I got up. I opened the front door. I went out and found myself where I had never been before. The strangest thing was that I didn't care what was going on, I didn't care what or who I left behind. Although it was not entirely true, as there was actually someone I cared about. Taken from the heat I forgot. I'll go back, I said to myself nodding.
"Wow ..."
After pa.s.sing the door, I found myself looking at the sky, which was red. Green clouds were over my head several hundred meters high. Where was I at? I did not care. By now I was there and therefore I thought it was useless to ask. Huge concrete buildings around me polluted that spectacular sky. Something was wrong.
"Excuse me."
I tried to stop one of the many pa.s.sersby. But n.o.body seemed to see me. Busy in their affairs, they walked in single file, with gray and pale faces.
"Mrs?"
Nothing. n.o.body deigned to look at me. I started walking down the street. After a few minutes I found myself in what looked like an apartment. It looked like a cozy place. And that was enough to make me calm. In a hurry, however, I went out the door and as if a strong anguish compressed my chest I started to run. I wanted to go far from there. I wanted to go beyond my means. I wanted to fly. I jumped. What a moment before was asphalt turned into an overhang.
"Aaaaaaah!"
I didn't want to fall. I was afraid. Because I had been foolish enough to think that jumping would take me to a higher place instead of dragging myself to the bottom. By now in free fall for a few seconds I closed my eyes.
"It's already finished."
A minute. Two minutes. The fall didn't stop. In an astonished way I thought. Hey, but I wasn't that low then.
"If only I had another chance-"
The fall stopped suddenly. Focusing my gaze I realized that in the middle of the desert on which I had gently landed there were two strange objects. One of them was an elevator. The other a staircase.
"Hey an elevator! So lucky!"
Once in front of the elevator, however, I stopped. Do I have to press the b.u.t.ton? Why am I so afraid? Why doesn't the lift bring me relief? I have to do it with my own strength. So full of energy from head to toe I went up the stairs. Once I climbed the first step I noticed that the elevator was moving. It was moving downward.
"Finally here is the top."
Several hours later I managed to return to the place from which I had fallen. In a tired way I saw a happy girl who was about to make the same mistake.
"STOP!"

I shouted with all the breath I had in my body. She didn't hear me. Then terrified of the fate that would be expected to the girl I threw myself and I tried to stop her.
"ARGH!"
I had grabbed her and with difficulty I managed to pull her up.
"But what…"
She said with a frightened look.
"Everything good?"
I said with still tired.
"Yes"
He nodded. What happened next I don't remember very well. I only remember one strange bluish photo, the girl and a red truck. Tired I closed my eyes.
"Please wake up."
A female voice whispered in my ear to wake up. But I was too tired, so I ended up falling asleep. I remember that day well. That day when I left the only thing that mattered to me. You.
-Italian version-
Mi alzai. Aprii la porta di casa. Uscii e mi ritrovai dove mai prima mi ero trovato. Preso dalla foga però me ne dimenticai. Tornerò indietro, dissi a me stesso annuendo.
"Wow…"
Ormai c'ero e perciò ritenni inutile chiedermelo. Attorno a me enormi edifici di cemento inquinavano quello spettacolare cielo.
E ques...o...b..stava a rendermi calmo.
una volta difronte all'ascensore però mi fermai.
Te.
