Blue Screen Blues 39 Chapter 39: Skeletons In The Close

When Lunch was over, Ryan got on a Rowboat with Kannell, and they go on their Sailboat and start moving loads back and forth together.

Kannell Awkwardly looks at Ryan and really can't remember last night. She does see a mark on his neck but doesn't think anything of it.

"Sorry for what I did last night when I was drunk" Ryan said awkwardly as they sail toward Ana island.

"What did we do exactly to make me teleport you out again? I don't remember" Kannell replies While eating some crab meat she grabbed before they got on the boat.

"Oh, you don't remember?" Ryan replied seeming confused.

"Nope not a thing" She said while looking at the island in the distance.

"Oh, ok" Ryan said while Shyly Covering up his bite mark.

"Where did that come from?" she asks.

"Oh, I accidentally spilled some water on you, and you teleported me out. I got attacked by a random succubus out in the Woods" Ryan said while creating A fictional story of his own of what happened that night.

"Hey, I may have p.i.s.sed off your girlfriend accidentally, I ended up telling her about the bite mark you left me before my date, and she looks like she really wants to kill you" she tells him.

"Not worried. She knows we aren't together" He replies to her.

"Oh, alrighty?" She said seeming confused.

"Shes Annoying as h.e.l.l" Ryan tells her with a smile.

"So, where did you get this crab?" She asks him.

"Saved somone. Got it as a reward" He told her while he brings the boat toward the Dock.

"Ahh alright. This stuff is Good!" She tells him.

Ryan brings the boat to the dock and they pull down the sail and throw the dock crew some ropes and they pull them in.

They Load the boat and then sail back again.

Among sailing back Ryan smiles at Kannell and shrugs his shoulders.

"Why do you get s.h.i.+t faced every night?" Ryan asked her.

"I don't want to talk about it" She said with a smile.

"Alrighty" He said as they arrive to the other side of the harbor. They get a Thumbs up to pull up to the side of the Jetties and throw an anchor down to an Improvised dock they just made on the end of the jetty. 50 men then start boarding the s.h.i.+p and they start unloading the sand quickly.

Having the Jetty extended out cut out time to unload via Rowboat by a lot. They had the s.h.i.+p unloaded in by men very quickly. Men would walk down the Jetty, enter the s.h.i.+p grab 2 bags, or carry a Wheelbarrow and load them up and take them to sh.o.r.e.

They had the s.h.i.+p unloaded in 15 minutes, then were dispatched to go back to ana Island again.

As they sailed back, they could hear the Fire mages Destroying segments of walls and see the Low-level Arcane mages Transport Rubble to the Sides of the Jetties.

The two Land back on Ana Island again and start loading up with Coquina bags and Limestone bags, then head back to sh.o.r.e again.

Meanwhile….

Zephyr walks down a Road 5 miles South of Staug City and Sees a mansion at an Address that was on her receipt. When she see the place, she faints from excitement.

The place was a 10 Room run down Manor with a Large overgrown Garden full of wildflowers, a storage area with 2 Rusty Carriages, and a Large pond in the back yard surrounded by Trees, and tons of wildlife. When Zephyr Calms down from her excitement, she Jumps up and Charges through the front door.

Inside the house the Air was musty, and Stale. The Manson was Furnished with Furniture, that was Dusty and full of Cobwebs and old paintings.

There was a lot of broken gla.s.s everywhere, and at the same time all over the floor. It looked as if there as a huge fight here a long time ago. She shrugs her shoulders and goes upstairs and goes through a lot of the rooms. There were clothes that were covered in blood in one room, an Alchemy kit that appeared to have been used for making poison, and in the master Bedroom it looked like all Valuables were Sorted through and stolen. However, an Old Painting of 2 people Holding a Baby was left hanging over the bed with tons of Ripped and Blood Soiled Clothes all over the place.

Zephyr leans down and sifts through the Clothes and finds a Doc.u.ment that had a Date from 15 years ago from June 12th, 1305. The date was all that was readable, but it was covered in dried blood, and at the same time near the note was a Wine gla.s.s that had a weird dark green residue on it. Zephyr looked at the gla.s.s and Knew that was poison on the gla.s.s.

