Arachnomancer 45 Husk

Hmmmm.... The young master is very odd. Instead of killing the intruder he let her live. After a while I got to see something ridiculous though. She disappeared without a trace. Most beings leave behind residual energy when they are teleported or moved. This though..... It's like she was erased from existence..... That can't be right.

I start using the various observation skills that I have aquired over the years and then I see it. Over the young master, a spider is floating. It is entirely red with only circles of black indicating that it has eyes. It is swallowing the body of that intruder. After a few seconds its body bulges as it gets her down and not long after, an egg is layed. A transparent white egg.

A few minutes after the young master seems to have decided something and, nods his head as the egg changes color and cracks. Just before it hatches the spider turns to me and tilts its head. Malady needs to know of this!!!.....??? What? What does malady need to know? I was watching young master catch an intruder.... After that? Memory modification. How? I must inform malady of this matter. For something to be able to do that to me.... It cannot be good.

"Something modified your memory? Something that resides around Gin..... It.... couldn't be right? Let me check real quick...." Sillith

Malady seems to have an idea of what it could be. She tried to undo the modification but, it seems that the memories were entirely erased. I await her orders as this matter can't be simple.

"It seems that it is not much of an issue, Aein. It should be my old husk. After I obtained this body I had to leave my old one behind. From what I can tell the husk seems to have found it's way to Gin and fused with his cla.s.s." Sillith

"Then it is nothing to worry about then. I just wonder how it could have found him so soon. The husk must have fused with his cla.s.s right when he formed it...." Aein

"Heeee~ I'm not surprised. Only natural instincts~" Sillith

Natural instincts? I shouldn't ask. I would probably have my memory erased again.

"Thankfully, I didn't cut connections with my husk. Now, I can watch from close up heee~..... I still need you to watch him though." Sillith

She speaks in a weird feminine tone and, then switches back to a monotone one to tell me to resume my duties.

Gin POV-

The options brought up this time are interesting.

4. Cabbage

Lets just go down the order of these things. First is another sin, pride. That is a definite nope. I can imagine a ma.s.sive amount of problems with that choice. Next is draconic.... Something to do with dragons? Well, she was a lizard person.... Actually, thinking on it, I never got her name..... Anyways draconic seems to be the only viable choice as I see hatred being the third. I wonder what that asterisk beside it means?

Onto the second aspect. For some reason, there are four choices..... Gonna ignore that last one.... I don't undestand what human/fungal means but, the human part is a good choice. b.e.s.t.i.a.l is an odd one. It should be something like a wild aspect I think. Faceless.... I don't have good experiences with faceless creatures so I will cut that choice off as well.

So the choices I'll go with is draconic and human/fungal? Would that be three aspects?.... Probably not. The human/fungal aspect is probably fused to a heavy degree.

As I confirm my choices I hear a weird gloop. I look down to see a small mushroom sprout from the ground. Blue with white spots.

More start sprouting, leaving me a bit stunned

A ma.s.sive one sprouts but, it morphs into.... a humanoid figure? Well not quite. Instead of human legs it has eight spider legs sticking out the bottom of its torso. Similar to an arachne but, it is missing the lower spider body. Thick blue and white scales start to cover it's body, making it look even more bizzare. The only part that isn't covered in scales is her head. Similar to the previous lizard person but with more fat. She was probably starved as a slave so her features before were rather gaunt.

Scales are present around her eyes but, only a few. Her hair which was previously filled with mud is a white blue as well. Reminds me of Xelu when she was a harpy except that the new broodmother's hair is shoulder legth and curled at the ends instead of straight and long. Her eyes are different though as all eight look at me with confusion. Similar to Kess she has human eyes but that is more reasonable as she is a.... Humanoid?

Similar to Vulki she has an incredible figure.... Not that I'm into draconic, fungal, spider people. Thankfully, the scales cover all the important places. She comes closer to me with an even more confused look.

"What?" ?????

How do I answer that? Hmmmm.... Perhaps I will take Xelu's earlier advice into account.

"Can I have some help Vulki, this is probably going to take a lot of explai-" Gin

I look over at Vulki to see her eyes burning while also giving off a weird feeling. She runs over and, tries to grab various parts of the new broodmother. Her hands just phase through as she can't touch anything though....

Kess and Xelu are rather curious as they start examining her as well. Finally Vulki faces me and looks rather down.

"This will take a lot of explaining. You don't need to worry about her flipping out though. We have a heavy bond with you from the moment we are a.s.similated. She was at the end of her ropes before. I wouldn't have been suprised if she died from starvation, sickness, or from parasites not long after we captured her. She was rather weakened" Vulki

She didn't seem that bad when we captured her? Perhaps Vulki had a much better grasp on her condition than I did. Anyways, I should probably get her name. I ask her and she shudders and tells me that she only had an identification number.....

Well, I guess It's time to think of names huh....

A dragon name.... Nidhogg, Fafnir, Ouroboros.... Hmmm.... Not very nice dragons..... Dragons are not usually considered 'good' creatures for that matter..... I do remember a lot of different movies and such from my old world painting them in a pleasant fas.h.i.+on though.....

After thinking on it for a while I gave up on thinking of a dragon name due to the nature of dragons in general. So instead I decided on a name from a greek G.o.ddess. Nemesis or Neme for short.
