"For a guy that is supposedly supposed to be smart, you really are dumb. The council wants their money and couldn't care less. All the magistrates are, are agents that reinforce the rules that the council set up. At best there will be an investigation, no one is going to tattle. So that will be a dead end. Your position currently means nothing. You lost the bit of influence you had."

Joftel moved faster than the strategist could react as a sword stabbed through his throat, "With this, my debt is cleared."

This time it was Adira who was surprised.

Adira walked up to him, "You do know I have to take you in. I am still a magistrate."

"The rules fell to s.h.i.+t when this war was still a thing."

She slapped him real hard as he was sent flying. She walked up to him and gave him a hand, "Punishment served."

His jaw was pretty badly dislocated but he laughed it off none the less. The night wore on as there was even a time when a really uncomfortable orgy went on. Radley decided to head back to the B&B to sleep because he needed to get ready for the next day. He was going to leave again the following day. It was time to move on. Adrian caught him just as he was about to leave, "And where do you think you are going, young man?"

Radley turned to face whoever it was, "Oh Adrian. I just wanted to get an early night, and besides, that is making me super uncomfortable." He pointed towards the orgy.

Adrian laughed, "Well at least the girls didn't see it because they already left."

Radley remembered the phone, "Oh yeah. I forgot to give this back."

He gave it to Adrian who refused it, "As I said before. Keep it. I need to look at proper funeral arrangements. Have you considered my offer by the way?"

"You mean your daughter?"

"Yes."

"I don't think that's a good idea. She needs proper experience with much higher-level accomplices. Not me. Tell you what. Give her some training first then send her my way. That way she can experience cohesive teamwork."

Adrian smiled, "Well then, don't let me keep your bed waiting."

Radley nodded and waved goodbye.
