Just like when I put out the fire to the house, everyone started to swarm me and yell out their thanks and anything else they could that they deemed fit. I think at one point, I heard a girls scream, "I want you to firebolt me into your life!"

Personally upon hearing this, I don't know whether to encourage the bad pickup line or just be very disappointing in them.

As I continued to try and diminish their thanks, a sudden hush rushed over all of them that I didn't start. Just like earlier, the crowd started to part and the old man appeared but this time his face was bright red in anger.

"5 MINUTES!" He screamed to me. "IT TOOK YOU BEING HERE FOR JUST 5 MINUTES FOR SOMETHING TO HAPPEN."

At this point, he was right in front of me with his finger being weirdly close to my face.

"I WANT YOU TO PAY FOR ALL THIS DAMAGE AND THEN LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!"

He stopped talking and started breathing heavily as if he ran a marathon just to say all that. However, everything he said didn't really get to me as he was so short compared to me that it was just hilarious seeing this.

While trying to stifle the laughter the was slowly creeping its way up, a couple seconds of silenced pa.s.sed.

Thankfully, someone spoke up before my laughter at the old man's shortness and anger broke out.

"Listen old man," Someone said, "You need to stop discriminating people just because they can use magic and what not!"

"Yeah!" Yelled another, "Just because something bad happens doesn't mean that it was their fault!"

The old man's face was getting brighter and brighter to the point where his face could be cla.s.sified as a actual tomato.

Finally, to add just a bit more insult to injury, one of the little kids from earlier yelled out, "How many times do we need to teach you this lesson old man!?"

Everyone started talking among themselves about it and just kept on agreeing with what the 3 people just said. At some point, the old man turned around and walked away from me while muttering something that I couldn't hear.

Again, there was a moment of nothing but silence but after we could no longer see the old man, someone asked, "What now?" and they all discussed really quickly.

After a bit, someone was pushed through the crowd to where I was standing.

"H-Hi there." Said the new guy, "I'm Eric and everyone decided for me to be the new mayor of this town a bit ago."

"Ok cool... Is there somewhere I can go to eat? I'm starving after doing so much in one day!"

His previously worried face changed to one of confidence upon hearing me mention food.

"Luckily for you, I happen to be the inn keeper here and make the food as well! How about this, you tell us the name of our hero and we'll get you as much food as you want to eat and a place to sleep for the night? How does that sound?" He reached out his hand for a handshake.

I smiled, "The name's Leo. Leo Walter." I shook his hand.

Everyone started cheering and once again thanked me for everything I did in the last couple of minutes.

[Thank's to you being seen as a hero in peoples eyes, you've been given the t.i.tle {Hero}]

I was a bit surprised to how easy it was to get this t.i.tle compared to all the Novels and such that I've read back on earth. Usually, to get that t.i.tle, you would have to be the savior of humanity and do something so bada.s.s that literally everyone in existence thinks you deserve the t.i.tle or are worthy of it.

Again, all I did was kill a couple of bandits and such.

While all the villagers started leading me in the direction of the Inn, I stayed in the back and took a look at the System. Like when I originally selected my Cla.s.s, the t.i.tles had a + sign near it as well.

Pressing it mentally, it extended the amount of t.i.tles I had, showed what they all did, and showed which was currently being shown.

[Current t.i.tle Active- Friend of G.o.d: Adds a permanent extra 10 luck each time user levels up.

Protector of the Elves: All Elves will look up to you for what you've done for them and see you as one of their own so they'll not discriminate against you for your race.

Hero: For being recognized by a group for people, they all look up to you and their hopes and dreams fuel you as they increase your stats. The more people that see you as a Hero, the bigger the stat increase.]

For now, this was all I had but they were pretty decent t.i.tles in my opinion.

Looking away from the System screen, I saw that people were staring at me in wonder as to them I was just starring straight forwards in deep concentration.

"Uhh, sorry. Just thought of a new spell?" I quickly lied.

Most of them looked as if they didn't believe it but they didn't know how they were done or made so they just shrugged their shoulders and went with it.

Eric walked forwards and dragged me into the Inn before quickly turning around and yelling for everyone to start fixing everything. They seemed like they wanted to argue but they didn't as they just mumbled as they walk away.

Eric turned to me with a bright smile on his face and a look of confidence in his eyes.

"So what would you like to know Hero?"

"You able to cook some meat?"

"Easily, what kind would you like?"

"Hold on for a second real quick."

I turned my back to him while taking my backpack and making it seem like I was grabbing something from it. Reaching my hand inside, I got a the body of the magic rabbit out before putting my backpack back on and reaching it out to him.

"Think you could cook this for me?"

He grabbed it gently while observing it and after a few seconds his face turned a bit sorrowful.

"As you probably know Hero, this is was a monster that could use magic from the look of it. While this doesn't have it's magic crystal inside it anymore, just the fact that it was able to use magic makes this something highly poisonous to us."

"And why's that?" I questioned.

He raised an eyebrow as this but still answered. "It's because some of it's personal mana is still stored in the body and any mana that is taken into the body from another source but the world or what you naturally create is harmful to you as it'll fight you from the inside."

I stroked my non existent beard upon hearing this because this perfectly aligned with my Adaptability wish.

"Can you cook it anyways? I think I have a way where I can eat it without harm and it might even make me a bit stronger."

His face showed doubt but he released a deep sigh before saying, "Take a seat, I'll go and cook this for you. Since you saved everyone I'll trust you enough when you say you might have a way but if you die then it's your fault."

He went to the back of the Inn and started cooking as I was left alone. I took a seat in the chair that he indicated to earlier and sat silently for a bit before I grew bored and started tapping my finger's on the table nearby.

After a 3 minutes of solid nothing, I grew way to bored.

'System, can I buy a book from the shop or something?'

[You can buy anything from the shop, it just depends on what you want to buy and how much you're willing to spend. If you just give me a idea of what you want, I'll list possible things to buy with your available System points.]

'Hmm... Buy me a random book for 10 System Points that I'll like and put it on the table.'

[Confirmed. Processing purchase now....]

A moment later, a decent sized book lightly hit the table . Picking it up, I looked at the cover which depicted something very Excalibur like as there was a sword in the stone picture with a actual gem in the center of the book which acted as the pommel.

The book's t.i.tle was called, "Forgotten Tale of the Unforgettable Hero" which seemed weird as it said unforgettable but also forgotten which makes it confusing as to how something unforgettable could be forgotten if it's in a book.

Shaking my head trying to get my mind of the stupidness of it, I started the book.