"I wonder who lived here?" She asks herself.

She walks onto the bed and looks at this huge painting above the headboard. She jumps up and grabs the painting and pulls it down and reads the back.

This Painting is Dedicated to The Duke and d.u.c.h.ess of North east region of Tourterra. Casey, and Damien Hawthorne.

When Zephyr Read this a surge of Guilt, and regret came rus.h.i.+ng through her spine.

"Oh my G.o.d, this is Liz's old home. Holy c.r.a.p Warren wasn't joking about it being a bloodbath here" She said with a Numb state. Zephyr walks out of the room, and then down the hallway to Liz's old room.

This room was untouched in terms of blood and signs of a Domestic warfare, but it had all the drawers open and all the kids clothes were thrown everywhere on the floor.

There was a Book on the dresser that appeared to be a Diary of some sort, and when she opened it, she realized it was Lindsay's Mothers.

She slowly walks downstairs and looks around at a house that was Divided; or in this case torn apart just to get power and control. She walks around the back of the house and looks at the lake they had. Everything around the area was overgrown but the Blue Jays, and the Cardinals were out enjoying this wonderful Tourterra winter weather of 75 degrees. (23 C)

She looks around at the land and see's a lot of work needs to be done however if shes going to call this place home. She knows living here is wrong knowing this is Liz's old home, but Shes going to make it right to Liz. She Slowly walks away heavy hearted and heads back into town.

Meanwhile back at town…

Ryan and Kannell are docking at the mainland again with s.h.i.+pments of Coquina and Limestone.

Men come in ma.s.s's and start unloading the transport s.h.i.+p. Then Ryan gets a.s.signed to Truck Driver duty for the last 3 hours of the day. He rides out to a different part of town. He was directed to head 5 miles south of town and pick up preloaded wagons full of Pipes.

He rides at moderate speed with the Donkey train at 8 Miles per Hour and brings the men who oversaw the pipe foundry an empty wagon to Swap out with. He Drops the empty Wagon, and then connects to a full one and starts heading back to town. On his way back to town he sees Zephyr walking.

"Hey, want to hop on?" He asks her as he pulls up beside her.

She was a little p.i.s.sed at him from last night, and shoots him a glare, but gets on without saying a word.

"What are they making you do?" She asks him with a p.i.s.sed off att.i.tude.

"They make me do a whole lot of everything, but right now I am moving supplies from point A to B" He tells her.

"So last night I learned something about you. I Didn't know you're a f.u.c.kboy" she said with a dark tone.

"Hang on, no. No, I am not" He told her defensively.

She points to the bite mark on his neck, and laughs at him

"Mark of a f.u.c.kboy right here!" She said while giving him an angry look.

"No, hang on that was from a succubus last night. I did not have a good night last night at all" He told replied back to her.

"Oh really? Well I learned from Kannell you shared a room with her before an important date of hers and left a Mark just like this on her" She said while giving him a p.i.s.sed off look.

Ryan was a little scared. He wonders if she knows that Kannell bite him and transported him out of the room. He knows this crazy b.i.t.c.h will kill her if she found out about that.

"Yes, I know, but we weren't dating when I did it. I'm not yours you know that right? All we are right now are friends. I still haven't forgiven you what you did to me in the woods, getting us locked out of town, and Killing Vedra. At the same time, I want to Kill you for backstabbing me like this and making me your "Pet" or indentured servant till my debt is payed to you. If I wanted to f.u.c.k around here I can. I am single and still a free man." He told her while keeping his eyes on the road.

"Over my dead body! You are mine dude. I already Imprinted on you, and had my first kiss with you, Almost Sacrificed myself for you, and I expect a lot more firsts with you Ryan!" She screamed in a hurt tone.

"Will you please stop with the Dramatics? I don't love you. You keep trying to control me and it's pus.h.i.+ng me away more and more from you. p.i.s.s me off more and the whole "Friends with benefits" thing we have stops!" He tells her firmly.

Zephyr takes a deep breath and wants to yell at him, but haves an idea.

"Oh okay. Fine I'll calm down. You are right I don't have the right to control you, but… You still have to do what I say, or Queen Lake will have your head" She told him with a smile on her face.

