'Bah! I'm not in the mood to go to cla.s.s. Fufu~ I know~'
As we were on our way to the cla.s.sroom, I staggered and pretended to faint. I expected to fall on the floor but was surprised to feel someone's arms around me.
'Oh c.r.a.p, I hope it's not one of the idiots!'
I gently fluttered my eyes open and saw a das.h.i.+ng young man. I was unconsciously drawn to his stunning blue eyes, well-chiselled face and hair like gold.
"Brother!"
When I heard Louis' voice, I immediately understood who this handsome person is.
Lance Hamilton, the eldest son of the Hamilton family. He is currently studying in Celestial Kingdom as a senior high school student. The engagement between the Burnsworth family and Hamilton family were supposed to be between the eldest son and eldest daughter of each family. Unfortunately, Sis Eli insisted on rejecting the engagement because Lance was three years younger than her. Thus, the second children of each family were thrown into hot pot to seal the engagement.
Giving up on the FAINT-THEN-GO-HOME PLAN, I moved to stand up but before I could, I felt my body being lifted up into the air.
"Don't exert yourself. I'll bring you to the infirmary." Lance spoke with a gentle and rea.s.suring smile which quickly turned into a stern expression as he looked at Louis. He turned to the teacher. "Please do excuse Miss Burnsworth for today."
While carrying me effortlessly on his arms, Lance took off and headed towards the infirmary.
'I remember Sis Eli had a name for this. It was princess carry right?'
"I prefer to walk." I blurted out.
Lance chuckled and kept on walking. "I've heard of what happened so I bet you're physically and mentally tired. Besides, one of the culprits is my brother so doing this is to be expected."
"My b.u.t.t feels breezy. I bet my panty is on plain view right now." I said nonchalantly.
He froze. It took almost 30 seconds for his brain to recover from the unforeseen statement. I expected that he would put me down.
"WAH!" I cried out in surprise as he suddenly adjusted his other hand so that my skirt will cover my underwear. Then he continued on walking.
"You're touching my b.u.t.t." I glared at him.
"It feels nice." He countered. "Enough with the complains, we're almost at the infirmary."
With wide eyes and gaped mouth, I was speechless at how shameless this person could be.
When we arrived at the infirmary, Lance laid me down on one of the beds and asked some cooling pads from the school nurse. Looks like I've forgotten that my palms are red and slightly stinging.
The contrasting coolness from the cooling pad and warmness of Lance's hands made me uncomfortable and I reflexively hissed. "Tss… Be gentle! My hands are pretty sensitive."
"Then you should've asked for somebody else to slap those people."
For some reason, I could feel annoyance emanating from Lance which baffled me. According to Sis Eli, Lance acted like a guardian to Maria and Louis when the three of us together. Maria and Lance didn't have much interaction thus they weren't so close, were they?
'Well, not that it matters to me.'
I took my phone and sent a message to Sis Eli. After I put my cell phone back to my pocket, Lance spoke in a solemn voice.
"On behalf of my brother, I would like to apologize on what happened today."
"That apology is useless unless I hear it from himself with enough sincerity." I retorted.
Lance wore a bitter smile then stood up and bowed. "I'm sorry, I wasn't able to guide my brother well."
I frowned. "Enough with the apologies. Every person has their own mind and can make their own choice. No matter how much you guide them, in the end it's still them who will dictate their lives."
He straightened his back and gave me a dazzling smile. It's a good thing I've seen a lot of handsome men in my previous life so I'm pretty immune to this.
"Maria, you've changed." Lance's voice sounded like a lonely child.
'Argh… Stop that look.'
"WOAH!" Lance exclaimed when I pinched his b.u.t.t.
"Feels nice." I grinned. "Payback!"
The two of us laughed. After sharing a small talk, Lance bid his goodbye because he also needs to tend to his idiotic brother.
After almost an hour, someone I never antic.i.p.ated came.
"Hannibal Raven!" I gasped.
He didn't mind my shocked face and went on with his business. In a short moment, I was now lifted in his arms.
"My panty! Please!"
