Zoey's first day of work can be cla.s.sified as a slight, not a good day. Imagine that on your first day of work, folders over folders of reports and financial statements should be done by the end of the week or next week.

As the head of Accounting Department, her task is to check and supervise her staff to all the reports they prepare.

Not in a sense that she didn't trust their paper works but reconciliation is a big matter in terms of accounting. It will determine the money that they use versus the money they receive.

When 5 pm strikes, Zoey fixed her things and left the building.

The two went inside the house and saw that her mom is watching a television show, she remembered that this is the popular show of a cheating wife and cheating husband. Immoral!

Zoey couldn't get it why television networks produce these kinds of shows wherein it portrays the immorality and adulteries of a human relations.h.i.+p. Kids nowadays are very much familiar with the terms "mistress", "concubine", "adultery" and more. "You're watching that again?" She asked her mom.

Her mom didn't hear her, as she was so into it. She even expresses her emotions from time to time whenever the cheating wife appears.

Being ignored by her own mom, Zoey went to her dad's study room to tell him about her plans of moving. 

She knocks on the door and called her father before entering the room.

Mr. Alcantara 'MMM' to her, then that's the time Zoey opened the door.

Zoey shows her loving tenderness to her dad before announcing her weekend plan. When Mr. Alcantara sensed that his daughter has a hidden agenda for ma.s.saging him, he holds her hand and said, "I know you want to say something, say it before you dislocate my shoulder."

Busted from her move, Zoey sat to her dad's table and shoot her plan.

"Dad, can you help me this weekend; I need to move and stay in the condo unit my company provide for me? Well, it is somehow urgent I guess? Besides staying there will save me from traveling back and forth. I cannot even have an eight-hour sleep because I need to wake up and travel, thus I won't be late for the office. Like I need to be a model to my staff to not be a tardy employee, right dad?"

Mr. Alcantara was listening to what his daughter had said while signing some doc.u.ments before he looked into her eyes and asked, "Did you inform your mother about this?"

It should always be a conjugal approval of her mother and father before a decision is to be finalized. Just like when you ask your mother's permission about something, she will tell you "ask your father first", and when you ask your father about it, he will ask you, "did you ask your mother before me?"

Like why do parents need to bounce back an approval before giving it.

Zoey knew that her dad would say it, so she rebuts, "dad, mom is watching that television show, and as so you know no one can disturb her until it ends, I ask you first because I know she will ask me to go to you and have your permission before she says yes to me."

Old habits die hard.

"In that case is it really necessary for you to stay there?" Mr. Alcantara worries his daughters safety, knowing that she will once again live on her own in a city where danger is always besides you.

"Yes, it is embarra.s.sing to turn down the company's inclusion, I considered it as my reward for my service." She pauses for a while then shrugged her shoulder as if she is showing that your daughter is excelling great, dad.

"Well, we will see the unit on weekend, so dad, can you please drive me over and bring some of my stuff there?"

After being separated for eight years, Mr. Alcantara sadden to realize that his daughter will be part from them again.

Seeing her dad's grieving facial reaction, she smiled then hugged him from his side. "Dad, I'm not going to die, I'll go home every weekend don't worry!"

Convinced by his daughter's words, Mr. Alcantara then approve her plan this weekend. "Just mention it to your mom, don't make it sound like you gonna be gone forever, okay?"

"Aye, aye, captain!" She saluted her dad then leave the study room.

After watching television, Mrs. Alcantara is now talking with Manang, they were discussing today's scenes and on how they were irritated to the character of that cheating wife.

Zoey approached the two women and informed them about her decision of occupying the condo unit that her company gave to her.

"You gonna leave your Manang again?" Manang is about to cry after she heard the news of her moving out once again.

"Hahahahaha! I will just stay there for the weekdays then go back here in holidays. You will still gonna see me, though." Touched by everyone's reaction Zoey feels so much love around the people she cared for.
