The Witch's Rebirth 44 Why Are You Not?

Knight really didn't look happy but he endured her octopus hands well. If it was me she would have been on the floor. The information was not that important.

"He's dead. but she's not is she?" asked Cat,

"Why do you think that? Her contract burns down. I hardly think it's possible for her to be alive."

"Is it?" she said with a Chester cat smile,"I've ways."

That was the wrong thing to say. A man would tolerate only so much insult. Cat was really stupid if you ask me or was this all an act. Then I'd have to move up my plan. Carefully, I place another small spell. This would take weeks but that isn't a long time.

"Thank you," he said his eyes narrowed a bit further before adding, "It was useful. This is a fair deal, you won't regret it."

The long draw in his tone sends s.h.i.+vers down my spine. It was really s.e.xy when a male knows how to put a full stop into illusions. It was a witch thing. We like dominate males.

I was enjoying my meal and watching the entertainment. The b.i.t.c.h was really fumbling. It was a sight I really enjoy. Before she could try anything more he then proceeds to grab me and drag me outside. I didn't panic as my tattoos weren't doing anything so he meant no harm but my heart beat erratically and my treacherous feet fallowed his lead.

"Most women want me," he hissed pulling me along the drive.

"I am not surprised," I answer giving him a toothy grin; he really had been trying to test me. The question was why he is acting like this. It is not him.

"Why are you not?" he asked barely a whisper but it echoed in my mind.

It would seem my acting cool played off for a moment I could see the emotion in his eyes.

The truth was I really was affected by him even if he didn't know it and I wasn't going to let him know either. It really wasn't wise to let the predator get the upper hand.

Knight stared at me frustrated for a lingering moment. Then he tilted back his head and laugh. I liked his laugh it was deep and rich. I felt like I was under a spell and one moment later I was in front of Drink. The best part was he used magic to transport us here without a trace of it in the air, a pa.s.sive spell with defensive cause. Then I realized that I still was holding his hand and he had just piggy bank us to my home without me knowing it. It would seem Alpha Knight was even more dangerous than I thought.
