The Elf was a half-ling like me. But he had lived a happier life. He was born in the woods outside London, the old world and move to the new world with many of our kind when the great migration happen. The local shaman here were not happy as they had an agreement with the G.o.ds separating the lands at the beginning of time. But the G.o.ds had died.

The old world fought with the new visitors. In the end many died and a treaty was signed. The Elf was fortunate to have lived while many did not.

"h.e.l.lo, I'm Grey, the new boss." I said reintroducing myself, "Visit my cafe any time for anything you desire."

I knew him personally. The Elf in my memory was broken. Just like all of us in the war. He was a kind soul that always gave a helping hand. And a very good trap maker.

Looking at him it reminded me that the older one was, the more lost they experience.
