Asurea Sta.r.s.eeker made this claim so suddenly that the students all summoned here began to whisper and murmur to each other, this was something they never could have expected from an emergency summon. To Sora and the other candidates they didn't really know how to react, as they had no experience in the school yet so they didn't know the old system, but the others were somewhat uncomfortable with the thought of leaving behing their old system of education so suddenly especially because they didn't see much wrong with it. Asurea watched for a small time as the students talked amongst themselves before chuckling to himself and once more raising his voice.

A: "Hey!!!"

The students stopped speaking.

A: "I haven't even said whats going to change yet..."

Asurea looked towards all of the students.

A: "Though from what I've heard, you are right. The main thing being reworked right now is going to be our current teaching system of putting the same elements in the same cla.s.s, as well as filtering those in said element cla.s.ses into the red circles they were given. Everyone's gone through the same test so it was a fair method to use. Now before I start I'm just going to say that most of you will probably like this new system"

Whilst they were told this, even Asurea didn't criticise the old system, so why did it have to change? All the students were even more confused now. Before any of them could raise the question Asurea spoke once more.

A: "Now a very important person in an extremely important realm has asked for this change. Plus I owed them a favor so I couldn't really refuse..."

All the students looked at him with even more confusion.

Firstly, who could pressure someone in the top 10 of the Legends like this? Secondly, what kind of favor needed to be fulfilled when it involved changing the way an entire school worked?

They didn't really think about how casually he put the news through as students who had experience in things like this before knew how casual Asurea was, it didn't matter if you met him alone or if he was talking to thousands, he would essentially speak the same. He would meet everyone with formality but as soon as he started really talking he would slowly devolve into a more casual way of speaking. As the students once more were about to begin speaking Asurea stopped them all.

A: "I know I know but trust me on this one. This person is more important than I ever could be, I can't tell you now for um... reasons... But please trust me when I say this, they are extremely important"

Seth filtered all the people he had ever met in his mind that Asurea could be talking about and there were only a few out there, all of which were people he would never expect to be in Eldia.

S: "Who could it be..."

A: "Anyway, its an extremely simple change. The spatial teachers are already changing the rooms as we speak. Instead of filtering students into both elements and general power level we will now only be filtering them into general power level. I asked why but they just said that it was important to them so I can't really give you any other reason besides that..."

Asurea shrugged his shoulders. All the students, hearing the change, didn't really mind now. It was a change that would in reality just increase the size of their cla.s.ses. But they didn't know how the actual 'teaching' section would work, there were many different types of magic out there and they didn't believe a single teacher could teach so much people.

A: "To anyone wondering how it's going to work. Just think of your normal cla.s.ses but in a larger room with similar element users being put into groups and being taught in those groups by the teachers"

This only confused them more. What changed then? The only real change was that they would now be studying in larger rooms with essentially the same teachers.

A: "This doesn't really make a difference in terms of your studying, but in terms of practicality there will be much more physical action in the cla.s.ses now, with much more battling than before. This time the battling will also be against different magic users, students can choose to opt out of fighting but if you're here to get stronger I don't think anyone will be opposed to it"

The students now were much more accepting of the idea. They had been wanting more physical battles anyway so if there was essentially no difference from the old system but the only change was more physical battles, against other elements? They had now been getting more and more excited.

A: "I can already sense the excitement from alot of you. It seems most had been waiting for something like this to happen..."

Sora watched as the looks of confusion slowly turned to expressions of joy and excitement, the students here had gotten used to the old system and couldn't imagine that a change would make it better instead of worse. As he looked towards the sky filled with students the world around him seemed to freeze. Shocked at the immediate change in his surroundings, he looked everywhere and it was the same, everything had been locked into place, even Asurea who was a Legend had been locked in place, the only one who was able to resist for a brief moment before freezing themselves was Rin. The constant mumbling of the students had come to a halt, and everything around him slowly began to be covered in darkness, leaving only Sora and the frozen-in-s.p.a.ce Asurea in sight. Next to Sora a bright light began to form, taking the shape of a man. As the light became less blinding the form looked towards Asurea and looked back to Sora, Sora could immediately tell who it was.

