"Um... this is a dodecahedron not an orb."

"I'm not too surprised, this...o...b..seems to change shape every so often to keep me from finding out its weak points and escaping."

Van scratched his head and shrugged his shoulders in acceptance.

"So do you have any Martial Skills or cultivation techniques for me?"

Van started to punch empty air for emphasis.

"Do I look like a benevolent person to you?"

Yu Lin spread his arms and looked at Van apprehensively.

"Yes?"

Van replied hopefully.

Yu Lin facepalmed and let out a long sigh.

"This is going to be a long day. You are lucky that you seem promising and I have chosen you so that you might help me escape and get revenge on those that have wronged me."

Yu Lin gave a proud look.

"First, you will allow my Divine sense to inspect your body."

Van shrugged his shoulders. Why not? He had nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Yu Lin nodded in approval, a decisive a.s.sistant would be needed.

He searched through Van's body to find an extremely solidified foundation.

"This is the most solid foundation I have ever seen! You could jump all the way to the 10th Stage of Dantian Formation and still be solid!"

Van looked at him surprised.

"I've been trying my best to break through to the next stages and I thought it was just my cultivation was slow! I have Grade 1 Meridians."

At these words, Yu Lin searched through Van's body again. He had a pleasantly surprised look.

"What is it?!!"

Van looked at Yu Lin, his face beaming with excitement and antic.i.p.ation.

"You have a Treasure Body! It means that you will need to consume treasures to level up. I'm surprised you made it to the 2nd Stage of Body Fortification!"

"Isn't that a bad thing?"

Van asked quizzically.

"Although it will take a lot of resources, your body will be a lot stronger than any others at your cultivation. You will be able to jump many stages than other geniuses!"

Yu Lin looked ecstatic as he described the benefits of Van's body to Van.

"I have such an amazing body! See that Sanji?! There's something I can beat you at! Sanji?"

"I forgot to tell you. Your soul is in here. Your beast friend can't see me right now because we are inside of the orb."

"Oh... That was awkward."

Van scratched his head, embarra.s.sed.

"Hmm?!"

Yu Lin looked back inside of Van's body. He found the strange crown floating inside Van's incomplete Dantian.

"What is that?!"

Yu Lin reached out his divine sense but was suppressed and pushed away by the ancient dominating aura.

"What kind of bloodline do you have?!! I've never seen it before!"

"What are you talking about?"

Van looked at Yu Lin, confused.

"You have an ancient bloodline! How do you not know? There is a floating crown in your Dantian! Oh, wait. You can't access that yet."

Yu Lin started to ponder about how he would get this human to realize this bloodline that scared even him, an all powerful High Diety.

"Listen, now that you look promising, I will give you some options."

Van had a big smile on his face as if he had found a treasure.

Yu Lin placed down a black jade slip and stepped back to watch Van's reaction. Van hesitatingly reached for the slip and started to inspect it.

There was a mysterious character engraved upon it.

"There are 4 Martial Techniques in there. They are all very high ranked, none that you have access to right now."

"How do I activate it?!!"

Van eagerly looked for a b.u.t.ton of some kind.

"You can only do it by injecting your Qi into it. So you have to wait until you reach the Dantian Formation Stage."

Van looked down sulkily and sat down on the ground.

"Luckily, I have a way to speed things up. With your foundation so solid, I can give you a treasure that can instantly bring your cultivation all the way to the Peak of the Dantian formation! This will mean that you have to re-solidify your foundation. It also requires you to make a soul contract with me, agreeing that you will try your best to set me free from this...o...b.."

Yu Lin held out an ordinarily looking piece of parchment.

Van looked at the parchment hesitatingly, before grabbing it and inserting his will into it. The parchment glowed with a silver light before quickly condensing it into a unique crown symbol at the bottom of the page.

"Now that this is all settled. Time for your rise to glory!"

Yu Lin pulled out a magnificent green pill with golden dragons that seemed to come alive on it.

"What is that?!"

"This is my clan's 'Green Foundation Pill'. It is normally used on infants in my clan at birth. They aren't worth too much, especially with the high level of cultivation that I have."

Yu Lin was trying to regain his pride after many years of imprisonment.

Van sighed as he watched the proud dragon in human form release all his antic.i.p.ation on him.

"Well? Get on with it."

Yu Lin impatiently stared at Van as he slowly plopped the pill into his mouth.
