In Terra, the value of magix is the same everywhere. Magix is in everything and everywhere, a result of the evolution of the planet. The planet depends on magix and the flow of magix depends on the planet.

The types of magix are divided into the stages at which they evolved.

-Elder Magix that included darkness, light, cosmic energy, time, s.p.a.ce.

-Complete Magix that included air, water, land, ice, fire, nature.

-Incomplete Magix that included life, death, spirit, and soul.

The order of strength is from top to bottom. The stages at which the magix make a full circulation, indicated by the circle of life at which the magix develops for a period of time are;

-Mage Unbudded; similar to a normal human, possessing an unbudded stage of magix.

-Mage Seedling

-Mage Beginner

-Mage Apprentice

-Mage Intermediary

-Mage Master

-Mage Grandmaster

-Mage Honormaster

-Mage Supreme

Someone like Quella was a Mage Master. Ilan was also a Mage Master. The highest in the whole village. Lesker couldn't pin point the level he was at exactly but he knew he possessed magix. So, many people and he himself, treated him as a Mage Unbudded.

For someone like him to travel alone, even if he couldn't die, it was still a risk. What's more, he was taking a young boy with him. He had to ensure his safety.

So, asking Ilan to go with him was his next choice.

"You want to be a travelling book merchant?"

Ilan asked with a pondering look. Lesker nodded. He was nervous and felt bad for asking him for a favor like that but Ilan was a very good friend of his. If he got his memory back, he would like to repay him.

"Hmm, it's not bad. So, you want me to go with you? That's a bit hard"

"If you can't do it, it's fine. I could hire some mercenaries to accompany me"

"It's not like I can't. I'm the strongest in the village and the best hunter. I can't just leave. However, I'm sure I'll find a way. Besides, I can't say no if you ask me for something. We've lived together for so long yet you haven't asked me for a single thing. You should rely on me more Lesker"

"You've helped me so much, it'll be shameless to ask you for something"

"You should be shameless then. After all, I'm your most important friend"

"Is that so? How about you do me a favor right now?"

"Hun?"

"Hide me"

"What? Lesker..."

Lesker ducked behind Ilan before he could complete his statement. Ilan's build was large enough to cover Lesker and he soon discovered why the latter asked him to hide him.

"Ilan, such a coincidence running into you here" Sora, one of the village maidens approached him. A village maiden is an unmarried female trainee under a Mage Master. Sora was very talented so she was a precious thing to the village, giving her a huge boost in self confidence.

For Ilan and Lesker, she was a huge pain in the neck. It wasn't a coincidence running into Ilan, that they both knew. She smiled brightly at him.

"I thought I heard you say Lesker"

"Me, I said nothing of the sort. Why are you here anyway? Aren't you supposed to be training?"

"I am. I asked Sister Quella to be my trainer"

'Sister?!' the two men yelled in their minds. Ilan cleared his throat.

"When did you become close to call her Sister?"

"How's that your business, oaf? Are you interested in her?"

"Hey watch your mouth little girl!"

"Sensitive as always" Sora said, snickering.

Ilan just grunted and stood his ground. It wasn't worth it to be angered by such a little pest like her.

"Anyways if you see Lesker, tell him I want to attend the festival with him next month"

"I'll be sure to deliver your message, p.r.i.c.kly maiden"

"I hope you stumble on your sword one day" she said with a sarcastic smile.

"Die, won't you?" he returned with the same frevor.

"If only you die first" she replied, blowing him a mock kiss. She stalked off, leaving an annoyed Ilan behind.

"Oh cosmos, I want to hit her so bad" Ilan grumbled, rubbing his forehead.

"Even though you were the one trying to set us up a few days ago?" Lesker pointed out with a chuckle.

"It's hard to resist that brat, you know that"

"Of course. Our poor oaf is in love"

Ilan s.h.i.+vered and gave him a disgusted look.

"Don't ever say that again, please. I can catch stupidity just by staying next to her"

"Haha, as always Ilan, you're intriguing"

"Says the man shrouded in mystery"

"You know, speaking of mystery, hearing Sora call Quella Sister is one"

"I'm sure the brat cozied up to her. Sora has always been power hungry and she'll do anything to stay on top"

"That sort of determination is both terrifying and admirable in such a young girl"

"It is a cruel world after all. Come on, let's go home. Make dinner for me"

"Don't say it like that, it sounds like you're courting me"

"Well shall I court you, our dear village Beau Lesker?"

"Why not court Sora? I'm sure she'll make a lovely bride, haha"

"That joke just turned my stomach. You've got to stop making those jokes"
