As soon as I got back, I called for Rose, the candle spirit, so I can undo my wish. She appeared right in front of me, and asked what I wanted. She started laughing, when I told her I wanted to undo a wish I made. She said, with a smile on her face,"I can't undo wishes. Only you can fix them." I asked her how, but she disappeared after saying three words, change of heart. I didn't understand what she meant. I'm pretty sure she became cuckoo during the time she was gone. Either that, or I just really suck at understanding things. I was about to call Carter and ask him what he thought it meant, but I'd forgotten about him not knowing me. I decided to go to my "old" school and jog his memory. I'm pretty sure it works that way. When I got there, Mr. Smith was waiting outside the school building. He walked up to me, and said,"Welcome, you must be the new history teacher. If you follow me, I'll lead you to the cla.s.s you'll be teaching." I followed him into the school, and when we got to the cla.s.s, he went to his office. I rushed to the chemistry room, and saw Carter inside. I wished I never looked though, cause inside Carter and Avery were holding hands. The bell rang, so I waited for him to come out. I ran up to him and gave him a hug, as soon as I saw him. He pushed me off of him, and asked who I was. I told him that my name was Taylor Marie, and I was his best friend. He told me his best friend was Avery Smith, the princ.i.p.al's niece, and he knew no one by the name of Taylor Marie. I could only say that I mistook him, and that I was leaving. I walked out of the school crying and confused. I'd lost everything I'd ever cherished in my old life, my annoying parents, my siblings, who are living with their girlfriends and boyfriend, my best friend, and the age I used to be. I went to my house and cried for at least 20 minutes. The only thought in my head was, can I fix this?
