When Helen came back from the doctor as she entered the house she followed the food aroma coming from the kitchen. Helen opened the kitchen's door and saw Mike preparing some dishes.

- Mike, I didn't know that you could cook. Helen said with a surprise in her voice. Even if she ate an hour ago, the aroma that came from the dishes made her hungry again, also the fact that she's pregnant played a part.

- Can I have some?

- Sure. But, don't let Jini know. It's a surprise for her.

- Don't worry, I won't spoil your surprise. As long I can have another dessert.

- Okay.

- Thanks. I'll go to my room after I finis.h.i.+ng everything. I don't want to end up eating all the dishes you prepared for Jini. Just in case you better lock the kitchen. Helen said as she took the dessert with her so that she won't be tempted by that delicious food again. Mike was to focused with what he was doing so he didn't heard what Helen said. Still he went and locked the door since he knew how big an appet.i.te a pregnant woman has. He knew from personal experience when his older sisters were pregnant and came to visit they always made him prepare their favorite dishes in huge portions.

A few hours later...

It happened the same thing to Jini that happened to Helen. She followed the aroma that was coming from the kitchen. When she entered she saw the table arranged beautifully with candles and flowers in the middle. What attracted Jini's eyes was another table full of french dishes and desserts. As she was admiring the dishes Jini didn't realized that Mike was standing behind her. She only came to her senses when she felt two soft lips placing a kiss on her shoulder.

- Mike, did you made all of this?

- Yes. Do you like my surprise? Mike said as he turned Jini towards him.

- Jini why are you crying?

- I'm impressed by how wonderful my husband is...

- Say that again. I want to be sure that I didn't hear wrong.

- My husband... Jini said with a big smile on her face.

- ???

- Did you expected me to say again that I'm impressed by how wonderful you are?

- Yeah. Mike said making a sad puppy face.

- My love. This is the real life. Not a movie or a romance novel. So, be prepared to hear me calling you my husband everyday from now on until we are old.

- I love you Jini.

- I love you Mike. Now lets eat. I can hardly wait to taste the food.

- Sure. Mike said as he pulled the chair for Jini to seat down at the table.

- Mademoiselle what would you like to have. The dishes that the chef prepared are: Salade Lyonnaise, Ratatouille, Coq au vin, Crème brûlée, Macarons, Éclair, Mille-feuille.

- Please tell the chef that I want to try them all.

- Bien sur mademoiselle. I will be my pleasure to serve you.

- Oh. Can't wait for you to serve me. Jini said winking at Mike.

Those words from Jini made Mike almost to drop the food plate on the table.

- Dear wife, can you please stop teasing me, or I will eat you instead.

- I wouldn't mind...

- Oh, since you don't mind then I wouldn't mind eat you right now, naughty wife. Mike said as he got up from his chair and began walking towards Jini. Seeing Mike coming closer Jini said to him:

- Hubby. I promise I'll behave. Lets just eat, I'm really hungry.

But Mike didn't listened to her, he bent down and gave Jini a kiss that left her breathless.

- Now we can eat. Mike said as he went back to his seat.

After they finished eating, Mike sent Jini to their room to get ready for bed, while he was doing the dishes. When he entered the room Jini was already in bed reading a book.

- I'll go take a shower, when I'm done be prepared to be eaten wife.

- Mike can I ask you a question?

- You can ask me whatever you want. You're my wife. It's your right to ask as many questions you want.

- Who taught you to cook?

- The person who taught me was my mum.

- Your mum?

- Yeah. My mum is a french chef. And she is also french.

- Wow. No wonder you can cook. And your father?

- My father is a chef too. But my father is half french, half american.

- I guess your father also taught you to cook western.

- Yeah. I'll take you to meet them soon.

- Your parents are in France? Why didn't you told me?

- My parents are in Australia right now, they are coming next week.

- Can't wait to meet them. Now, go take your shower. It's late. And don't forget tomorrow we have an appointment with the doctor.

- Okay. I'm going.

- Mike?

- Yeah Jini?

- Can we just cuddle tonight?

- Sure thing, dear wife. We will do that. Mike said and placed a small kiss on Jini's lips before going to take a cold shower...
