Lucky Unluckiest 17 Chapter Seventeen

It's Friday. Finally. Last working day. But I am not in the mood to move a single muscle of my body. I just want to lay here all day and listen to Kiss The Rain by Yiruma. Trust me I'm not that much into music but his music is something else. It caresses my soul.

But no, I'll go since I really need to get done with my group work. It's been a long time and we're not done with it yet. I rubbed my eyes and got off the bed. I followed my daily routine and got ready for the day. The moment I was about to leave the house, Liam called me telling me to wait for him and then I had no choice but to wait so I closed the main door and waited for him outside.

After some time a car came. It was Liam's. Liam doesn't usually uses his car, because one time when he was little he and his family met an accident and his mother almost met the deathbed, so he's kind of afraid of cars.

I was surprised to see him in his car and made my way to it.

"Get in" he told me.

I nodded and sat in the front seat. "Are you alright?" I asked him.

"Yeah, why, what's wrong?" he turned to me while he started his car. "Dude, you driving a car is what's wrong. You don't really drive. Then why now?"

"It's alright. I have made my mind to it." He smiled.

"Mind to what?"

"To face and overcome my fears."

After a moment of silence I cleared my throat.

"Logan, my dad told me that at a point or a two I have to face my fears no matter how hard I try to escape it, so why not to overcome it so when I really have to face the hards.h.i.+p I'll be strong enough to face and endure them."

I was looking at him and he seemed so different from the usual Liam. The usual Liam was funny, weird, reckless and always happy.

But this one looked more like serious, motivating and looked like her really wanted to overcome his fears.

This Liam looked warm. Showing his true feelings. Maybe this was the real Liam.

I was looking at him and I was happy inside that my friend is trying to overcome his fears. It made me think about myself. What if I try to overcome mine? What if I try to open and listen to my heart once? How much will my life change?

Thinking all about overcoming myself, my insecurities and my fears we reached there. Getting out of the car with Liam, thinking to begin a brand new start the first face I could see was of Sophia laughing in front of the college with her Isabelle and just like always I couldn't take my eyes off her. Why does she make it so hard? It's harder to breath around her. I should make my way inside with Liam. I quickly went inside without her noticing.

Suddenly a question popped in my mind that does she thinks about me like I do? Wait. No. she shouldn't. And why would she? There's not a chance she'll think the same way specially about me and even she does, I am not a person to get in a relations.h.i.+p with because of my cruelly scratched fortune. and no I don't think that way either about her. The moment I was out of my thoughts I saw myself standing in front of the cla.s.s and saw Liam walking to his own.

I sometimes wonder does Liam get irritated by me? Like usually I am lost in my thoughts and we don't talk like other friends do. But it's alright he's my friend and we are supposed to stick with each other through thick and thins.

I made my way in the back of the cla.s.s like I always do and covered my head with my hoodie so I can keep my eyes off Sophia. She's becoming a distraction for me and I feel like it's no good.

Soon other students made their way in and the bell rung and I tried my best to keep my eyes off Sophia.

SOPHIA

I made my way in the cla.s.s with Isabelle. This day is going great, full of laughter. I hope that my rest of the day goes like this.

I, with Isabelle entered the room and sat where we usually do.

As soon as I sat, some guys and girls came to us and talking just like yesterday. I felt good. Finally I am making some friends.

I kept up my conversation with them when Miss Melanie came to the cla.s.s and everybody rushed to their seats. As soon as she came she asked us about our a.s.signment and my eyes widened. 's.h.i.+tt, I almost forgot about it.'

I looked at the back to Logan but he was looking at the teacher and he didn't move his eyes to me. I think I need to talk to him about the a.s.signment and we need to get done with it. I searched for Noah, Jacob and Emma. I did find Jacob and Emma but I couldn't find Noah.

Right after when the bell rung I ran towards Emma.

"Hey." She looked at me with amus.e.m.e.nt.

"Hey...umm do you know Noah is?"

"Yeah, Noah is absent, why?"

"Absent?!"

"Anyways we need to get done with our a.s.signment please." I continued.

"Yeah, I was just coming to you." Then I searched for Logan and I couldn't find him. "Hey Emma, please look for Jacob and wait for me in the library." I told her and she nodded.

I went out of the cla.s.s in search for Logan.

I kept looking for a tall guy wearing probably a dark colored s.h.i.+rt. Logan, Logan where are you? That little voice in my head kept saying while I was searching for him. I am pretty sure he must in the cafeteria with his friend Liam. I made my way towards cafeteria and I saw Liam alone there sitting.

"Hey, Liam do you know where Logan is?" I jogged to him. "Oh, Hi. Well I can't find him anywhere either so I thought he must be with you."

"With me? What made you think that?"

"Well, he's always around you and you know the best way to find him is to find you because he's always near you." Okay. That's awkward.

"Umm.. Well that's not true. By the way have you tried calling him?"

"Yup but he's not answering."

"Give me his number."

Give me your phone." I handed him my phone and he started dialing the number and called him. He put the phone on speakers.

The bell was ringing; "Well I don't think he's going to answer an unknown nu--" His sentence was cut by a "h.e.l.lo?" from Logan. "Well he did." I whispered loud enough. I took the phone from Liam's hand and turn off the speakers and walked away. "Umm... Logan it's me 'Sophia'."

There was a 10 second silence, then Logan spoke "Yes, Sophia what's the matter?"

"There-I-I- Wee-" Why am I hesitating so much!? "Well I think we need to get done with our a.s.signment as soon as possible." I rapped it all under a breath.

"Yes, a.s.signment, yes. Meet you in the library in 5 minutes, alright?" he answered. "Yes! That'd be great, everyone is already there." I replied and shut the phone. I rushed to the library praying that I get there before Logan does because I don't know why things are getting weirder day by day with Logan. When I reached the library Emma was looking for someone so desperately. I waved at her and she let out a sigh of relieve. "Where were you?" she asked. "it's been more than 10 minutes since you told us to wait in the library."

"I am terribly sorry Emma, I couldn't find Logan."

"Where is he now?"

"He's Coming."

And we made our way to our usual spot.
