Nickel was also looking forward to the summer outing that their company organized. He doesn't usually partic.i.p.ates in company gatherings because he prefers to alone but todays event is one of his most antic.i.p.ated day in his lifetime.

Why? It is because for the first time he will be able to come with Zoey. During their stay in Montana branch, Zoey never joined in any company event that is why he also decline all the invitations he received whenever he found out that the girl he wants to be with will not be going.

Nickel was also slept late due to his excitement but still manage to wake up on time compared to Zoey. He starts fixing himself and prepares his things before going out of his room. He wants to offer Zoey a ride but after ringing her door bell several times without anyone answering it. He thought that she already went out.

He reached the ASC building but after roaming his eyes he doesn't see her around. He stays in his car until he is sure that Zoey will join the outing.

4:50 am.

Nickel saw May going out of the bus and looked from left to right as if she was looking for something or someone. With her phone attached to her ear.

Unaware of what is happening inside the hired bus, Nickel contacted one of his most trust staff, Reese. Reese was seriously playing his spot when suddenly a call interrupted his game. "The f.u.c.k! Who the f.u.c.king h.e.l.l is this??" he angrily said because he lost that game due to that call.

"h.e.l.lo!" he answered with his slightly high tone.

"Reese." The caller just mentioned his name but it already sent cold chills inside his body that made him paralyzed for a second.

"Director. Good morning. I am sorry for using a high tone for you. It is my mistake, Director." He apologetic replied. He didn't expect that his director would call this hour. He looked around inside the hired bus but not a single strand of his hair can be seen.

"It's okay. How is everything there?"

"Everything is alright, Sir. We are just waiting for Ma'am Zoey to arrive. Although I heard that she cannot be reached by anyone who are trying to call or message her."

Nickel knew that this might happen. He really should bang her door to make sure she is still at home and didn't encounter any accident on the road. "I should offered her a ride before the night ends last night."

Nickel's plan of sitting next to her during their trip going to the resort was all put in vain. Now, he needs to know where is she now.

5:00 am

Nickel saw May entered the bus before calling her phone and tell her that he needs to attend one emergency meeting before driving going to their destination. "Are you all complete there?"

"No, Sir. We cannot reach Zoey."

"Okay, I will try to call her and hop her in before going there. Okay, have a safe ride."

Nickel waited the bus to left the premises before going back into Serenity Condominium but before he starts his car he first message Zoey.

To: Amour

Message: I've heard that you missed the ride going to our outing? I currently in a meeting and will follow after this. Do you want to come with me? Reply if it is a yes.

Message: I forgot to say good morning. Good morning Alcantara.

He reached their building after his one and a half trip excluding of traffic. By the time he arrived it is already 6:35 am.

He first checks his phone to see if Zoey replied to him. And there it is, his happy pill messages.

From: Amour

Message: *cry emoji* I overslept!!!! Can I hop in with you? Message with if you finished your meeting. I'll wait for you at ASC.

Nickel was afraid that they would miss each other's direction. And to avoid that, he dialed her number. After a few rings Zoey picked up her phone and asked where he is now.

"I am on my way." She calmly said.

"Where exactly you are? He sound agitated because he doesn't want to come to ASC again just to pick her up.

"I'm just leaving my unit now. And now I'm inside the elevator, expect a choppy connection." There is a short connection interruption while Zoey was inside the elevator. "I told you, right."

"Okay. Meet me at our building's lobby. I'm almost there."

Zoey lost he words she was about to say. Isn't it too much for him to pick her up here? "You don't have too. I can take a cab to reach ASC." She replied.

"No need. My meeting is somewhere near our building. Stay there and don't move a muscle." After that Nickel hang up the phone and waited inside his car for ten minutes because messaging her that he is already within the vicinity.

Zoey stood up and starts looking for his car. His usually using their company car but now Nickel used his brand new Mercedes Benz from last month. Zoey doesn't know that Nickel bought himself a new car so she was too oblivious of what car is she looking for. Not until a maroon Mercedes Benz honk behind her.
