Just a difference of +1 Vitality made a difference in how much sleep I needed, I'm guessing once I go further along and get 10 or greater Vitality I should be able to go without sleep for more than a week!
I opened up the bronze-b.u.t.ton and started thinking of what to put my stats into:
►[Level 0.7]
►[Strength 3] +
►[Dexterity 4] +
►[Vitality 3] +
►[Intelligence 6] +
►[Wisdom 6] +
►[39 MPS Points]
►[3 Status Points]
[Features Locked] Now that I could see my stats, I really was growing fast. Being able to see it also made me understand that the change to my body was so gradual while I was cultivating, that I actually didn't notice my change in stats. At least, not unless I enter the bonus status points that I got from breaking into a new level. I still think putting the extra points into Dexterity is a good idea, this will also help with any professions I learn in the future. Even though this will result in my Dexterity being higher than my main stats. I entered in the Status Points into Dexterity and I immediately felt my entire body lighten. Not in the sense of having less weight, but just in the sense that everything just seemed faster. Hehe, I'm going to keep upgrading my 'monitor' until I get a solid 1000Hz refresh rate! It's in the middle of the night and I planned at this time to go outside and spiff the sect up a bit more. I have thought about it while cultivating but, it's really quite empty. There are only a few scattered buildings and just a bunch of gra.s.s. I was prepared to spend almost all of the points that I had gotten this time. I wanted to save a few because I had a project I wanted to start doing tonight. "System, I'm going to be going on a shopping spree, could you give your handsome host a discount?" I asked suggestively. [Host, please buy up all the items you can, in fact, The system will give you a 10% on orders of over 20 MPS Points in total until you get to Tier 1!] [This is a limited time offer so please spend a lot of points!] It always somehow makes its voice sound like an advertis.e.m.e.nt even though it's only a robotic voice. At least I managed to get 10%, If I didn't ask I'm sure that it wouldn't have said anything. It treats the MPS Points so dearly as if it were its own child. I stepped outside, and it appeared their lights were off. They were all asleep. I wonder who got the houses in the end? I wanted to go and watch them earlier, but I haven't cultivated at all lately. I wouldn't want to fall behind them. I put all of the orders in my 'cart' before I was ready to checkout, in the end, I bought a large number of things. Things like; stone paths, a large community center, a pier to place over the lake with some fish in the pond. I also placed a few lamp posts that ran on magic. In order for it to run I also had to buy a magic-line that drew mana from the atmosphere. I saw it in the sect control panel but, I found out that the mana in the atmosphere can be increased by creating inscriptions to gather mana towards a certain place.
With the manline will be able to connect with other manlines while also drawing in mana from the atmosphere to power anything that is connected to it. To put it a bit plainly; there were faint lines of mana running through the air all over the place. This wasn't ideal because one could intercept these lines and take the 'message' in the mana and read it. As long as you were strong enough. In reality, the 'message' was a feeling conveyed through the mana. Depending on how strong your mind was you could send a stronger message that could contain a lot of details. However, the mana that was being sent to the small lamps were only lines of energy, the mana didn't hold any type of special property. The lamps lit up the paths exquisitely, they dyed the surroundings in a faint yellow light. It gave the night around the sect a much more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Looking around at my purchases I found I only had 20 MPS Points left, I spent a total of 21 Points on the order so I could get a discount of 10%. So I got two points back from the transaction. Looking around the sect, it seemed much more homely and welcoming now. The next thing I should do is upgrade the walls, this is still, one of my biggest priorities. I should also look at the defensive structures while I'm at it: [Sec Control Building Menu] [Main Hall (T1 Upgrade) - 7 MPS Points] [Treasure Storage (T1 Upgrade) - 5 MPS Points] [Treasure Exchange Pavilion (T1 Upgrade) - 5 MPS Points] [Professions Hall (T1 Upgrade) - 6 MPS Points] [Mana Line (T1 Upgrade) - 5 MPS Points] [Outer Disciple Dueling Arena (T1 Upgrade
Maximum: Four on Four) - 6 MPS Points] [Outer Ring Fencing (T0) - 3 MPS Points] While looking at the Sect Control Building menu I spotted the other new building I unlocked. I wasn't going to purchase this now, but the system said it would label the soul marks in their manheart in a ranking system. If they had an 'Outer Disciple' Mark, they wouldn't be able to pa.s.s the Outer Ring. Only with an 'Inner Disciple' Mark could they go through. This would mean I would need to have three different structures for all rings of the sect, pertaining to the Outer, Inner and Core. It would just cost too much to do this, for now, I would just wait and do this until I get a core disciple. For now, I'm planning for when someone gets to the 8th Tier to make them a core disciple. This is much in the future still, but it is still good to think about plans. I opened up the Defensive Structures tab next; [Build Menu: Defensive Structures] [Sect Wall (T1 Upgrade) - 8 MPS Points] [Alert System (T0) - 3 MPS Points] [Golden Dragon Defensive Formation (T1) - 10 MPS Points] Hoho, there's some really interesting stuff here… The Golden Dragon Defensive Formation seems to be derived from the Cultivation Manual I chose, what does it do system? [Defensive Formations are apart of the Formation Laying Profession. In this world it is a very rare profession and was last seen as a public profession 53,000 Years ago.] [Once activated, the formation will produce an effect around the targeted area that will have a certain effect upon individuals inside of it.] [In this case, once you activate the Defensive Formation a life-like Golden Dragon will be produced flying above the sect. It is only Tier 1, so it will be quite small, but it will be able to instantly kill any Tier 1 cultivator, as well as; ward off a medium-sized group of them.] [As for Tier 2, the dragon will be able to have a chance of lightly injuring them at most.] [It is powered by its own internal formation that gathers mana, similar to an internal working manline.] A Golden Dragon holding back our enemies… How majestic! Hehe, how scared they would be if a Dragon were to suddenly come and s.n.a.t.c.h them up! System how are they able to break it if they are Tier 2? [The Formation will exist within the Main Hall and cover the entirety of the sect. They would have to go into the main hall and destroy the Formation Diagram.] [In addition, the Formation can only be used once a day. It still requires some time to gather mana. And it may not be used indefinitely. Only lasting around two hours. This is still quite good for a Tier 1 Formation.] You're making my shopping quite difficult system… I have a pretty good idea of what the alarm system should do, and while I would buy it. I just don't have enough points. When I have enough points I will consider it, but I need to upgrade the wall and buy this formation. I was going to save up and buy a few more manuals, but that can wait. System, I want to purchase the Defensive Formation and the Upgraded Wall! [Purchases Confirmed.] I was sitting on the steps of the Main Hall when I saw the walls all around gently shake and vibrate as they turned a deeper color of grey. The barriers on the outside of it were shaking and breaking. It didn't cause an earthquake similar to last time thankfully. I still want my sweet disciples to enjoy their sleep! It eventually stopped shattering and reforming and the barriers seemed more mysterious and dense. The light was enough to give the ground the walls were placed inside to light up. Causing it to seem as if we were in a fairy-land! Now my sect is even more protected, but more than that; it is even more peaceful and beautiful.
I started barking orders towards the system, and I swear, I could feel it smiling through the words it sent.
