Miss Sales Manager 17 The Business Trip

The movie was over, Tina and Fred bid farewell and went their own ways. They both were asked to come to office the next day. Jason announced the new divisions created and informed everyone that Tina Will be heading Marketing division and Fred will be heading the sales division.

Everyone congratulated Fred, some people were not happy that Tina got promoted. They thought that Tina didn't have much experience, how could she head a division. Some jealous guys even started a rumour that Tina was giving some benefits to Jason.

This was of course not known to Tina or Fred, even Jason didn't know about these rumours yet. Jason then called both of them to his office and said, 'both of you, prepare to go for a business trip. I need you both to visit Hyderabad and meet our new dealers to promote our products in South India, you need to also visit Bangalore and meet a dealer there.. ensure that both of you drive the business together, for any support, reach out to me..Fred, the entire sales team will report to you.. Tina as of now you will be heading the marketing division, but there will not be anyone reporting to you.. you will be coordinating with the marketing team in Switzerland and taking care of activities in India. '

Both Tina and Fred took leave and went out for lunch, they had to leave for Hyderabad in a couple of days, from there they need to head to Bangalore. They have never been to South India, Tina was excited, so was Fred. She felt happy that she would be going with Fred.

Fred said, 'Tina, I have some relatives in Kerala, once we complete our work, we can take a break on Sat.u.r.day and head to their place, we can visit Kerala, it's a beautiful place.. ' Tina said, 'ok, we can plan that, I didn't go on a vacation for a long time.. '

Fred was happy that Tina accepted his proposal, she had a call post lunch with Swiss team. They headed to office post lunch. Tina went to her cubicle and started the Skype call. She connected with the marketing head in Switzerland and spoke about the scope of market in India and which product has high demand.

Both of them together decided to launch some promotional campaigns for slow moving products in India to increase its sales. It was a good session, the marketing head in Switzerland was very much impressed by Tina's intellect. She took note of all the inputs given by Tina.

The Switzerland marketing head -Jessica called Jason and gave good feedback about Tina. He was happy with his choice, he knew that this lady has good potential. Soon his personal secretary came in, she said, 'Mr Jason, some people didn't like that you appointed Tina as Marketing head, ' he asked, 'what are they saying? ' she replied, 'they started rumours that both of you are having an affair, so you are promoting her, ' he looked at her and said, 'okay, just find out who started these rumours.. I want to get to the bottom of it... '

Fred arranged a meeting for all the sales guys and asked them to present their numbers. He took a review and asked them to follow up on all the orders and close the same on priority.. It was his first meeting as boss, he handled the team well.. he was neither bossy nor friendly with them.. he maintained a tone that falls in midrange of being bossy and friendly and closed the meeting.

Some of the sales guys tried to flatter Fred, he didn't pay any attention to them and moved out of the meeting. He came out and walked towards Tina's cubicle, she was talking with Jason. He was sitting on the desk and Tina was sitting in her chair, they were seriously talking about some official stuff. Fred didn't like the way Jason sat casually near Tina, but he didn't say anything and walked away.. Tina didn't notice Fred..

Jason finished talking to her and went to meet Fred, he asked Fred to come to his office. He asked how the review went and took an update on numbers of the team. He called Tina inside and said, 'both of you will be traveling tomorrow evening to Hyderabad, ask the travel desk to book your tickets and stay.. reach out to me in case you need any support.. ' both of them nodded and walked out of Jason's office...
