After having dinner with Jay Chou and Director Han, she asked Shen Linqin that she would drive her home. However Shen Linqin already booked a cab. Once she saw Shen Linqin boarded the cab, she also headed to her car.

She didn't mention what happened with Jian Ran to Shen Linqin. She didn't want to make her worry. She kept it to herself since she still had to find out who was behind Jian Ran. Unless she was sure, she wouldn't tell anything to anyone. She even told Director Han to keep what happened to themselves.

After her photo shoot yesterday, she managed to hack the cctv cameras inside and outside the studio. It was easy since she only had to copy the footages from the server. She just needed to be careful of Producer Zhang.

She sighed as she shrugged the incident out of her head. When she opened her car, she was shocked to see a box in the pa.s.senger seat. It was about 20 centimeter tall and 31 centimeter wide. It had a very peculiar color. She couldn't point out the color. It was like a purplish crimsoned color. There was also a black ribbon tied to it.

Instead of going inside, she closed the car door and dialed Shen Linqin's number, "Linqin, did you leave the box inside the car?"

"What box? I didn't leave any box there, Li-jie."

"Are you sure? Try to remember. Maybe you just forgot about it?"

"I really don't remember anything, Li-jie. I'm sure of it. There's no box there earlier."

She anxiously hung up the phone and glanced at the box inside her car. How in the world did that get into her car? When they arrived at Koppa Bombana, it wasn't there. Could it be that it was put there while they were dining inside? Did it have anything to do with the person trying to scare her?

Xu Jia Li felt a s.h.i.+ver ran through her whole body. She wasn't afraid to face her enemy but not knowing who the enemy was made her terrified.

She immediately dialed Si Weimin's number. The moment she heard his voice, she felt a bit calmer, "Jia, are you home?"

"I'm still in the parking lot of Koppa Bombana. Can you come here?" she tried her best to sound normal so to avoid Si Weimin from worrying.

"Did something happen?"

As if sensing that something's off, Si Weimin asked her that. She lied when she answered, "No, nothing's wrong. I just want you to –"

"I'll be there. Wait for me, go inside the restaurant first."

The moment Si Weimin arrived, he immediately called Xu Jia Li. He stood in front of her car as he examined it. He checked the wheels to see if no one tampered on it. Making sure that it was okay, he heaved a sigh of relief.

Earlier, when Xu Jia Li called him, he was frightened. He was glad that she called him.

"Weimin-ge…"

Hearing Xu Jia Li's mellifluous voice, he turned around and closed the gap between them. He hugged her so tight, only then that his heart returned back to its normal rhythm, "I'm really worried about you. I'm glad you're alright."

"I'm really okay," Xu Jia Li muttered in between laughter.

"Yeah, I'm glad that you are."

"B-but, I called you because there's something inside my car."

Si Weimin stared with confused look at Xu Jia Li, "What do you mean?"

Instead of answering, Xu Jia Li led him towards her car. She opened it before she pointed a box on the pa.s.senger seat.

"What's that?" Si Weimin asked before he took the box out of the car. He felt a bit anxious as he tried to open it.

"Be careful, honey."

He only gave a rea.s.suring smile before he proceeded to open the box. His eyes grew big as they protruded before he closed it again.

The hair on his back stood as he stiffened like a log on the spot.
