'This morning is so beautiful! I think i'll make breakfast.'

I grab my robe and head downstairs. Sitting at the counter is Ricky. He's carefully holding something in his arms,

"Ah Kaz, you're awake."

He turns around and shows that he's cradling a small baby.

"She woke up earlier and I got her. I wanted to let you sleep in a little longer."

"Um, who's kid?"

He chuckles,

"Real funny, you know she's ours."

'Ours? We have a child?'

A hot tingly feeling run through my veins,

"I'm a mother?"

"Kaz, Kaz wake up."

My eyes slowly open to the sight of Lina jumping on my bed,

"It was just a dream?"

"Tell me about it later, we've gotta go!"

"Oh my G.o.d!"

All the drunken memories from last night flood back into my head. I feel so stupid!

"Where's Ricky?"

"Downstairs but who cares?! We have to go!"

She yanks me out of bed and tosses me some

clothes.

"These aren't mine. You're in his dresser."

"Don't care, chop chop."

I have no energy to protest so I pull his s.h.i.+rt over my head and keep on my shorts.

"Ok, let's go."

"Finally!"

"Can you please tell me where the h.e.l.l we're going?"

She happily pats the steering wheel,

"Some new dresses where just delivered and I want you to try them on!"

"Wedding dresses?! Ahh, yay!"

"I know right? But we're not going to my boutique, we're headed to my house, so it's gonna be a long drive."

"Hmm, ok."

"Hey, why don't you tell me about that dream you mentioned earlier."

"Oh,"

Thinking about it again makes me blush,

"Well I had just woken up and went downstairs to make breakfast but Ricky was sitting at the counter with a baby in his arms. Our baby."

She squeals,

"KAZ, YES! YOU TWO NEED TO HAVE KIDS!"

"I don't know..."

"b.i.t.c.h, why not?!"

"It's me...and Ricky. Having a child."

"Mhm, never mind."

"But..."

She grins,

"But?"

"If I were to get pregnant, I wouldn't be upset."

"Girl, i'm telling him you said that."

"No! Don't! I'm still not talking to him."

"Too late,"

She pulls out her phone and quickly types something,

"Lina you're driving!"

"So? We're here."

She pulls into her driveway and excitedly hopes out of the car.

I cautiously follow behind her, taking in this new and unfamiliar place. The place is large but not as big as Ricky's mansion.

The front yard is perfectly groomed and has a nice fountain. It's quite lovely.

"We're going up to my room."

I nod and let her pull me behind her. The inside was not what I was expecting. It gave off a 70's vibe; s.h.a.g carpets, a sunken living room and lots of antique furniture.

"I have to pee. Where's the bathroom?"

"Down the hall and take a left, but when you're done i'll be upstairs."

"Mkay."

I speed walk to the bathroom and burst open the door. The room is filled with steam and Lina's older brother is standing in front of me with only a towel hiding his bits and pieces.

Embarra.s.sed and confused I turn around to hide my blus.h.i.+ng face,

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were in here."

"It's cool, you're Lina's friend right?"

"Y-yeah, Kazmaria, but you can call me Kaz."

"I'm Joaquin, her oldest brother."

He chuckles,

"You can turn around now. I'll leave."

He walks past me and a familiar scent fills my nose,

'Where have I seen him before?'

"Wait!"

He faces me,

"Yes?"

"I uh, I don't know which room Lina sais she was going to."

"She's in her parlor on the top floor, I could show you if ya like."

"I think i'll manage, thanks."

"Anytime."

"So what do we think of this one?"

I do a slow spin in the dress,

"I don't know, I like it but..."

"But what?"

"It's a little tight in this area."

"What? Oh your b.o.o.bs. They're big as h.e.l.l, of course it's gonna be a sung fit."

"Oh my G.o.d, can you not?"

"Hmm, whatever i'll change."

"Aww, you're the best!"

I twirl around in the dress and look at myself in the mirror,

'This is really happening, i'm getting married!'

"Ok mama, you can change back into your clothes and i'll work on the finis.h.i.+ng touches."

My phone buzzes in my pocket,

"h.e.l.lo?"

"Yo, hermanita."

"Oh hey Carlos, what's up?"

Lina unzips the dress and I hand it to her.

"What time you plan on rolling in?"

I pull on my shorts,

"Is Ricky making you ask me?"

"He wouldn't stop b.i.t.c.hing."

"Hm, put me on speaker,"

A beep comes from the other side of the phone,

"Ricky, will you calm the f.u.c.k down?! I'll see you when I see you. Chill the f.u.c.k out."

"Kaz I-"

I hang up the phone before he can finish his sentence.

"Kazzie, I have to get to work on this right now so my brother'll take you home."

"Which one?"

"Well considering that Joaquin's the only one home right now. I texted him earlier, he's waiting outside."

"Mhm, well gimme my hug Lili."

She squeezes me and gives me a quick peck on my cheek,

"I can't thank you enough for this Lili."

"Don't mention it babe, now take your cute a.s.s home."

I give her one last hug and make my way back down the stairs and sure enough her brother is waiting for me by the front door.

I follow him outside and into a nice luxury car. It look far more expensive than the one Lina was driving. With its leather interior design, big s.h.i.+ny rims and tinted windows.

"She's a beauty, isn't she?"

"A Bugatti La Voiture Noire; 1,500 hp and 1,180 pound-foot of torque that propels it from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It has a quad turbo W-16 engine with a top speed of 261 mph. Their worth almost 19 million dollars."

He stares at me in disbelief,

"How the h.e.l.l do you know that?"

He opens the door for me and I slide inside the beautiful car,

"Ricky has three that he keep the garage. He treats they like their his babies."

He starts up the car and we take off. The purring engine sounds lively and ready to take the road.

"I guess I care for them too...maybe a little bit more than he does."

"Can't say I blame ya, who wouldn't want one of these babies?"

We spent the whole car ride talking about all the different kinds of cars we liked and which ones we think would make good racers.

"Well, we're here."

He lets me out if the car and rolls down the window,

"Thanks for the ride home Joaquin."

"No problem. Give me a ring if you need anything."

He scribbles down his number on my hand and pulls away.

"Well well, look who finally decides to show up!"

I spin around and meet Ricky's snarl,

"Before you say anything just go back upstairs. I really need to talk to you."

He glares at Joaquin then leaves.

'What was that all about?'
