"I'm not worth more than a p-plate of chicken feet?" Lan Yi couldn't believe this little girl loves chicken feet more than her. Furiously looking back at Yi Lian, Lan Yi's anger dissipated. In front of her was a teary eye Yi Lian who looks like she could break at any moment.

In three days time Lan Yi would have gone on a perilous journey with Yu Feng in search of a body strengthening plant named 'Heaven's Lotus'. As the name states Heaven's Lotus is a lotus located on Hai Tian mountain. Yu Feng was intrigued by Lan Yi, Yu Feng had unwittingly died by the hands of her and her older sister Yi Lian. Yu Feng thought of getting revenge against the pair of sisters. Yet Yu Feng sensed a different aura from Lan Yi, she was different.

Yi Lian looked at him strangely, as the maid servants entered and served the daily medicine it was Yi Lian who personally fed him today's medical soup.

After having a wet nurse escort Qing'er out Yi Lian stared at him intensely.

"Your Majesty have you ever doubted my love and devotion to you?", strange Yu Feng thought at the time.

"When have I ever questioned it? I made you Empress did I not? What going on with you, lately you been coming over to care for ensuring that I'm well." Yu Feng didn't mean this in a bad way but he was curious.

" Its nothing.", Yu Feng started to feel a burning sensation internally. As he looked at his beloved Empress, who was smiling as if she gained the entire world.

"W-what did you do to the medicine?" Yu Feng couldn't help but suspect his Empress with poisoning him.

"What did I do? Well I poisoned you. Yu Feng don't tell me you gotten stupid from in taking all of the poisons from over the years now, have you?" Yi Lian mocked him, Yi Lian walked closer to the desk.

"Do you want to know why I did this? I did it because I've been having an affair with your Uncle. Isn't it genius? I've been with your uncle since you decided to marry my younger sister." Unbelievable! Yu Feng couldn't believe that the sweet and fragile Yi Lian would turn out to be so vicious!

"Oh! Don't worry about my younger sister when you die. She is after all the one who proposed this idea. You, all alone and weak. It was much easier when you refused to take more consorts and was keen on me and my little sister only. Ha ha ha!"

Brought back to reality Yu Feng's eye held complicated emotions. Unsure whether to believe in one thing or another.

"Alright." Lan Yi and Yu Feng waited until they were confident the entourage wouldn't return.

Sneaking down the hill Lan Yi rushed towards the pit only to fall onto her knees. Yu Feng ran thinking the girl was dead.

But, the girl wasn't dead. She was piled on top of 10 other girls at the least.

Yu Feng looked at all the dead girls while Lan Yi was crying but had started to reach for the girl whom was kicked in not too long ago. Pulling her out Lan Yi hugged her, Lan Yi could hear the whimpers of the child in her arms. Yu Feng heard it too and for the first time since returning to his youth shed tears for a child who was tainted by this diseased world.

After rescuing the girl from the pit they continued onwards to find the item for Yi Lian.

As the years pa.s.s by Lan Yi would be reminiscing about the time she found her precious little girl whom is now off to marry.
