Continuous School 174 Gossip Talks

[Sat.u.r.day, Night]

"So… what's the gossip!" Claire said as she jumped onto her bed that all the other girls also sat on.

"Gossip?" Ruby said. "What gossip?"

"Oh?" Claire said digging deeper. "No gossip? Will we have to search for it?"

On a warm Sat.u.r.day night, the 5 girls gathered around Claire's house from an impromptu sleepover. Claire suddenly threw it on them as well as asked permission from all of the parents. Luckily, she was able to get it. Charley, Lily, Kaylee and Ruby sat in Claire's rather pink room. They didn't know what to expect, they could see her messy desk that was covered in paper and makeup and were surprised at how girly it was.

"There is no gossip," Charley said. "Not with me at least!"

Charley stared down Lily, who looked away as the demon had a firm grasp on her soul.

"See!" Claire said as she rolled around on her bed, wrapping herself in the blanket "This is the gossip. Let's all talk about boys!"

Despite trying to put it off, it was going to happen eventually. When Claire suggested the idea of a sleepover, they could all tell that it would end up like this. Ruby and Lily weren't against it but Kaylee was, the recent event with her and Claire at the test of courage made her even more suspicious.

"Who wants to go first?" Claire said.

"I shall!" Charley nominated herself as she stood up in her cute dark demon onesie with glowing red horns. Charley gave off the impression that she was about to produce the best speech ever heard. She stood up with such confidence that the others could only be inspired by her bravery. Whatever words she was about to say, would create the path for those to come.

"I… have no one…" She said as she sat back down and began to fake cry.

"Aww… You will always be cute to me Charley!" Claire said jumping onto and attacking Charley.

"Alright, who is next?" Kaylee said knowing it would eventually come round to her.

"U-um," Lily said standing up. "I'll go next."

Everyone listened in closely to the only person in the room that was in an official relations.h.i.+p. They wanted advice straight from the source and hoped that Lily would be able to deliver.

"I-I think… That Sean is a great guy… We may not be like other people that do all those things… But just hanging out with him is more than enough for me. I'm happy with him."

Although there was little they could take from it. Their hearts were warmed from Lily's words. Even if it wasn't what the others wanted, it was a good first step that they should take.

"Alright, I'll go…" Ruby said standing up as if she had psyched herself up for it.

"Owen is a d.i.c.k." She said without hesitation. "All we do is insult each other. He insults my hair and my violin playing or singing…" Ruby continued for some time, insulting Owen in various ways. "However… he cares a lot about those around him. He may come off as arrogant but he worries a lot about things and deals with it all himself. He's someone I can rely on…"

"Like when you kissed him!" Claire said revealing the not so private information to the cla.s.s.

"YOU WHAT!" the others said as Ruby hid under Claire's bed.

"Did he return your feelings?" Kaylee asked.

"What happened?" Charley joined in.

"N-no…" Ruby said slowly emerging like a snail coming out of its sh.e.l.l. "He… He said he doesn't know… so I told him I'd make him fall for me."

"EEEEEP!" Claire screamed, fangirling about the situation"HOW ROMANTIC!"

"It's not… it's embarra.s.sing." Ruby said having fully retreated back.

"So that's why you've been more outgoing…" Kaylee said adding fuel to Ruby's pain.

"Oh yeah!" Ruby screamed as she hit her head on the top of the bed, forgetting she was under there. "What about you and Ethan! Owen and I spent 2 years trying to get you two together! And what happened?"

"2 years?" Kaylee said just finding out everything. "You guys tried for that long?"

"YEAH! NOW TELL US HOW YOU FEEL!" Ruby said as he hair caught fire with pa.s.sion and rage for romance.

"I-I don't know…" Kaylee said using the escape answer to cheat her way out of it. "He said he moved on from me."

"Yeah… But is that what you want? Did you want him to move on? You say you were leading him on but were you really?" Claire said as the others watched the drama develop bringing out their popcorn.

"I-I don't know… I'm not sure what I want. Anyway, what about you and Simon. You told me the other day that you liked him!"

"That I do!" Claire said like a captain that just returned from a triumphant mission. "I own that!"

"WHAT!?" Ruby added as she was also only just finding this out.

"Y-yeah…" Claire said losing her image of the captain. "I've been like that for a while,"

"But didn't you say something about him not talking to you? What happened?"

"Oh… it's a long story," Claire said.

Despite Charley and Lily coming along, the conversation bounced around between Ruby and Claire who had the most determination for the matter. It was like a bonding experience seeing as how they all didn't have the same target. They spent the night talking whilst the others slept peacefully around them. By the time they were finished, the others had woken up, even without sleep they continued on for hours. The ones they spoke about thought that they had colds or that they were haunted because of how much they were sneezing.
