"I need some allies...but before I could find these people, I need to run after that traitor." The mastermind dialled a number and instructed to find Robert and his daughter.

"Bring them alive." The mastermind demanded.

After Robert's confession, he was released and was given a reward. He kept his promise that he'll go away with his daughter and will never come back to Diamond country.

Despite the pain he's feeling because of the injuries he got, he ignored it so that he could get away from the country as soon as possible. He asked his acquaintance to change his ident.i.ty as well as his daughter. He got new pa.s.sports for them and decided to go to a certain place no one knew them so that they could live a new life.

When he reached their worn out apartment, his daughter is patiently waiting for his arrival. Everytime he has an underground work, he will leave her with the old lady neighbour beside their apartment.

"Father, you're finally here, I miss you. I wasn't scared even if I'm alone..." his daughter smiled cheerfully.

Her big brown eyes are eagerly waiting for her father's reply. She's wearing the shabby clothes and worn out shoes her mother bought her before she pa.s.sed away.

But Robert ignored his daughter's cheerfulness; instead he faced her with serious tone.

"Listen, Karyle, we need to travel abroad and never come back here. I need you to pack your important things. I am expecting no questions from you until we safely landed to another country. I owe you an explanation, but not now. Go hurry!"

The child followed her father's order right away. Her innocent mind bore many questions what is happening again, because they have been on the run the moment she gained understanding with her surroundings, but she chose to obey her father. She'll just ask him later. She was already getting used to transfer from house to house and from place to place which in turn she did not gain new friends.

"Father, I'm ready." But her father put his point finger on his lips.

They heard several footsteps coming to their apartment and stopped just outside their door. Robert carried his daughter and they went at the back of their apartment without making a sound. Unfortunately, they could not easily pa.s.s through because someone is guarding the way.

"Father, I discovered a secret pa.s.sage a while ago, I think you can fit in that..." the child pointed to a wall that is covered with climbing plants and garbage. It looked like a waste heap.

Robert looked everywhere before he entered the hole and slowly covered it. The hole stinks with sewage. Robert made sure that their money and their pa.s.sports are intact. Midway their escape, he heard some men yelling.

"They are not here. They've escaped!" The man cursed. "Continue searching, I know they're still near." But the man's eyes caught something. He went to the wall and pushed it. To his surprise it opened and a stinking smell welcomed him.

"Aggghh!! I think they pa.s.s through here. Hurry to find out where's the other side of this stinky hole."

Robert and Karyle reached the end of the hole. They are both covered with sewage and they smell horribly. Karyle looks at her father and she chuckles secretly as she looks at him covered with mud. Her father then carried her and went inside a house and luckily there's water enough for them to wash away their stinky smell.

They changed clothes and hurriedly went to the airport. They boarded a plane that will take them to Vienna, the place where they will settle for good far from the life they lived in Diamond country. For the first time in his life, Robert slept peacefully with his daughter.

The next day after their wedding...

Ingrid woke up when she felt some hands caressing her face. Her eyes slowly open and she saw Clifford's face only an inch away from her. Clifford greeted her first with a kiss.

"Good morning wife?" she blushed at their position.

She's hugging her husband on his waist, while she made his arms her pillow. Clark moved like a clock that he ended up at his father's left leg which he is currently hugging.

"Good morning, Cliff..." she blushed and still could not say any endearment to her husband just yet. She then s.h.i.+fted her gaze to their son, "...oh my..." Ingrid chuckled at the sight of their son.

Ingrid wanted to reach her son so that he could sleep comfortably beside them, however, Clifford pulled her to his embrace and again kissed her pa.s.sionately. Ingrid's body stiffened at the sensation the kiss is giving her. Nevertheless, she likes the feeling of it. It is gently rough, hungry yet restrained.

Clifford's hand started to roam around her body to calm her. He knew that his wife needs to be prepared for their honeymoon. He slowly pulled away and they both gasp for air.

"We all have the time we need for our honeymoon, there's no need to rush, my love." Clifford said and then he planted a kiss on her forehead.

"Thank you..." then Ingrid responded back by kissing Cliff on his nose.

Then they felt a movement on their feet. Clark crawled and settled himself at the middle of his parents and again went back to his sleep.