"Zephyr!!! What are you thinking?" Ryan said while reading her facial Expression.

She just sits back and closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"Don't worry about it" She said calmly.

"Oh, I am Very Worried about it!" Ryan screams with deep fear in his tone.

She stays quite for 6 minutes and drives him crazy.

"Ugg I bought a Manson last night" She tells him after she sees that he has calmed down.

"With your Reward money?" He asks seeming confused.

"Yes. But I went to it today and realized it is Liz's old house. It's kind of f.u.c.ked up what I did when I was drunk" She tells him.

"Everything you do is f.u.c.ked up" Ryan shoots back.

"I'm gong to teach your a.s.s about Respect tonight dude" She snaps back at him.

"Oh, what are you going to do? "Withhold" s.e.x from me? He tells her sarcastically.

She just remains silent and they start pulling into town.

She smiles at him and hops off.

He pulls into his unload area and drops the Wagon and then looks at the time. It was time to call it quits for the day. He takes his Donkeys and starts unsaddling them and starts putting them in the stables. When he was done, he walks to the Inn and Breanna was there in the doorway preventing him from entering.

"What the h.e.l.l did you say to her?" Breanna said to him with her arms crossed.

"To who?" Ryan asked seeming confused.

"To Zephyr Dumba.s.s. She Cried to me and told me you hurt her feelings and called me a b.i.t.c.h behind my back" Breanna said with an att.i.tude.

"I said no such thing about you Breanna, but Yes, I did tell Zephyr she doesn't own me, and I can date anyone I want while I'm under her Indentured servitude contract thing" Ryan replied to her.

"Well look, my hands are tied with a lot of things, I was begged not to let you in here tonight, so you have to sleep outside." She told him firmly.

"Wait hold on, That's not fair! You don't have to be a b.i.t.c.h because Zephyr can't get her way!" Ryan screamed in anger.

Suddenly he covers his mouth and has a headache of embarra.s.sment realizing what he said.

"So, you did call me a b.i.t.c.h! Outside you little ungrateful f.u.c.kboy!" She screamed at him. She then slams the door in his face and Ryan throws his hands up in confusion.

He then stomps off to Starks house and knocks on the door.

"Sure, what do you have going on?" Ryan asks as he points to a Huge Horse collar.

"So, I heard you have been busy being a Hero, around here, and accidently got yourself in to some trouble along the way as well" Stark Says as he stands behind the huge leather Collar.

"Ya, I ended up p.i.s.sing off Vedra, getting my a.s.s Kidnapped by her, Ruining somone else's life, and Unintentionally caused Vedra's empire to fall, and summoned forth 2 demons that wreaked havoc upon the town" Ryan explained while he held a huge thick piece of leather in place as He started putting small Fine stiches in it.

"I heard. You know you stopped the town from being haunted by Ghouls and Shades at night, too right?" He said as he started taking extreamly small st.i.tches in the 2 pieces he was fusing together.

"Ya but I put the mages out of job, and I feel bad because of it now" Ryan said as he kept his piece still and level.

"Don't beat yourself up, they knew the job was to good to last forever. All of them were Cla.s.s leaders anyway, so they were getting money from the Tourterra Government from in form of Military Training Aid" He said as he hands the needle to Ryan. Ryan smiles and takes the Needle and starts taking fine St.i.tches like he did while he held the other side still.

"Ahh that's right, IN the event of war the Cla.s.s leaders are your Commanding officers" Ryan said while focusing on the task.

"Exactly! So, don't beat yourself up. All of them in that mage clique except one, is a cla.s.s leader, and she is what I been told just suffered a really bad Divorce" He told Ryan.

"Wait you mean Kannell?" He asks him seeming confused.

"Yes, that's her name!" He said as Ryan starts making progress in the leather

"It's Supposed to be for the pair of Gatorboar's the town is getting tommorow" He said while he puts away all his tools.

"Sure would! But I came here to ask if I could borrow one of your Blankets, and Pillows. Zephyr Got me kicked out of The Inn until she gets her way. You know how woman are when they don't get their way" Ryan said while making a Hand gesture.

"Sure, let me go grab you one. You can sleep inside here if you want" He offered Ryan.

