The Lotus And The Peach Blossom Men -1 The Fallen Realm

*Three hundred years ago*

An imperturbable night solemnly struck within the Heavenly Realm. The moon begun to shed its light innocently together with the billions of stars twinkled upon the Kingdoms. It should be another kind of countless nights.

The mothers should be singing a lullaby to their children now, even after the tiring day. The fathers should be snoring loudly just like the other days, caused by their selfless works. While the children should be sleeping soundly, playing on their dreams, hugging their cus.h.i.+ons as if they had a long day. The youth should be visioning themselves in their sleep, must be one of the great cultivators, or maybe an immortal. The n.o.bles should be sipping their wine, enjoying the taste of their power and wealth. The Kings should be planning for another day again though a load of works today must be enough for their whole week.

Yet each living ent.i.ty even the royal blood families from different kingdoms bowed their heads on the ground, pleading for their life, shamelessly asking for mercy, crying for the common good. An hour had pa.s.sed but it was still a peaceful night as ever. So some were already on their feet, whisking off the dirt from their robes. But a blistering heat of wind pa.s.sed in their body. Each and everyone warmed as the numbness spread in their body. The moon suddenly turned into a ball of blood followed by the stars. But this wasn't the thing which everyone afraid of, it was the horrifying misery that was about to bestow upon them.

"Immortal G.o.ddess, please spare our lives!" they all cried, pus.h.i.+ng their heads on the ground even more. Then some of the immortal G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses showed up in each kingdom, guarding the clans.

"Yue'Ai, why do you need to go this further? You will be the next empress of Sky Kingdom, how could you act repulsively in front of your subjects." the emperor of Sky Kingdom echoed in the whole realm.

"I will be the next empress but before that, I am a wife, a mother! Or should I say, I was and that's because of the Sky Kingdom and these subjects you're talking about!"

"Yue'Ai, it was the fate of your husband and your daughter-"

"No, you killed them! All of you! You ridiculed my daughter, you threw your sharp words on my thorn-back and this led my daughter to end her life. My husband was tormented by our daughter's death, he tortured himself until he lost his breath. Now, how can I let it pa.s.s and sit as your empress? Tell me!"

"Yue'Ai!"

"Immortal G.o.ddess!"

"You treated the existence of my daughter as the lowliest being in this realm. I shall give back the same favor." There was a cold wind pa.s.sed upon them but everyone didn't feel it because they were dumb as they slowly raised their heads. The sky was dripping blood, showering each and everyone was unutterably horrifying for them.

"Let my blood flows into the depths of your soul, the thorns of my heart shall hug the entire realm, and my agony shall spread in every household." Yue'Ai showed before them. Her garments were flaming, turning to blood as it scattered around.

Everyone clung to their hands, wailing as if they had no chance to live anymore, as if the immortal G.o.ddess was strangling their throat, preventing them to breath.

But all of a sudden, a strange night-s.h.i.+ning clouds covered the b.l.o.o.d.y sky. As snowflakes began to fell on the ground.

It was indeed a disaster!

The droplets of blood and the snowflakes were as if battling in the sky.

"It's too late, my blood is already splayed out in the entire realm. Don't waste your energy and hear I say." before, Yue'Ai's voice was soothing but now, it came out dry and ruthless.

"Every bloodline will have an offspring who will atone and pay for your sins. You will taste the cruelty, the inexorable greed, and the unkindness of one another. You will never be at peace unless you wield your swords, turned the ground into bloodshed. Even you seek for help, the sky will be deaf and blind." Yue'Ai imprecated, as her body turned into a sphere of blood then it blasted. The beads of blood swallowed the snowflakes mercilessly. As the immortal G.o.d and G.o.ddesses disappeared at once. The sound of trumpets enveloped the realm, closing the gate of Sky Kingdom.

The night grew deep yet everyone was still thunderstruck, shaken as if there's no life anymore. The gloomy sky, the blood-red on the ground, the whimper of everyone only made the night lifeless.

Tomorrow. Children would still play, youth would still live as cultivators, the role of the mothers and the fathers remained as the kings would still sit at their throne. Yet it will be different from their previous days.

"Poor ones, there'll be no hope, no light, no essence of life. The glorious days had gone and the darkness has just begun." the old man said as he turned his back.

And just like that, the Heavenly Realm had fallen.
