Dream, Where True Love Lies 2 Dream 1: The Encounter

The world is covered in darkness, yet the radiance of twinkling stars brings illumination in the night sky.

10:30 PM

Just as the vast outspread of city lights sparkling in the dim of night, and the noises of vehicle brakes, engines and horns are slowly toning down...one lady is peacefully sleeping.

*Snoring* (Scratches her tummy)

While she is soundly asleep, she dreams about a guy who wears a hood, and riding a beautiful black stallion that is running hurriedly in the middle of a village road.

"Ha!Yah!" The guy shouted as if he's desperate to arrive to where he is going.

"I must hurry up or else I'll be late for my brother's birth!" He hastily said as he holds unto his horse tightly. The horse gallops and runs as fast as it can while carrying a quiet heavy gift on the saddle bag.

On the other hand while the lady's fast asleep, she suddenly felt something strange. A warm energy emits from it. Then, as neon white lights surrounds her...

"It feels different what kind of feeling is this? It's something that I can't explain. It feels like I'm floating, but...It's like I-I'm... "

And as she opens her eyes…she got taken a back and had her eyes widely open while she exclaimed, "I'M FALLING!?"

She brought out a loud voice as she is overturned.

"W-WAIT!!! Why is this happening!? What is happening!? I'm going crazy!! *Arghh!* help!help!No wait!"

While she fidgets, she quickened her breathing and brought out a high-pitched laughter. "Ah-hah-h-haha! This is just a dream hha a dream right, just a dream?" She continuously convinced herself.

"Well man! If this is a dream then it must be a nightmare!!! C'mon Fai wake up!wake up!" She desperately said while pinching her cheeks hardly.

"No, this is not working." She pouted like she had given up. Then, she just made her body relax until the light carried her and embrace her gently while she slowly falls down on the ground. But it wasn't a successful landing so she fell in a terrible impact.

*THUD*

"Oww ouch, that hurts!" She grumbled with her eyebrows close together while she rubs her rump.

She sat and took a time to look around. She saw a very green highland full of mountains, trees, many beautiful flowers and even village houses from afar to where she is sitting at. As the wind blows, she felt a very refres.h.i.+ng breeze while her hair is swept. She wondered and looked up in the sky while tucking her hair behind her left ear...

"What is this place? It looks enchanted and it's a very beautiful place..." Suddenly, she paused for a moment and observes the place thoroughly as her eyes wanders around.

Then something came up to her…

(*gasps*)

-W-wait, am I inside my dreams!? Gosh, this can't be!

(*slowly placing her hand over her mouth*)

I remember this is exactly what I'm dreaming about a while ago.

(*Looks around swiftly*)

And…I am in the middle of a…Valley road right?" She was baffled and confusion was painted in her face as if she can't believe what is happening.

Then suddenly, she heard a sound of horse approaching. *gallop-gallop-gallop*

Before she can even able to move aside, all of a sudden---

*THUD!*

"Ugh!" She groaned in pain as she found herself being hit by the rus.h.i.+ng horse.

"Whooooo!!!" The guy riding it made the horse stopped right away. With anxiety in his eyes, he jumps down the horse immediately and came to her. He suddenly grabbed her shoulders, and with a furrowed brow, he shouted, "Hey! Do you want to die!? Why did you not move aside huh!? Who's crazy sleeping on the center of the road daylight HUH!?"

"Oh yeah!? I was expecting a sorry from you but instead of apologizing after hitting me with this black big horse of yours (*pointing at the horse*), (*EEK!* the horse flinched) Rather, you're scolding me!? What right do you have!?" She angrily replied whilst she raise her eyebrows and gritted her teeth.

"Haaa…*sighs* Ok, fine. I'm sorry. I was just in a hurry. Are you alright? Well, judging from when you shouted at me, I think you already are." He then stood up and climbed back his horse.

"Wait! Are you seriously going to leave me here? Here?" She can't believe how cold-hearted he is, leaving after b.u.mping into a girl.

"Sorry, but I can't take you with me. I'm sooo in a hurry just so you know." He insisted while he puts an indifferent expression on his face.

Fai was left no choice but to just let her mouth slowly drops open by his insensitivity. Before he leaves, he uttered out an advice with a grinned on his face. "By the way, next time don't go wandering around barefooted, at least wear some shoes will you."

After he said that, she immediately looks at her feet and had her eyes wide open as if the ball on her eyes would come out, she draw her breath sharply as she realizes that she really is shoeless.

In her thoughts, "Why did I not noticed it earlier? Why am I not wearing any shoes? Oh yeah, I was sleeping when I got here. But anyway, what's important is where exactly this place is? And how did I end up here? How and when can I return? I don't know what to do anymore, all's crumpled up in my mind. Maybe I could just ask the guy..." she wondered.