"No, I am Partly a Country boy, I like sleeping under the Amazing Stars this world has. Plus, I sleep with music on, so I don't want to keep you up" Ryan told him.

"Ahh alrighty, I understand. Well here you go, bring them back to me washed please" He Requested to Ryan as he hands them over to him.

"Yes, Sir I will" Ryan Replied as he walks out of the House and starts walking Up the Stairs of the Fort walls. He notices the gates were locked but saw a very inviting area in the distance under a Tree to the South. He pulls out his phone and goes through his Widget apps. He selects the "Slow Fall" buff for 15 seconds and jumps off the 20-foot wall and glides down with his Camping gear in hand.

He glides forward and Sees Warren behind him Shrugging his shoulders at him. Ryan runs over to that perfect spot to camp under an Orange tree all by itself and lays down his gear.

Meanwhile 5 miles south of him Zephyr, and Liz are walking to the mansion talking.

Zephyr gave her an explanation on what happened this afternoon, and what she found inside. On the inside. She seems calm about this as both of them carry's a big huge backpack full of Candles, and some linen bags. She forgot where this place was and Forgot all about this being her old home. She hates the fact at 4 years old she had to go through all of this and feels embarra.s.sed her old home has been right under her nose the whole time. She sits down and crosses her legs while Zephyr picks on her change of mood. Liz looks at the Carriages and thinks hard as a kid and remembers when they were Brand new and not rusty. She remembers one of them being Yellow,

She then looks at the garden in front and remembers when it had all sorts of Colorful flowers, and Remembers the Staff Tending to them, and one of her maids bringing her a Pink Rose off a bush that was no longer there.

She gets up and Prepares to enter the mansion with Zephyr.

"Hey Are, you Okay?" Zephyr asked seeming concerned

"Yes, I am fine. Let's go" She said while hiding her true feelings.

The two walk into the home and Zephyr pulls out her Candles and lights them up. She Places Them on the Candle holders in the home and light up the main Room.

Liz sees the mess and smiles. She is so happy to see her old home again, but the blood and gla.s.s everywhere was also a heart-breaking reminder of how much her family was divided overpower. She walks over to Zephyr and gives her a Hug.

Zephyr's Ears and tail move to the side showing her she cares for her.

"Oh nothing, just happy to be allowed to see this place again. Let's start cleaning this place up. I'll give you a Tour as well" Liz said as she takes out a Linen bag. She starts Picking up all the b.l.o.o.d.y Clothes and throwing them in the bags. Zephyr helps her as well and they go through all the rooms picking up all the Trash on the floor. When their bags were full, they walked outside and there was a firepit they dumped all the burnable material in. They then get back inside and start cleaning up more trash. While they do that Liz Tells Zephyr her life story.

I killed bandits for hire to make a living, and Then at 17 I got Reckless and Killed that Undercover Deputy and then s.h.i.+t got real, and Bella Saved my a.s.s and became my Best friend, and like a mother to me, and Then you know the rest of this story" Liz said Calmly.

"Like I said, I am very sorry, I didn't know Liz I made a Tragic life of yours Even more Depressing. Look here is the deal, I may own the Home, but Your welcome to live here as if it is yours" Zephyr said with a smile.

Liz walks over to Zephyr and gives her a Warm hug.

"Thank you. I just want a home to call my own again. Bella is still in my heart, but she always told me home is where your heart is. Being able to live here again is a blessing. Even if it is a Dark reminder of how power divides people" She said with a depressed tone while looking around the house.

The two then walk to the back of the house to the firepit, and Liz casts an Arcane spell that heats up a piece of wood. This sets it on fire, and she starts burning the clothes and Trash they just pulled out of the Living room and kitchen. The sit around the Fire and smile each other.

"So, what are we going to do about Ryan?" Liz asked.

"He's in the "Doghouse" right now for being an a.s.shole. But I plan on bringing him here and sharing a room with him. Gonna cuddle with that s.e.xy Boy all night long! She said while smiling at her.

"Do I get my own room too?" Liz asks her.

"Sure, you do, wait hang on have you seen your room?" Zephyr asks her.

"No, I haven't. Let's go check it out" Liz Replies.

