"Who is Clark's father?" she went blank from his question and contemplated what will be her answer. But then she realize, 'why would I need to answer him?' So she did not respond.

"Ingrid! Why are you not answering?"

"I don't know, okay? And I don't have to know." Clifford was puzzled with her answer.

"What do you mean you don't know or you don't have to know? Is this some kind of joke?"

"It's none of your business, besides why do you seems to care? Are we really in a business trip? Or you are just going to interrogate me with my personal life? Remember this: you are just my boss, not my husband nor my child's father."

"And what if I am this child's father?" Clifford's demeanour changed.

"You? A father? Ha! That will be impossible! Nonsense! No one will buy it." Ingrid shook her head, challenging him.

Little did she knew that Clifford was already near her and in the spur of the moment, he cupped her face and kissed her roughly. Ingrid tried to wriggle from his hold, but the more she struggles the more he tightened his grip. She stopped resisting and then slowly his rough kiss became gentle and even her was slowly drawn by it, melting her every bit of consciousness and her wall of defense slowly put down.

But alarm bells ring, her eyes suddenly lit up and noticed that his hold is lose and as he is also drag by the kiss, Ingrid then pulls herself away from him and slapped his face without hesitation.

"How dare you kissed me in front of my son!" Clifford touched his reddening face, his mind is still in buzz for the kiss and as well as the slap.

He then looked at the child. "He is still asleep. He didn't witnessed it." Instead of getting angry, he grinned. Ingrid was about to slap him again but he warned her, "...if you slap me again, I will not only kiss you, but I'll give Clark a baby sister..." his grin became even wider.

"Pervert!!! Get out!!! Out!!!" Instead of slapping him, she threw the pillows from the couch on him, Clifford laughed.

"I won't apologize for the kiss darling, instead, I thank you." He teased but when he saw that Ingrid was about to throw the expensive vase to him, Clifford hurriedly get out from the room.

"Breakfast will arrive any minute, feel free to come here and eat with me." Clifford shouted from outside the bedroom.

"Shut up!!" Then she heard him whistling a tune.

Clifford felt so young and alive after what he did. "Oh! This is what we call mixing business with pleasure." He mused grinning from ear to ear. He knew that Ingrid is sulking in anger right now. "...aahh I miss this kind of feeling.."

Who would have thought that this will happened? He never planned to stay with Ingrid in one suite but fate arranged it plus the child is with them. The thought of Clark gives him more energy for that day and his whistle turned into a song, the song Ingrid and him shared on that fateful night.