S: "Azu?"

A: "Yo, been a while huh?"

S: "Yeah it has..."

Last time Sora really met Azu he was being beat up for trying to shun his responsibilities. None of that fury seemed to be present now though so he calmed down.

S: "Is this your doing?"

A: "Not just me, all the other guys helped me with this. We haven't really frozen time by the way, we've just forced you into here. On the outside your kind of just standing still, your pet's probably trying to wake you up"

S: "Oh... well I kinda need to go back..."

A: "Yeah we know. We only forced you in here to tell you one thing"

Azu looked towards the frozen Asurea.

A: "Asurea was a rising star when I was still alive. He was also one of my greatest friends, he knows about the Demon, and he knows about how I went out. My team doesn't know that we were friends because we split up before I even met them, but all you need to know is that when he looked at you he saw me. So he's probably gonna try and help you out"

S: "Oh... okay? Is that it?"

Azu looked confused.

S: "Well... when you drag me in here I feel like its usually because of a life-and-death situation..."

A: "Oh..."

Azu laughed.

A: "Nah, just wanted to tell ya not to be too surprised when the 'Legend' at the top of the school offers you some help"

Sora laughed at how casual Azu was for how weird this experience usually was.

A: "How you feelin by the way?"

S: "Hm? Feeling about what?"

A: "The Demonic King"

Sora paused for a second.

S: "I've gotten over the fear part if thats what you're asking"

A: "Oh? Have you really?"

S: "Well no, obviously not. I'm still terrified of the thought of fighting something like that..."

A: "Then how have you gotten over it?"

S: "I haven't, I've just acceped that it's gonna happen... so I might as well try and save as much people as I can instead of dying whilst knowing what I do now"

Azu was surprised by this response. He remembered these words from somewhere, some time far before he fought the Demonic King. It all clicked at once and Azu smiled.

A: "Well haven't I been a hypocrite..."

Sora was confused.

S: "Hypocrite?"

A: "Sorry for beating you up, I just remembered I went through a similar time as you, I gave you a hard time for something I've done in the past..."

S: "In the past? You were scared too?"

A: "Yeah, I remember now. Those words you just said to me... were the exact words I said to one of my teammates before going into the final battle..."

S: "Oh... so you are a hypocrite then..."

Azu laughed,

A: "Guess so, how're you gonna get back at me then?"

S: "Well I don't think I can beat you in a fight... how about you tell me your teammates names?"

A: "What? Why?"

S: "I wanna find em, see if they're still alive you know?"

A: "Oh trust me... they're definitely alive. I told them all to live normal lives but knowing them they probably grew strong enough to live for centuries in their own ways..."

S: "So? I still wanna know their names"

A: "Nah, maybe another time"

S: "What?! Why?!"

A: "Cause I don't want to deal with your reaction if I tell you"

The darkness around Sora started to light up, revealing the previous setting once again, the frozen Asurea in the dark area completely disappeared and was being replaced with one that had been essentially in the same area. Sora was completely caught off guard by how fast he came back into reality.

S: "What?! My reaction?!"

Del and Rez looked at Sora with confusion.

D: "Sora?"

R: "You okay?"

Sora turned around to look at them and confirmed that he was indeed back in reality.

S: "Oh ignore that... I'm just feeling tired..."

Not much time seemed to have pa.s.sed whilst he had his conversation with Azu, it only took a few seconds, but now he realized that the pa.s.sing glance Asurea gave him wasn't random. Sora mumbled.

S: "His teammates probably have to be some big stars or something right now if it'll get me to 'react'..."

Asurea once more stood high in the sky, he looked down on all his students talking to each other with a smile on his face. Shortly after he received a psychic message and after confirming it he stopped the conversation once more.

A: "Alright! I have just been informed that the rooms have been successfully remade! Good luck on your progress and enjoy your new battles!"

