Ingrid stared intensely at her secretary. "And?..."

"The CEO instructed Freya to clear your schedule next week starting from Friday till Monday for a business trip.." Daisy waited for her boss to react but all she could see is her boss frowning and rolling of her eyes.

"That brute! He's really getting into my nerves!" she muttered silently. Then she chose to make a professional facade before her secretary.

"Do it as he says." She responded nonchalantly and she dismissed her secretary.

After her secretary left, she called Liane.

Before Ingrid called Liane, she received a text from the restaurant's manager. She almost fell from her seat after she read the information.

"OH. MY. G.o.d!!!" Liane screamed as if there's a fire. Her husband hurriedly went to her catching his breath.

"What happened???"

"Honey, read this!" she then handed her phone to her husband.

Frank smiled after reading the message. "...what a sophisticated move you have, buddy! I should invite him for a drink one of these days. I think he has no idea what has gotten into him."

"The same for my sis, she really has no idea about what has gotten into her. She would often tell me lately that someone is getting into her nerves and never mentioned who it is. I am so happy for my best friend, honey. She has found for herself a fine man."

"mmm.. we should not celebrate yet, knowing how difficult my best buddy will undergo to pursue your Ingrid."Frank laugh to himself.

Liane then remembered the second man who totally broke her best friend's heart.

"How I want to smash that beast's face!"

Liane's phone rings. She saw her bestfriend's name on the screen and motioned to her husband to be quiet.

"Sis!" Liane answered excitedly.

"You seem happy?"

"Well, I just received a good news from someone... by the way, why did you call? Is there 'someone' bothering you?" Liane grinned on the other line.

"Someone's getting into my nerves today; he is such a brute and keeps on sticking up my nose..." Liane could imagine her friend's nose flaring up of anger. Liane chuckled.

"And who will be that lucky guy who caught up your attention?"

"How do you know that it's a man?"

'Oopppsss... I almost got caught.' Liane almost choked. "...Well, as far as I know you're not that easily bothered by anyone except..." she left her words hanging to tease her best friend.

"Are you kidding me, I'm not like that!" instead of being relieved her irritation grew more. "...I'll hang up!" she snapped. Again, Liane laughed on the other line.

"Woahh easy sis... who is it? If you need my help I'll go directly to your office and I'll back you up..."

"Oh never mind. Bye!"

Liane is laughing so hard after Ingrid hang up.

Ingrid's parents are now going back to the Vierra, she and her son accompanied them to the airport where Lance was already waiting. Ever since that night, Lance and her did not have the chance to meet because she became busy preparing for the trip's business proposal and finis.h.i.+ng some of the doc.u.ments.

They all entered the pa.s.senger's VIP room. John Howard is carrying his grandson while Ingrid and her mom walked side by side.

"We will really miss you and your son. Hope you will visit us soon..." her mother dearly hopes that she will listen to her plea.

"I will not promise mom when but I will visit you both mom..." her son heard her.

"Mommy, I'll come with you when you visit grandpa and grandma right?"

"Oh yes, my boy. I won't leave you behind."