The two of them walk inside with the fire still burning and Lights some more candles and walks into Her old room.

When Liz enters, she sees Toys, and Heirlooms she had as a little girl she hasn't seen in such a long time. She looks at her Queen-sized bed that was dirty and messy and looks at the cobwebs that were everywhere. She then picks up the old Diary of her moms and smiles.

She then goes through her dresser Drawers and found Clothes as a child still folded away and a blue sapphire neckless that had her name engraved on it, that was tucked inside one her blue s.h.i.+rts. She takes this and smiles and puts it on.

She pulls off her sheets from her bed, and when she does so she sees a Huge needle with Poison in it that was impaled through the pillow. She a.n.a.lyzes this Carefully and Zephyr's Rogue Instincts Kick in.

"Hang on there. This was a trap for you" Zephyr said while looks at the needle through the pillow.

"Ya I understand that, I'm not that stupid" Liz said calmly.

"Looks like they thought if you came back here, you would Grab your mothers Diary, Cry your heart out, jump on your bed and cry into your pillow, where you would get stuck by this needle filled with poison" She said while looking under the bed for additional Traps. She finds a Vial of poison and freaks out. She walks behind Liz and yanks off her Neckless and Drags her outside.

"What are you doing!" Liz screams at her.

Zephyr doesn't say a word she takes her to the Lake behind the house and washes the neckless off with water. The water Reactivates the poison and the whole thing turns Dark blue.

She then shows Liz the Neckless and her eyes light up.

"Oh s.h.i.+t!" She screams as she runs to the water and dunks her head in. She sees the Reactivated poison residue and Zephyr takes some mud and cakes it on the Residue. When she dunks her head in there again the mud peels off the poison on her neck and falls into the water.

" You Saved me Twice now" Liz said while honoring her as a hero.

"Don't worry about it. Look My cla.s.s we use poison all the time in combat. I knew what to look for. This is pretty f.u.c.ked up to do to a Child. They had a feeling you may be alive and planned on killing you if you ever returned.

"Ya I know, But I am not a 4-year-old little kid anymore. I will keep an eye out for more of these traps while We clean the house up" she said as she grabs her neckless and starts was.h.i.+ng it with mud to get the poison off of it.

"My mother gave this to me for my 4th birthday. I'm sorry I am not letting this go" She said while she started cleaning it.

"Ya there intention was you would put that neckless on, cry, and reactivate the poison, and maybe lick your fingers or touch your eyes and it would have been all over for you" Zephyr explained to her.

"Oh, I never thought about that" She said as she starts rinsing off the neckless.

When it was clean Zephyr looked at it and gave her a thumbs up. She then puts it on. They grab some more bags and move back into the and start cleaning up all the Trash again on the inside being careful and looking for Traps that may have been set.

Meanwhile Ryan was asleep under the Tree listening to the song "Oh Calamity!" From All time low.

A woman with long straight blue hair walks over to him and lays down next to him and cuddles with him. She takes his phone and pauses the music She lays on his heart.

She then Kiss's him on his lips and the dream he has about being home on earth and the last time he hung out with his mother 9 months ago is interrupted by a calm soothing feeling. His Dream then Changes to him thinking about Liz, and a Hidden fantasy he has with her. The woman reads his dream. She see's her standing on his neck and beating the s.h.i.+t out of him, then him grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to him and kissing her while Vedra watches. Then in his dream when he Slides his hand up her skirt, The Person he is laying on top of changes to Zephyr. With Liz now watching him and Her do foreplay. She then goes off Bas.h.i.+ng on him how his sister was better than him, and happy, and follows the path of the lord. He gets Irritated in front of her and gets up.

"You always come all the way from Alabama to see me for 3 days just to b.i.t.c.h at me. Mom You are so f.u.c.king Judgmental. "Fine, you have a good point there" Ryan said while waking up and forgiving her. He looks over at his phone and sees the time. It was 2am.

'Since you are here, Can I get some tonight?" He asks her.

"Out here, or in your dreams?" She asked him seeming interested.

Citra maintains form and overpowers her and throws her off of her.

