Lan Meixu worriedly looked at Xu Jia Li before she continued, "Last night, news about you and news about Li Yun broke out…" Lan Meixu explained everything about the articles. She didn't hide anything including the outraged fans.

After she finished, she asked, "What should we do about the audition for Si Cosmetics? People now believe the rumors since you didn't pa.s.s the initial selection. I still couldn't believe the result and I know that someone played a dirty trick behind our backs. It's really unbelievable."

"Yes, Li-jie. All your previous rumors were stated there. I hate how they made it look like those were true. They even said that you're not really capable that's why you envy Qi Xenjin. They slander you saying all nasty things about you." cried Shen Linqin.

"Don't fret, Linqin." Xu Jia Li chuckled before she turned towards Lan Meixu, "Just leave that to me, Meixu-jie. Don't be so rattled."

"Hmm, okay, if you say so. Anyway, it was also disclosed that you are the reason it happened to Li Yun. Director Jiang and Head Quan called me. They wanted to know the truth. They are really worried."

An evil smile flashed across Qi Xenjin's face after reading the news. She just received a message from Hui Ruo asking her if she was behind it. She only smirked as she ignored her messages and calls.

Then suddenly, the event that happened yesterday ran through her – a flashback that reminded her of her brilliance.

On her way to Li Yun's house, Qi Xenjin saw Manager Ho's car. On instinct, she followed him and was confused when they arrived in front of a private hospital.

Qi Xenjin followed Manager Ho until she saw him parked his car on a spot at the back of the hospital.

Qi Xenjin was about to drive away thinking it was a waste of time when she saw him carrying Li Yun's duffel bag. Curiosity got the best of her as she left her car and continued to tail Manager Ho.

Inside the hospital, no one seemed to pay her any attention because she wore her mask and baseball cap. She never once took her sight away from Manager Ho, leaving enough distance for her not to be seen.

However, when Manager Ho entered the elevator, Qi Xenjin didn't know what to do. She rushed straight to the elevator but she was too late.

"d.a.m.n!" Qi Xenjin cursed as she looked above, waiting to see what floor the elevator would stop.

Meanwhile, two young nurses arrived in front of Qi Xenjin. They were whispering with each other as they waited for the elevator. They kept giggling as they spoke softly,

"Yeah, I heard he was admitted last night. He's really handsome even with all those bruises on his face."

"Shhh, be quiet. No one must know that Li Yun is here. Haven't you heard that it's a secret? No one even knows who he fought with last night to get all those bruises."

Having heard Li Yun's name, Qi Xenjin's eyes narrowed. She slowly moved forward as she listened to what they were saying.

"Yes, he's really beaten black and blue. I feel bad for him."

"That's true. They said it's because of Xu Jia Li since her a.s.sistant was here last night. Tss! Do you think the rumor that Li Yun likes Xu Jia Li is true?"

"Yeah, I think it's true. Anyway, I'll see him later when Dr. Xia checks on him. I wonder if I could get an autograph."

Qi Xenjin's face darkened after she heard what the two young nurses said. Without waiting for the elevator, she immediately left the hospital.

w.a.n.g Guo stopped for a moment, without any response from Si Weimen, he continued, "And CEO, we couldn't find any information about the so-called nurse who posted that Ms. Xu was the reason Mr. Li was in that condition."

"Then should I hire someone more competent to do the job?" Si Weimin sternly said.
