Masked Girl And Her Prince 37 Chapter 37: Realization

A loud clang sound rang in the air, gasps echoing in the field. The force of the attack made the dust fly, obstructing their view.

"Cough...Cough"

Jinha coughed slightly while he peeked through his eye trying to figure out the situation.

Abruptly, a gale of wind swept in and cleared their view. The sight before them stunned them thoroughly as they stayed rooted to the ground with their jaws wide open.

A few minutes ago.

"LIZZ.... WATCH OUT!!!"

The loud shout startled Liz out of her wits. She saw a lean built figure rush up to her from the corner of her eyes and grab her arm and tug her towards him.

She felt herself swirl a little and looked up at the broad chest of the guy who had his arms wrapped around her waist, protecting her and preventing her from stepping out of his human s.h.i.+eld.

She sighed, "Prince Zelal, Let go of me."

Zelal looked down at the beauty in his arms. If it was any other day, he would have rejoiced about the fact that she knew his name and was in his arms.

But not today....

He shook his head and vehemently said, "No" while tightening his arms around her.

Liz frowned and struggled to get out of his hold. But, this stubborn man held onto her, not moving an inch.

She knitted her eyebrows as she thought, 'Argh! Why is he unshakeable. Just how strong is this guy!'

She pursed her lips angrily as she rebuked, "I don't need your protection." and shoved him aside forcefully.

Zelal gritted his teeth as he said, "Why are you being stubborn! You fool!"

Liz glared at him as she placed her arms on her waist.

"Who are you to call me a fool?!"

Zelal turned his head away as he exhaled angrily.

He shouted, " If I was late by a minute, what do you think would have happened?!"

Liz was shaken by his sudden outburst. She could see the anger, uneasiness, relief all in his eyes. It puzzled her greatly on why he was reacting also strongly and on why she was bickering with him like a small kid.

"Pffft ---"

She heard sudden laughter by her side and glanced at Jinha to see him clutching his waist with one hand and the other covering his mouth. His face was flushed as he clamped his mouth to hold in his laughter.

Jinha was enjoying seeing Liz's turmoil. It was his first time seeing her lose her composure. What made him more glad was on seeing Zelal's reaction.

He couldn't believe that the brothers had to fall for the devils. He couldn't resist but laugh out loud when he heard him call her a fool.

Sensing her scowl, he flashed her smile and said, " Don't jump at him before you know the situation."

He glanced at her side, knowing fully well how much she would regret las.h.i.+ng out at Zelal.

Liz frowned but followed his gaze to only be stunned.

She staggered back in shock but Zelal caught her, enveloping her in his arms.

Liz ignored him and the position she was in. She stared at the crack made on the spot she was standing moments ago and turned to look at the person who blocked the attack.

Present time.

She stared at Freya astonished by the situation. Freya had her dagger clas.h.i.+ng with the two lieutenants, Adam and Eve.

She glanced at the lieutenant's hands which had somehow transformed into big claws. She easily noticed from the position Freya stood that both of them planned on attacking her.

Liz gulped as she thought, 'That was a close call...I didn't even sense them behind me.

She let out her breath slowly and then realised the position she was in. Her face burned as she could feel his strong chest and his heart thumping hard.

She shrugged his hands and marched towards Jinha without looking at Zelal.

Zelal looked at his hands and sighed. He could still feel her softness. Only he knew how much he wanted to take her away from the battle. But, he also knew the girl he loved wouldn't like it.

Yes! the girl he loved!

Zelal recognized his feelings were more than just curiosity. He was glad that he realised his feelings before losing her. No one would understand his emotions when he saw the demons lash out an attack in her direction, who had her back faced against them.

He didn't think much before he hugged her and preparing to take on the attack. He was surprised when he didn't feel anything and gaped at Freya who blocked the attack.

He saw her flash him a smile, thanking him for protecting her friend.

When Jinha saw Liz marching towards him like a robot. He grinned at her, teasing him to which she pinched him hard.

'Ouch! woman.. that hurts' he complained silently while he watched Zelal awkwardly scratch his nose.

Instantly, as if planned beforehand, everyone glanced at Freya, just to see her push both of them backwards and stand protectively in front of them.
