Gary immediately accompanied Vanessa outside the room and led her to a secluded area, handing her the doc.u.ments Clifford was referring to. Her eyes widen when she finished reading the contents.

"What is the meaning of this, Gary?" she's fuming mad.

"It is what it is, Miss Reiley. The VeanCo will no longer collaborate with your company. Don't worry, the VeanCo has already attached the penalty for breaching the contract." Gary formally informed.

"I know that idiot! Why is he cancelling our collaboration! I don't care about the penalty I have tons of it. Why??? What did I do???!!!" she shouted at him but Gary remained unfazed.

"I have no idea, Ma'am, I am just a lowly servant." He bowed his head and Vanessa knew he could not rant to Clifford's secretary because it'll just make the matters worse. So she composed herself and then she put on a pleading façade.

"Gary, I-I'm sorry for shouting at you, it's just I was so surprise at this sudden change. I don't know what I did that caused Clifford to cancel our collaboration. I fear that it'll be a huge blow to the VeanCo." She still thinks that it will be VeanCo's loss if they cancel the partners.h.i.+p.

"Again, Miss Reiley, I am just executing what my boss' order. I have no power to change his mind regarding this. But if in case he changes his mind, we'll call you, but for now, just don't appear before him."

"I don't deserve this treatment!" she protested but Gary ignored her rant.

"I…I-I'm sorry…" she wanted to cry.

"You're pitiful to look at." The voice said. Then she looked around but she could not see anyone except a black car parked afar off and had a darkly tinted.

"What are you staring at?"

"Can I come over? I am so scared and Clifford cancelled our collaboration." she asked.

"What?! You are stupid, really! Do everything so that he will trust you again. Their security is tighter now,"

"But you've already hurt them."

"Nope! I'm not yet satisfied. I still have one full blow!" and the voice laughed evilly which send goose b.u.mps to her nape.

"Thank you for coming in such a short notice." McQueen began.

"What's this important information you want to tell us?" Griffith asks impatiently.

The two men froze as they look at the pictures. Every pictures are connected to the mastermind.

"Yeah, I know, I know I'm that good." He grinned. "…and I've already sent men to tail that one." And he pointed one of the pictures just near the mastermind whose face is still a question mark.

"This person is the mastermind's recent p.a.w.n. While the very first p.a.w.n was already been held captive and interrogated and the man who was one of the young master's kidnapers is… in your midst." He looked at Griffith.

Griffith was alarmed. Vladimir is wide eyed.

Ingrid was highly secured in the ICU. Everyone who comes in are strictly checked by the bodyguards, no one can enter unless their faces are checked together with the hospital's ID, even the doctors who are checking her are not spared.

Clifford was sitting beside the bed where Ingrid was laid, holding her hand. He can't help it but to weep in silence.

Clark cried so hard when he knew about his parent's absence for a month and it pained more to see his son like this but he has no choice but to conceal everything to them. He'd often recollect the good times they have and how he loves her and misses her. He never leaves her place and since he wanted to be the first person whom Ingrid will look at the moment she opens her eyes, he unnoticeably grew his beard. Every night, he would be with Ingrid's side and would often sleep there and it's now become his habit to hold her hands so that he'll immediately wake up if she moves.

One night, while Clifford is close to doze himself to sleep beside her when he felt some stirring on the hand he's holding and he raise his head while he's half awake, looking at Ingrid's face and then he saw her precious wife's eyelids move.
