"Yeah, and when that happens, will you marry my mom so that we will be one family?" the child's eyes are so hopeful that he could not say no to him.

"Yes, of course. We will be one joyful family. But did your mother say that she will agree to marry me?" Ingrid rolled her eyes in defense.

"Oh, that's right, mom. You have to agree!" Clark is pressing his mother to agree as if they are just buying his new toy.

"Clifford and I still have to talk about it, okay?"

"Yay!! But I know you will agree. Grandmas will be happy to know this. I will go and tell them.." the child left them running to the house.

"Why did you tell him that? I don't want my son to have false hope. And mind you, it seems that you are too positive that you are 'my' son's father."

"Because it is the truth, I am his father." He said confidently.

"Oh, c.r.a.p! Will you stop your declaration? We really don't know what will happen tomorrow."

"Well, I'm just stating facts, the evidences were clearly presented, and we only need one final confirmation."

Knowing that the events are draining her energy, she just ignores his a.s.sumptions and diverted their topic.

"Uhm, about everything, I wanna know why did you make that agreement with your father? Are you certain that you will not lose?"

"Well, I have to take risks. Whether I win or not, I will still be the winner in the end." She softly laughs. Clifford narrowed his eyes.

"What does it mean?"

"Hmmm... you'll know it after the DNA result. Hahahaha I have thoroughly thought about it and I just realize that it's a win-win situation."

"How could you do that?" Clifford shakes his head because he could not believe what a clever this woman could be.

"Do what?" Ingrid was puzzled.

"That you could still think that you could still win despite that the odds are great against you. We both know that there's a big chance that you will lose to your father's agreement but there you are laughing and still could see the silver lining. I admire your courage. And I like that feisty side of yours." His eyes are glowing with warmth towards the woman.

Clifford's admiration to the woman grows each day ever since they work closer to each other. 'Is this still an admiration I am feeling, or something more?' Clifford brooded over.

"Oh? That's... well, thanks!"

Ingrid was stunned when she heard Clifford's remark about her feisty nature, thinking back most men she meets does not like that, only a few would admire her that side of hers but most of them would try to shake it off from her and would often try to change her to be a prim and proper kind of a lady.

The two women sat side by side with their husband. Clint was the one who broke the announcement.

"Ingrid agreed to do the DNA test. Later this evening the experts will be here and get samples from them."

"And Ingrid and I made into an agreement, that if the result proves that Clifford is the father of her son, she should marry him. And if the result proves that he is not the father I will give the company to her and I will no longer pressure her to get married." John added.

"John, if Clifford is the father and they both get married, will you still give the company to Ingrid?" John was caught off guard, his eyes bulge in surprise.

Then Clint laughed.

"hahaha your daughter outsmarted you John. That's one of the reasons I really wanted her as my daughter-in-law even if I did not know that I have a son." Clint's eyes reflected pleasure.

"You really raised your daughter very well, Rose. The daughters of the families I know were just after make ups, shopping, chasing after men, travelling and doesn't care about their family's business. I am so glad that she is your daughter. She is very smart, very kind, at the same time brave and very beautiful. The kind of woman my son needs."