While she is thinking, the guy leaves. She looks at where the guy was before, but he is not there anymore. When she look the other way, the guy riding the horse is there rus.h.i.+ng towards where he is going.

She then decided to run after him. In the thought that he could help her know where she is. She doesn't mind chasing the running horse while being shoeless at all. For her, even though the horse is fast, all she can do is just try, try to chase it in hope that she could find something. So, she followed him, running while shouting with all her might, "HEY!!!MR. Hoooooodddy!!!(Because he is wearing a hood) Wait! (*panting*) Please wait! (*panting*) PLEAASEE WAIIIIIT!!!" She decided to scream her heart out because she couldn't chase anymore.

The guy heard her and stopped the horse. Looking at his back, she saw the girl panting in tiredness. "Why is she calling out? Why did she run after me? Does she want compensation? Tsk! as if she's really injured. She's…just delaying me."

He decided to pursue going but he stopped and clenched his fist and jaw. He brought out a deep sigh and look at the road ahead of him. "Sorry Brother! I'll just compensate for you! I cannot just leave this so-called injured girl alone here right?" He closed his eyes regretting and had no choice but to turn the horse back to where the lady is.

As she saw that the guy turned around, Fai decided to run and meet him. "Phew, it's a good thing that you came back. It's really hard to chase after a horse you know (*deep sigh*) I feel exhausted."

The guy looked at her with confusion and a.s.serted, "Who told you to run after us anyway? no one right? Now you're complaining, I should be the one to complain because you're wasting my time, I'm on a hurry just so you know."

"I'm sorry but please don't misunderstand ok? I'm not complaining at all." She firmly defended while waving her hands stating that she is really not complaining.

"Ok, so will you please stop wasting my time miss? If you have something to say then speak it out already will you? Can't you see I'm on a hurry?" He imposed.

"Uh um, *deep breaths* Alright then, I guess I don't have any choice, I'll just say it. Can I go with you? It's just that I don't have anywhere to go and besides I don't know this place either. Tell me, where you are going anyway?" She asked as she smiled brightly while eager to wait for his answer. But…what she had expected was the opposite.

He was taken aback by her way of speaking to him, he replied while pointing at her "Whwhat? You insolent shoeless girl! Why are you casually talking to me? Do you know who I am!? And why should I bring you to where I'm going huh? Who are you to demand that!?"

She shrugs her shoulders and answered, "Oh well, I'm sorry if I offended you, but as I mentioned a while ago, I don't know this place so I don't know about the people here either. I don't know you so I just casually talk to you. I'm sorry if I'm not in the position to do that."

Something came up to her mind and she added with a teasing tone in her voice, "Oh, now I know, so should I add mister, or sir, or master, or boss, or PRINCE when I talk to you? Should I address you something like that hmm? We look like we're on the same age so yeah, we don't need to be so formal with each other right? Unless it is different from here..."

The guy rolled his eyes and brought out an exasperated sigh,"Haaa…Nah forget about it, you talk too much." He irritatingly said and he added, "Anyways if you don't know me then why are you willing to go with me? Aren't you afraid that I might be a bad guy?" He asked.

"It's not like I have a choice right? You were the first person I saw in this unfamiliar place so I'm putting my trust in you. I think I can trust you...So can you please take me with you, please." She pleaded while constantly blinking her eyes.

The guy looked at her straight in the eye and waggled his brows. "Well, in my case, I was taught not to trust people easily especially to strangers like you, sorry *smirks* now bye!"

"Bu-but!" Fai muttered as she bows her head while her lips is turned down.

Seconds later, the guy looked back and face palmed, "Ugh! I'm sooo frustrated! I want to leave her here but I can't!"

Fai can't believe that he really didn't leave her so she was in daze. For her, she confirmed that he really is a good person.

"Hey, do not just stand there, now are you perhaps lost in thoughts because of me? Huh?" He said while snapping to wake her up.

"Uh-umm, you didn't leave me!" she happily said and then she a.s.serted while patting the horse, "Oh! What a gentleman you can be!"

He smirked and stated, "Hmm, don't rejoice yet and don't get your hopes up, I just came back to check whether you are truly innocent or an enemy, cause you know, many of them wanders around nowadays and who knows if you're one of them and you are up to something. What if the enemies sent you huh? I cannot guarantee my safety towards you. Now, is it clear? Sorry to say this but I, do not trust you."

"Oh, is that so? Why? Is it so hard to trust a cute girl like me? Huh?" She smiled placing her hands on her cheeks and blinks her eyes.

"Yikes! Will you stop that? It's disgusting! You're not cute at all, and you're crazy!" He exclaimed with a disgusted face.
