'Ugh… I need an overall wardrobe makeover.'

I grimaced as I looked at all the cute and relatively frilly dresses; there weren't any pants, shorts or t-s.h.i.+rts just one-piece dresses. I chose to wear a simple long sleeve black dress embroidered with a red rose and put on a black choker as an accessory.

"You look elegant Miss Maria," Vivian commented as she helped me wear a pair of black doll shoes.

Vivian is actually my personal maid and she was the one who was at my side when I woke up. From my perception, she's a hardworking and kind type of person.

'Yep! I like Vivian! She's easy to deceive. Hehe~'

In small steps, I made my way to the front of a full body mirror and once again laid my eyes on the oriental beauty that I now possess; black hair, rosy white skin, delicate eyebrows, black phoenix eyes, small but well-shaped nose, and a pet.i.te figure. This is a lot different on my previous body.

If my current looks could be described as gentle and delicate then my previous looks were voluptuous and wild. My previous body was tall and had curves that could make any man drool at me added with my miss universe face, n.o.body could believe that I am actually the worst terrorist in the world.

'Sis Eli (my way of calling my so-called sister) described my beauty as a Lolita type. That's supposed to be good right? Well~ Let's test my beauty and try to seduce some boys later. Fufufu~ '

Satisfied with my appearance, I turned to Vivian and spoke, "Well then, let us head to the dining room. I don't want to keep the whole family waiting."

With the company of Vivian, I went to the dining room. Vivian then retreated to the side once we arrived at the destination. My eyes then floated to the two people who were seated opposite to Elizabeth as I strode to the seat beside her.

The man seated at the left side of the rectangular dining table had a domineering aura. His light blue suit enunciated his attractive blonde hair and brown eyes. This man is the patriarch of the Burnsworth family and the father of both Elizabeth and Lily, Glace Burnsworth. He is considered as one of the best businessman in the world making the Burnsworth Empire sit on the high echelon of the business world.

As for the woman beside him, her ice-cold disposition contrasted her fiery red hair and her contempt towards me was evident in her emerald eyes. This woman is the mother of Elizabeth, Emilda Burnsworth.

I gave them a confident smile as I took a seat beside Elizabeth. Glace's face remained emotionless while Emilda's eyebrow lightly rose. Emilda's evident reaction was to be expected because in her presence, Maria always kept her head down and cower in fear. Since in the past, Emilda didn't hide her disdain to Maria's existence as an illegitimate child.

'Hmph! I don't care if you have affections towards me or not, as long as you do your jobs as parents in supporting me financially and provide me with company shares.'

Elizabeth secretly tugged my dress and sent me glances trying to stop me from provoking the G.o.ds of the house which made me roll my eyes in response. The dinner went on in silence and after I ate the dessert, I rose from my seat with the intention to leave.

"Lily, I would like to have a word with you. Wait for me in the study." Emilda's cold and indifferent voice made me stop in my tracks.

I smiled and turned my attention to her, "Understood, MOMMY."

"Urk!" Elizabeth choked on the tea she was drinking.

Emilda's brows creased while Glace's emotionless brown eyes narrowed as he glanced towards my direction. Well, their exaggerated reactions were justifiable because from what I heard from Elizabeth, the previous Maria didn't have the guts to call Emilda as mommy, Emilda would be addressed as madame since she is well aware that she is an illegitimate child.

I was an orphan in my previous life and grew up in the slums. So I have no idea how to behave as a child nor do I care on how to behave like one. Blame their fate that my soul now resides on the body of their child. They want me to respect them as my parents? Then they should respect me as a member of the family.

'Fufufu~ Let's test how much teasing this mommy of mine can handle.'

I was humming and skipping when I left the dining room as I let Vivian guide me to the study. I couldn't help but laugh as I looked at Vivian's face full of panic.

"Chill out Vivian. Even though she's not my biological mother, in accordance to the law, she is registered as my mother and I, a daughter of the Burnsworth family. She won't kill me for calling her mommy." I tried to coax this fainthearted maid of mine.

When I arrived at the study, nostalgia hit me as I gazed at the mult.i.tude of bookshelves, victorian style furniture and the large window which showcased the expansive and well-landscaped garden of the Burnsworth mansion. Rather than study, I would call this a library. In my previous life, my mansion in uptown London actually had a similar library like this.

After almost half an hour of waiting, the lady boss, I mean mommy, finally came. I didn't mind the wait though, I was having fun reading some of the books because even though the names of the countries were different, the languages were basically the same with those in my previous world. The book in my hand was written in a language called Snarche from the country of Snarch.e.l.le; if compared to my previous world, it was a Russian language. As for the language that I currently use, it's Lische which is basically English.

When I saw Emilda get inside the room, I rose from my seat and ran towards her. "Mommy! You're finally here!" I said gleefully as I cling on one of her shoulder.

Emilda gave me an incredulous look.

'Ufufu~ This is still the tip of the iceberg mommy. I'll make you and daddy acknowledge me so I can fully utilize this powerful family.'