Zephyr then gets ready to draw her weapons, but realizes they are on the bottom of the Ocean. She then Shoots a Glare over at Liz. Citra then Strikes her while she was distracted and knocks her down and holds her arms behind her playfully. Zephyr then tries to get loose, but Citra was laughing.

"Chill out I didn't know he was taken, but If you want me to leave you alone with him, I'll let you deal with him privately." She tells Zephyr while patting her head like a Pet. This infuriates Her and she turns around and punches her in the face.

The punch felt soft to Citra, but at the same time Zephyr felt her super soft skin, and Cold skin. This freaked her out a little bit. But Citra just smiles at her and walks away giving Liz a wink.

Zephyr then walks over to Ryan and pulls him by s.h.i.+rt down to his Knees. She then Slaps him in the face.

"I Own your a.s.s and you want to go around feeling around other girls?" She screams as she shoves him down on his back.

"This is going to be our new home, so since you p.i.s.sed me off, I need you to use your Fire magic and start Burning down all this overgrown brush" She tells him while they pull him to the back yard.

"See these marks from when that chick held me down on the ground? I'll go tell Warren you a.s.saulted me in the morning and that's it your a.s.s is Queen Lake's, not mine anymore" She Tells him in a crazy tone.

"Ugg d.a.m.n it Zephyr!" Ryan Screams in anger. He then goes Stomping in rage and starts casting Fireball and starts setting the back yard on fire. The dead Dry brush burns with ease. He sits back down and watches the flames he's just let out of his Heart burn the out of control brush on the property line. He casts 3 Fireb.a.l.l.s and Burns the 3 side of the yard. He even casts [Detonate] in rage on a Dead tree and makes it explode. The wood goes flying into the water, and then he sits back ant watches the property line burn down.

Liz was on the back side of the Fire casting [Shockwave] and putting the fire out before it gets out of control, and Zephyr was inside cleaning the Kitchen up from the ma.s.sacre. The Fire coming from the Backyard gave her excellent light through the windows. When the back yard was torched and all that was left was ambers and dead gra.s.s. When He Gets back inside Zephyr laid down the blanket and the 1 pillow he had on the floor.

"So, here is the Deal, this house is basically a mess, so we are going to be Sleeping in the living room. Don't go sleeping in any of the rooms, we don't know whats in the beds. There is basically Gla.s.s and a whole bunch of other things in the rooms as well. Don't leave the living room until we clean it all up okay? Liz asks Ryan with a Serious Tone.

Liz and Zephyr didn't want to tell him about the ma.s.sacre here for Personal Reasons but didn't want him to go out and hop in a bed that may be b.o.o.by Trapped.

He shrugs his shoulder and looks at the Candle lit room He lays down and Zephyr appears in front of him in her night gown. She lays behind him and Throws her arms around him, as Liz laid behind her.

He wonders Why the h.e.l.l this Clingy chick won't give up on him. He was caught doing 3rd base with Citra, or in this case, in her human form, with some random Stranger.

He needed this Hug today after work, and it was just so weird no matter how much they fought her hug had some weird calming effect on him. Liz couldn't roll off this small blanket because the floor was surrounded by broken Gla.s.s, so she wants something to take her mind off of this Annoying Torture from their Co-Dependent Love/Hate Relations.h.i.+p.

"Ryan Would you happen to have a song, about a Mansion, and maybe… have the song talk about people That may have "Died" in said mansion? Not that it happened here or anything like that, just out of curiosity" She asked him while realizing she almost blew their little secret.

"Uh Ya I do, here" He said as he pulls out his phone and pulls up YouTube. He types in "Beautiful Thieves" From AFI and puts on the Music video and hands her the phone while zephyr continues to whop Liz in the head as she Watches her Music Video.

Ryan ends up falling asleep before the video was over on Zephyrs chest while she was purring.

Liz watches the video and Cries. She feels like that's almost exactly what happened here in this house. She watches the video over again with Zephyr and she comforts her. They end up all falling asleep on Zephyr again like what happened on the beach. An hour later, Ryan Wakes up Feeling a Calming Aura near him, He Feels Citra Nearby but ignores it. He goes back to sleep.

She meanwhile was laying on the roof of the House Crying in her Succubus Form Humming Beautiful Thieves with a Heavy Heart.