Asurea's cloak seemed to shrink back down to a cloak that only reached just beyond his legs as he extended his finger out towards the location of the students, a tiny black sphere appeared in his hand that held within it a violent energy, it burst like a bubble. The sound of it bursting sounded like the pop of a balloon followed by a violent wind, as the students were hit with this wind they didn't feel any force, it seemed to encircle them all and after a short while their surroundings began to revert back to their previous surroundings. All of the students had now disappeared from this seperate s.p.a.ce, and within it only Asurea remained.

He slowly descended to the ground, as he did the half-colliseum like building sunk into the ground, as if it were being consumed by quicksand. As soon as Asurea's feet touched the ground the field quickly was replaced with the darknes of s.p.a.ce, lit up by stars of every colour on every side and galaxies dotted around, with Asurea's first step on the ground as it's origin, the field had now completely disappeared and Asurea seemed to be floating once more, but this time in the vastness of s.p.a.ce. Two figures appeared in front of him, with three more following shortly after.

S: "So you knew..."

A: "Well... you didn't really do a good job hiding it..."

N: "I thought we did a pretty good job..."

A: "Well it may seem that way to the candidates, but not to a Legend..."

I: "Dezzie you got caught too?"

D: "The only reason me and Miss Xion were able to become teachers is because of Asurea, he found us out straight away"

A: "Well come on... you didn't even change your names..."

X: "Well no one knows what we look like, only a few people do..."

S: "Why haven't you kicked us out then?"

A: "Cause... you guys are training that boy right?"

They all paused, going on the defensive.

S: "What do you know about him?"

A: "Well... I know that you're training him to fight the Demonic King, I'm not your enemy here, I wanna help out too"

X: "How can you prove that claim? We won't just believe you"

A: "Cause that's what Azu would want me to do"

All of them were shocked. They hadn't heard that name from someone that wasn't themselves for centuries.

S: "How do you know that name?!"

X: "What's your relations.h.i.+p with him?"

A: "I'm a friend, from before he went adventuring with you guys"

S: "How do we believe that?"

Asurea sighed.

A: "Man you guys are really defensive... Fine..."

Asurea took out five letters. Each one of them had Azu's signature on them. He then gave specific letters to a specific party member each. The defensive posture's that they had initially slowly dwindled, as they became calmer and calmer. As they read the letters they slowly began to smile, each of the letters detailed Azu's experience with one of his teammates, specifically the ones they reminisced about when they fought the demons. This was all the proof they need, they held the letters towards Asurea and they seemed to float back into his hands.

A: "He sent me letters about his adventures, when he was alone and when he was with you guys. He only wrote to me for important times that he wanted to record down on a piece of paper. This kind of stuff was his way of keeping in touch, do you trust me now?"

They all looked at each other for a brief moment before nodding.

A: "Alright... well. Now that that's done, Dezrin is it?"

D: "Yes?"

A: "You've had a question to ask me since you've gotten here haven't you?"

D: "So you noticed my intention. Yes"

A: "Ask away"

Without hesitation.

D: "Who was it that convinced you to change this system of yours?"

Asurea smiled.

A: "You're as uptight as Azu described you to be, well, I invited you all here to tell you that anyway. The one who asked for this change, and someone else who's realised that Azu's successor is alive. Heralded as one of the most important figures to exist in all of time..."

A circular pillar of light began to form atop them.

A: "Well... guess I don't have to explain..."

The pillar of light solidified into the form of a woman, with a set of white and gold armor that was extremely thin. She had red hair and green eyes, she also donned a pair of angelic wings, she wore no helmet and the aura that she held exceeded everyone's in the room. Azu's team were all shocked by who they saw in front of them, someone who had fought with them on the same battlefield Azu died on.

S: "It's been a while hasn't it..."

X: "Sure has..."

D: "You weren't kidding when you said they were important"

Asurea smiled.

A: "All hail the King of the Celestials..."
