n.o.ble gathering on March 28th. So, you will be the one who would go officially to the Capital in my stead. Can you go?" Abium started to explain and asked Helena with seriousness.

"I can do that. But will there be any danger during the trip?" She asked with a frown.

"No. This time only you, Uncle Claude and Orson, will be the ones who are going to the Capital." He said and soon s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards others and continued. "Your job is to protect this town from any pirate s.h.i.+ps. I think there will be some pirates planning to attack."

"I agree." Viper nodded his head and soon asked, "What about that, Baron Harry?"

"I will take care of him when I'm going to the capital." Abium's reply made everyone breathed out sighed of relief.

"Also, if someone named Nicolaus, Fennelis, or Umi came here, tell them I'm in the Capital. Also, tell them I will be hiding my ident.i.ty, so inform them to search for me in the slums." Abium's words confused them, but everyone nodded. Soon, the discussion came to an end, and everyone dispersed from there, leaving Abium alone in the room.

Without wasting any time, Abium directly went to his room and started creating spell scrolls for Helena.

'I don't think anyone will come after my head during Helena's trip to Capital. Even if they come, with the spell scrolls I'm about to create, her strength will increase twofold.' He muttered to himself and thought of the enemies he had to take care of.' I must kill Viscount Gauvain, Count Tibal, and the necromancers during the grand n.o.ble gathering. Except for this Baron Harry, all of them will be a great threat to this kingdom's future. About that secretive elven guy, I'm no match for him, and he didn't do anything bad to me.'

For the next four days, Abium started to create magic spell scrolls continuously. On March 5th, Thursday morning, Abium managed to create 20 zero tier spell scrolls. In those, five scrolls were fire orb spell scrolls, 5 were blink spell scrolls, 5 were dark bind, and another 5 were fire s.h.i.+eld spell scrolls. He also added that random teleportation spell scroll he took it in Dusk gate town and placed everything inside the spatial ring he took it from a roaming mage in Tibal's territory.

'If I had some extra time, I could have created a few low tier spatial ring for others.' He sighed inwardly and soon s.h.i.+fted his gaze towards the east where the sun was starting appear.

'Hmm, its time for me to go.' Abium quickly checked everything and walked out of his room. Soon, he found Helena, who was helping Alfred in kitchen work and gave her those scrolls along with that spatial ring. Following that, he informed everyone and moved out of the Amara town stealthily around the afternoon.

By the time he reached the abandoned tunnel, it was almost dusk. He quickly entered the tunnel and silently started walking without minding the darkness inside.

He could hear soldiers chattering voices from the other side and crept near towards the check post. Unlike a few days ago, Abium now saw a wooden house a few meters opposite the tunnel.

'Heh, they are thinking of creating a permanent check post here.' Abium was surprised by that Baron's bold move.

'He must have thought this will be a good idea to earn money in the future. There are many resources in my territory, and the only way to export them is through this tunnel and sea routes. The problem is our kingdom forbids the export of minerals to other kingdoms without proper approval from the royal family.'

'But if I export with the permission of the royal family, then I would only get 50 percent share from the profit while the remaining 50 will go to the royal treasury. And exporting materials through this tunnel, I also have to pay a large amount of tax to this Baron Harry. Quite a nasty plan indeed.' He praised the person who told this idea to Baron Harry.

'Also, there will be many adventurers who will come to my land in the future to explore the deep forest in the Alastall woodlands. We just cleared the outer areas and the main dense areas are located in the south and north side.' Abium sighed heavily while thinking those and moved near to the check post while listening to those soldiers chattering.

"Rody, Did you hear anything about Page and Glover?" A muscular 30-year-old soldier asked while lighting the cigar using a nearby magic lamp.

"Nah, I heard they escaped with money they got from the Baron of Alastall. Why did you suddenly curious about them, Mason?" Another short warrior asked while taking out his cigar.

"Do you really believe that story? You know they are not that type of person, right? I heard from Hanna that Lord Randolph arrested them and threw them into the dungeon." That muscular warrior Mason said with a frown.

"Who told this news to your wife?" Suddenly, Rody's expression grew serious and asked in suppressing tone. When he noticed Rody's intention, Mason also lowered his voice and replied.

"She heard that from one of her friends who is working in Lord's mansion."

"Ugh, when you return home tomorrow, tell Hanna not to divulge this matter to anyone. Warn her to not make contact with that maid for the next few days." Rody's tone turned more and more serious as he spoke.

"O-Okay, I will warn her." Mason was quite baffled by Rody's serious tone and nodded.

Suddenly Manon frowned while he was looking towards the entrance of the newly built wooden house.

"What happened?" Rody also turned his head and asked in puzzlement.

"Thank Mother; it was just some shadow. I almost thought there was some ghost stood there before." Manson said with a startled tone while Rody started to laugh.

Meanwhile, a few meters away from them, Abium stood there with a cold expression on his face, and soon his figure blended into the darkness. He had already used Blink spell two times and arrived near to that wooden house without alerting anyone.

Following that, his figure dashed towards the west where Moondale town was located.

Within an hour, Abium arrived in front of that eastern gate and looked up at the stone wall. He saw many soldiers stood up on the wall while lighting up the torches.

Suddenly, s.p.a.ce around Abium began to distort, and the next instant, he disappeared from there.

A few minutes later, in the Commoners' Borough, a hooded figure covered with a red-colored mask entered the cabbage Inn and booked a room. It was none other than Abium. He knew a simple clue of him being here could cause danger to his territory and thought of completely hiding his ident.i.ty from now on.

'Moreover, I mustn't provoke academic mages. I think except teacher Zivior, most of them would still be suspicious of me. Well, they wouldn't involve themselves if I harm this rural Baron, but I have to avoid taking any risks.' He sighed under his red mask and walked to his room, which was on the second floor.
