Zoey checked her messages and then opened the one that he sent

Instantly after typing the pa.s.scode that he gave Zoey successfully opened the door. She comes into his house and checked his surrounding. It seems like Nickel wasn't himself for the few days because his house is so dirty. It wasn't the usual clean sanctuary he always mentioned to her.

His s.h.i.+rts were all scattered on the couch. The sink is full of dirty dishes. The kitchen counter was full of vegetable skin and other trash. All in all, everything is a mess. Zoey looked at him while he was trying to sit on his bed.

"What happen to you?" "How did you know that I am here?" the two talk at the same time.

"You go first." Zoey gives way to him as she walks closer to his bed. She pulled one chair and place it beside his bed.

Nickel was adjusting his eyes from a sudden movement that cause him to feel dizzy, looked at her and said, "how did you know that I am here?"

"Leo messaged me before going home. He asked me to check on you. Am I not allowed here?" She softly asked him because she thought that she was already being an intruder to someone's territory.

"No! That's not what I meant. I just didn't expect you to visit me after what I did to you." At last, Nickel already addresses his concern since Friday night.

"No worries, I actually would like to thank you for doing that at least Michael stopped contacting me for four days now." Zoey lied to him just to lessen the guilt he is experiencing. The truth is the opposite of every she had said except for no worries. Of course, she was not mad at him for kissing her that night. Would you believe her that she actually liked it?

"Is that so? Okay." Nickel felt disappointed with what she said because how come a prim and proper ladylike her doesn't mind being kissed by a man? Was his first kiss went to vain and wasn't valued?

After a short silence, Zoey repeated his question, "what happens to you?" although it was already obvious what had happened she still tried to make a conversation between them. Zoey doesn't like to be awkward in front of him, so she tried to act normal and discreet to the words she will use.

"It's just normal flu. Nothing serious." He replied.

"How long have you been sick, by the way?"

"Sunday night? I actually can't remember."

"What? Sunday night? It' already Thursday night. Why did you go to a hospital?" Her concern was so salient and can be noticed with the facial reaction she is showing. At this point Nickel couldn't comprehend Zoey's mind and thought.

"It is just a simple fever. Nothing to worry about. Promise."

The two talked for a while because Zoey asked him if he already ate a meal or take his medicine.

"No, I haven't. I was just sleeping all day. It's all fine, Leo cooked arrozcaldo and there are still some in the kitchen."

"Do you want me to heat it for you?" Zoey asked him and then went to the kitchen and check the arrozcaldo he is talking about.

She opened the cover of the pot but the arrozcaldo that he's been talking about was nowhere to be found. "Nickel are you sure?"

Uncertain of what she meant, Nickel tried his best to stand up and walk towards her way. Slowly before she reached the kitchen corner, he lost balance and stumbled on his own feet.

With her sharp reflex, Zoey caught him before he hit any vital areas of his head. "What are you doing??" Zoey yelled at him because of his recklessness.

"Jesus, don't shout near me." Nickel who is still calmed despite his condition and what he did, covered his ears and trying to regain himself.

Zoey, on the other hand, helped him stand up again and lead him to the couch in his living room. "Stay here, I'll cook food for you."

The woman invades his kitchen and starts slicing the available meat in his fridge. Zoey planned to prepare braised pork for him.

"Lay down there and take a rest. This will take longer to prepare." Although Zoey didn't see him trying to sit down and stand up, she senses that the sick man in the couch is trying to move places again.

Nickel took his phone from his pocket and send his friend a message.

Message: You, f.u.c.ker! Why did you message her!

He was not mad at him for he did actually, but at least it would be nice if he will give him first a fair warning, right?

After a few minutes, that friend replied to him.

Reply: Thank you would be nice to start a conversation Fuentes. As if I didn't know that was your wish from the start. I send Zoey so there will be someone to take care of you. You're not my wife nor my child for me to take care of you.

Nickel could help himself but to smile at his friends reply. This guy really knows him well.

Reply: Anyway, you right. So, thanks! BUT WHERE IS MY PORRIDGE?? WHY DID YOU TAKE IT??

He thought that it was part of his friend's plan. In order for Zoey to stay longer in his house, Leo took the rest of the food he prepared and let the girl cook for him. At least there would be a reason for her to stay.

Reply: Why would I take your food? Dude! You ate all of it! YOU ATE EVERYTHING UNTIL IT'S LAST DROP AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. Don't blame if you have a huge appet.i.te that allowed you can to eat the whole servings of porridge.
