Kaiser threw a flash grenade through the window beside the door, we were about to breach. This disoriented the 4 men inside.
Saki broke the door open with a kick. Then Kaiser and I went inside. Kaiser put three bullets into the man beside the couch while I shot the man covering the other 2 men's escape.
The two men escaped our grasps with help of the back door. Kaiser and I chased after them. Saki went to find high ground to provide overwatch.
The back door lead to a alley. We ran through the alley way. It ran through a market. As we got out of the alley.
We were put into a line of fire by armed men coming out of a building up a head. The two men went pa.s.s that building and went left, straight into a slum.
But before that we needed to handle the 5 men armed with AK74U's.
Kaiser and I started shooting back at the enemy combatants. Two of them went down because they were not in cover. Another one of them popped their head out of the brick wall and I made a hole in his head with brain tissue splattering out onto the ground.
Suddenly , Saki appeared from right hand corner of the velvet building on our rear and neutralize the other two.
Then we kept on moving. We were bit behind because of that firefight.
But it was all for naught as we came out of the slums. The two men were picked up by jeep. They went off but we could not pursue due to orders from my commanding officer to retreat.
Our little ruckus in the market had alerted the authorities. Four APCs with armed police were dispatched to our location.
Thankfully Saki had arranged for transport. He brought a vehicle. I and Kaiser boarded it without any delay. We have to get out of here very quickly.
We ditch our submachine guns and went off. We had to disappear into the populace.
After some time, we reached our hideout. And established video link with command. They mostly shouted at us and said that how could we let a wanted terrorist go.
You see, one of those two men were Mikael Riah. Responsible for planning the Russian emba.s.sy bombing in Indonesia, The Delhi University ma.s.sacre in India, and the a.s.sa.s.sination of Nyugan Van Hyun and many more.
We were so close and yet failed. If the authorities hadn't sent rapid response. We could've captured him. But the odds were not in our favour.
After we were called back. We packed up our gear and luggage. And headed home.
As I waited in the waiting area for my flight. A call came for me. It was my sister.
We traded h.e.l.lo's and chatted for a couple minutes. We caught up on lost time. I hadn't contacted her in 11 years. After some catching up on some sizzling subjects.
After that, she asked if I was coming back to the country.
I replied, yes and she requested me to visit her and stay at her place for a couple weeks. I accepted her offer. Told her I was coming tomorrow.
Well, it's good that I got a few weeks off from work. I can finally see my two cute nephews again. I last saw them when they were only 3 years old. They were so cute and small. I adored them so much that I vowed to never let anyone hurt them. I hope, they are still cute and adorable after all these years.
Growing up, my sister and my mom were the only one I had. Dad divorced mom. Until I was 13, I didn't know I had a dad. Mom never talked about him. So, I always a.s.sumed him to be dead.
I met him. Turns out mom and he had a messy divorce. After mom, he never remarried. He said the reason for their divorce was that he was pursuing his ambitions and mom and my sister were in the way of it.
He apologised to me. For not being there for me and my sister. I didn't say anything. I kept silent as he explained to me.
To this day, I never forgave him and i don't think that I ever can.
I boarded my plane and my plane went off in time.
By tomorrow, I'm gonna be in the company of my adorable nephews, sister and that husband of hers.
I can't wait to get see my sister.
