Most Powerful Sect System 19 Suspicion And Expansion

My first time sleeping in this world was surprisingly easy, I don't have any of the worries in my past life. I don't need to worry about being hounded by loan sharks.

I fell asleep happily last night in the Dragons Lair of the Lazy Lizard where the old man was. I still have never learned his name.

My plans as soon as I woke up was to start my adventure in this world; my new Sect was ready to begin operation with a few disciples. However, I still need to be strong to attract disciples.

I could possibly abuse my position in the martial hall to attract some eyes, but even then people will be suspicious if they don't see my power.

I am currently going downstairs to talk with the old man, I was hoping I could ask for his name, but more importantly, I wanted to ask about some cultivation things I have been wondering about.

I still have my status points that I‌ needed to spend; I have to do everything one step at a time before I get overwhelmed.

My goal is to have at least one disciple within the week. Hopefully by the time I go back to the Martial Hall in two days.

Before I was even in sight going down the stairs, the old man somehow knew I was coming and said in a slightly raised voice "You have a nice sleep in the Lair, young Keleman?"

As I walked down more I could see his old wrinkled face, although he looked weak I knew he would most likely be able to kill me instantly if he wished. Not that I am saying he will… I hope.

"Hey old man, you never told me your name yesterday. When I went to the Martial Hall they treated me as if I were a VIP guest. Would you mind giving me your name?" I inquired.

As I said that he used his hand and scruffed his pure white, thin beard and said "Getting to the point so soon young one? Why don't you take a seat and have something to drink. If you can drink this well; I might answer your question."

He sounded almost as if he was in a playful mood.

When I opened my mouth he was already heading towards the door, a bit to the right of him, and went out to what I a.s.sumed, was the break room or staffing room.

In the lobby of the building, it was only a bench with a small table in front of it. The table had a single candle on the side and it was burning endlessly.

While wondering how a candle could burn forever and produce no wax, he came back with two cups of something. The aroma that drifted from the two caused me to feel a bit excited.

Walking into a coffee shop at 6 AM ready to head to work; you sit down and the small coffee cup is brought to you, but in comparison, the aroma that drifts off of it swings your mood using its enticing scent.

Akin to a coffee shop, the scent coming from the cups the old man was holding was very relaxing but also, made me excited for what was to come.

Sitting down on the bench he set a cup down on the side-table and beckoned me to come and sit with him.

I guess it's all apart of morning breakfast, nothing out of the ordinary.

I sat down leaving a small gap in-between us and picked up the 'coffee' before I took a sip he asked me "An old fart like me doesn't have much to do these days. All of my children and grandchildren care for everything now. When you start to near the end of your days you realize that the young you raised is the driving force that will push the world into a new era; for good or bad."

Letting out a sigh in the middle and taking a sip after he finished he continued "I'm not going to lie to you young man, when you walked into my store I could feel the special quality of your mana. There was still a slight trace of that energy in your bones that radiated off of you, even if it was only a small amount."

His face took on a more serious look, and he turned to look straight at me "A small amount of the energy you had could cause a large commotion, who really are you young Keleman?"

In the middle of his speech, my face instantly became flushed the moment he said the 'special energy'.

I didn't have time to bicker with the system if this old man could sense the system or even the 'Powerful Ent.i.ty' that created it, I was in huge trouble!

I felt my heart start beating faster as I said "Old man… before I answer your question. What kind of energy are you talking about?"

I was worried he might slash at me or use his powers to slam me into meat paste, but he seemed kind. I hoped I could get a bit more information before I try to answer. If I make the wrong move it would mean destruction.

"That power of yours, although it is there no more, was a spark of divinity. I know it wasn't your making, but you came in contact with someone of unimaginable power. If you were a threat to this city I would have already dealt with you, but I can see that you bear no threat. It may be none of my business anymore but; I just want to confirm it for myself." he said while going back to sip his drink.

I can get out of this, or… Do I tell him the truth?

If I revealed the system that would be an extremely idiotic thing to do. I'll try to tell as much as the truth as I can, however, I will stretch it a bit

"Old man, I think I have come in contact with someone. I am actually from a very far place from here. That ent.i.ty teleported me over to this town and gave me one objective." I said while gripping the cup a bit harder.

"The objective he gave me was to create the most powerful sect that would allow any type of person to join, even if their talent was no good. I don't know why the ent.i.ty gave me this mission but I'm afraid if I don't try to accomplish it then I will be destroyed." I said with a defeated expression.

After thinking for a while and nonchalantly sipping his drink, I also took a drink.

When the liquid reached my lips I could feel a buzz as I felt my mind expand.

All of it happened within a second, but, I could feel my mind expanding beyond its limits.

After a few moments of shock and reeling from the feeling of having my mind somehow stretched the old man piped up "This drink is from my own concoction of Radiantstring Beans. The beans that make it up are very hostile to unholy and evil energy. They only grow while in the presence of a large source of mana and earth made from a high tier Earth Martial Skill."

The old man looked at me with a smile and said "You would have turned to dust the second it touched your lips if you were a weak, new evil being. I won't pry into your life anymore. As long as you won't hurt this small city, your welcome to stay in it."

I was extremely confused at the sudden turn of events, and it took a while of sitting beside the old man to understand what happened.

My mind seemed to benefit from the 'coffee'. It didn't expand my thinking capacity, it just felt as if my head felt…

Expansive. I don't know the word to describe it but it felt as if all of my thoughts were bundled up in a small s.p.a.ce. Now they had more breathing room and I felt much more relaxed.

Wisdom? In games, the Wisdom stat is usually the regeneration rate of mana or something. I'm guessing the Intelligence stat must do something similar albeit different.

While lost in my 'Bigger' thoughts, the old man simply sat and drank the coffee as if nothing was happening.

After a while, he got up and said "Those beans also have the side effect of helping mages raise their mana capacity. These are quite rare so I hope you enjoyed them. This old man will take his leave."

After he got up, he left through the front door.
