Casey tapped her chin as she looked at Radley walking away with the strange black creature behind him, "Should we let him go?"

"I don't think we should let him go."

"n.o.body will be the wiser. He said it himself. Who would know, and besides his a d.i.c.k."

"What if they had satellites on him?"

"Why did you have to go and bring that up?... Tell you what. Why don't we feign innocence if they ever do ask us about it."

"Yeah, I guess you're right, he was a bit of a d.i.c.k."

"Right?... We are going to follow him, aren't we?"

"He is still a young, up and coming, and he's got a pair on him. I am just curious. That's all. I just want to see how this plays out."

"What happened to the ever-cautious Raelene I learned to know and love?"

"She met a guy that intrigued her."

"You are twenty-seven years old! He is practically young enough to be your son!"

"Semantics, besides I am not interested in that why. If you haven't forgotten, I too prefer the company of women. I don't see a male changing that any time soon."

She grumbled under her breath. She had a bad feeling about this.

Radley made his way towards the cliff where the waterfall was falling. He sighed more climbing it seemed. He needed a place to get out of the wet. He started climbing up with Blobby hot on his tail. The climb started out easily enough but the wet surface was starting to cause some slipping issues.

He finally found a good enough crevice to take him the rest of the way. Similar story, the rain was still ever-present, and the land was green and lush with no trees

While hunger was not yet an issue he would have still preferred to be dry. He kept following the river and climbed up yet another cliff close to a waterfall, luckily the rock was stable and not withered. He repeated this for another five-time until he reached the absolute top of the mountain. There was a bit of a strange spectacle. There was a ma.s.sive spring-like hole in it that seemed to go down for who knows how far constantly pus.h.i.+ng out water creating numerous waterfalls and short torrential rivers. Radley needed to cross one of these rivers. He could try and jump it using his power slam ability to jump over the river, but this particular surface was made of solid basalt. It had a smoother surface than most rocks and moss was growing everywhere making this place one h.e.l.l of a slip hazard. Radley feared that might cause him to slip and fall over the edge if he didn't judge the distance right. Luckily, there was room for some levity.

He just needed the right distance, and besides, he had his trusty axe. He used his ability to jump. It sent him much higher than antic.i.p.ated but luckily he fell safely on the other side, sort of. His feet slipped out from under him making him take damage. He rubbed his face a bit but luckily he was fine. He needed to go down the other side. Now that he thought about it might have been better to just walk around. Blobby easily made the jump and thanks to his claws didn't slip either. Radley frowned when he saw that. A wyvern landed on the edge and Radley dove to the ground keeping as small as possible. He had no intention of tangoing with a level fourteen golden wyvern.

The beast just seemed to stare out into the abyss. How it had not noticed him was a miracle. He beckoned Blobby to go down low as well, even though he was black and almost perfectly blended in with his surroundings. The wyvern lifted its nose and almost looked like it was smelling the air. It took a dive making Radley sigh in relief. He made his way to the edge and peered over. It was a long way down causing his acrophobia to kick in.

He quickly backed away from the edge and called Blobby over. He patted him was breathing pretty heavily. He took a deep breath and studied the edge for a bit. He found a nice area where he could easily descend lower. Next time if he had some money he was going to buy a rope. He made his way down the crevice. It had plenty of footholds and the likes, which allowed for relatively easy descending, but his luck had just run out. Another wyvern was descending towards them.

Radley did not notice the creature until the very last second where he made an instinctive backflip off the cliff face just before the wyvern struck. Blobby jumped onto the creature's back and bit into him, but the scales were just too tough for him.

The creature started flying really badly for some reason, which Radley just couldn't figure out. Radley looked around and tried making his way onto his back. He searched and found that one of his wings was hurt. An arrow was stuck in it.

They started falling towards the ground and hit the ground pretty hard even though they were flying. Radley removed his small knife and jammed it into the wyvern's eyes using power slam. It blinded the creature, but he didn't want to stick around to be hunted again for in case it was only slowed down. He ran with Blobby hot on his heels. The problem was the platforms this time was much larger than the one he traveled across last time.

He checked back to see if the creature was following them, but it didn't seem so. To close for comfort, now he was curious about what caused the creature to fall. Guess he still had some luck left.

Casey lowered her bow after she clipped the wing, and shook her head, "I told him he should be more careful of the wyverns, and why is he walking like this? Straight, over the mountain? He could have just bypa.s.sed the top part and walked around."

"Casey, He would have still faced cliffs."

"It would have still been a better option than what he is doing now."

"I agree, but we are still not going to intervene."

"I still find his walking methodology questionable."
