Lloyd looked at both Malcer and Kevin, who were beginning for battle.

Malcer looked like he was eager to end the fight and Kevin was looking at his opponent. But he was secretly observing Lloyd from the side of his vision.

'He is really taking this entire tournament lightly as it is beneath him' Kevin thought while looking at Lloyd. 'Either he is acting so that he is making an illusion of strength or maybe he is really on a other level compared to others'.

'By observing his agility and strength he displayed I am absolutely certain that it is second one and that means he is the only opponent I know that I can't defeat unless I use my trump card'

'even thought Derek is strong and at 9th origin stage. I can defeat him easily but I cant even find Lloyd's cultivation level. He is a dangerous'

Kevin was a genius and because of this talent he was selected as seeded member of Phoenix clan, Even thought he didn't have any of the Phoenix bloodline in him.

Since childhood he could sense and see what other couldn't and because of his sense that he become strong and survive. Before he became member of the clan he used to live in a village near a forest with his parents but all of ended on a that cursed day in which his village was. .h.i.t by attack due a fight between two cultivators.

Kevin was 5years old and his father who was a hunter brought him to forest to start his training as a hunter. Since he was young his only target was rabbits which was caught by traps he set.

While he and his father was returning to the village with his first ever kill, they heard a loud boom from the village and followed by an aftershock which almost sent them flying away. He and his father survived initial attack on the village.

Kevin saw the attack was on the other side of the village and soon the village was covered by a dark green fog. His eyes followed the path of the fog and when it touched any gra.s.s or trees, it stared to wither.

"Something happened to village. Stay behind the rock and hide" His father said to him.

He must return to the village and find out what happened. If it is too dangerous at least he must save his wife. He didn't want to leave his son but he cant bring him to the village. He and his son was struck between village which was attacked at front and forest with dangerous animals at the back which his son couldn't deal with. So he could only leave him here and return for his son later. Since they are already near the village, no animals would come here and from the loud sound he heard just now may cause all the other animals to escape from here. So his son is save here temporarily.

"but father look ....the ....fog...the green fog" before he can warn his father. His saw his father rush toward the village as he didn't really see the fog.

Just then he saw a flash above the village as he turn his eyes upward and two human figure way up above in the air and was surprised.

What really surprised him was not only the human up in the air but also figure made up of something flowing above the human and encase them. One of them have a figure of a dark green scaled snake and other had a purple bird encased on them.

Just as he turned his head to shout at his father about the human flying in the sky. He saw his father lying on the ground inside the fog.

"NO….NO…NO" Kevin cried out.

"Father....Father…..Father" he cried to his father to wake him up. he wanted to run to father but he couldn't move. His legs were s.h.i.+vering while looking at the fog as it would eat him up as soon as he reached towards it.

Just as he was condemning on his state he heard a loud screech and a purple light fall on the village and this it and the started to glow in purple and vanished before his eyes. Even the strange fog also vanished

Just as he was perplexed by the slight before and understand what has happened. His brain could not process everything that is happening.

He didn't get any time as wind gushed from behind him and took him with it toward the huge empty hole left behind by the village. he fell into the hole and screamed as he could feel pain he never felt before gushed to his mind. Bones in his body was broken at multiple locations and some areas one could even see bones pierced from his skin. He was in critical condition. He could die at any moment.

He couldn't take the pain anymore and lost conscious.

Just as Kevin lost conscious. Cloud stared to form above the sky and a lighting appeared. It fallen towards and Kevin and got absorbed by his body and with a yellow glow his injuries started to disappear. Only thing left indicating he was injured was his torn clothes and his expression of pain on his face.
